Why are people arguing about realism?

Seriously lilac & maroon based or marked lions will NEVER exist. Not even if you crossbred them with other species.

A Liger/Tigon marking is far more realistic then that - at least you can physically see it in the world, know it exists, and can actually happen. Who knows, maybe in the future lions will gain similar striping as tigers as evolution happens.

Its just ridiculous to say this shouldn't be added due to realism. If that was how we judged everything there wouldn't be Slate, Maroon, or Lilac lions or Maroon and Lilac markings.

I assume people are bashing ME because realism is a bit of my post :x

By that, we don't meet tigers in-game ever. Not even in the Jungle bit of explore if I remember right(only panthers as far as cats are there)To randomly have a tiger mark to make a tigon/liger bothers me because it can't happen unless the other species is present.

Most of the unrealistic marks do bother me a bit, but just randomly having another species(lion/tiger) playable in the game when half isn't present? It bothers me more. I already stated in my first post that I may be being irrational, but that's my viewpoint. I would appreciate people laying off if my view on realism bothers them so much

There is a tiger decor. So to say there aren't tigers in the game... Is not totally true :P (Not in the explore part and such, but well X3)
And I don't see this as another specie to be hones, I see this more as another weird-ish marking :P

The tiger decor is just that. A decor.

Just because there's a tiger decor doesn't mean there are tigers "canonically" in the game. By that logic dragons are in the game because there's dragon decor. :/

That said, I cannot support simply because ligers do not naturally occur in the wild. Vitiligo as stated before is a condition that can occur in many species therefore it's completely feasible for lions to have it. Lions also have rosette "panther" markings so again I don't feel those are good examples for "unrealistic" markings.

Well leg/tail banding isn't seen in lions, nor are the colors maroon, prune, fiery, lilac, black or onyx. So we're past the point of realism. If you don't like the marking, you don't have to buy lion/ess with said marking, but it should be available for those who want it.

So their is arguing about realism? Someone put light on this subject and tell me where in the wild do you see, Maroons/Fierys/Cocoas/Lilacs/ETC.... What about Vitiligo, and Hetero eyes, and the rest of the newer stuff. This game isn't anywhere near realistic. -end rant-

There was no arguing. One person brought it up and everyone else jumped on them about it, then I mentioned it. No arguing whatsoever, just people stating why they feel it's not fitting. ._.

As for vitiligo, it's documented many species including big cats so as far as I'm concerned it's not unrealistic. We have unnatural coat colors (those who favor realism don't like them either) but we should have a balance between realistic and unrealistic aspects to try to keep everyone satisfied. Many people arguing realism are doing so because they don't want the game to be completely overrun with fantasy elements to the point where it becomes some fantasy kitty breeder game.

Um, just because we HAVE slate, prune firey lilac ect. colors and markings doesn't necessarily mean we SHOULD. Or should not. I don't think that's a feasible argument. Its like saying 'well we have maroon so we may as well add Gang Green lions since we've thrown that out there' that's not a good reason to do something. That's just... silly honestly.

Also, if I may add another point to this matter, Xylax himself stated plainly that the only reason Maltese, the color that started it all was added was by popular demand. Even HE didn't want to do it, and maltese is a NATURAL TIGER COLOR. I dont see him adding something like this unless the entire site goes up in arms for it, and I dont think thats going to happen. =/

EXACTLY how I feel about that argument. The way I see it people will just keep using it to suggest things that may not fit it with the game. "We have x so why not have y too?"

And how exactly should we or shouldn't we have a a certain color? No where in this game did it state that Lioden would try and be a realistic as possible.

If people like gag green why not add it? If it doesn't look good to one person, that person has the option to not buy it. But for those who do like it, they should have it available.

I was against maltese(hate the color), but oh well it got added and so I don't buy it, but some people like and they do, good for them.
