The dogs at the therapy barn are definitely great to be around during breaks! A couple of them can get a little rowdy, but they don’t go after the horses directly at least. Plus they’re super sweet to the kids

That's what I'm talking about man! The therapy barn I go to sometimes says no dogs unless on leash (so we rarely get any dogs) because it *could* be dangerous. I honestly think it would be fine (again it would have to be well trained dogs but a lot of the dogs are very polite)

The only dog that seems like a permanent resident is an older gal, some kind of shepherd but idk what breed. There’s a lab that I think lives there too, but she’s a lot younger. The two poodles are owned by the owner of the barn and one of the managers, respectively. They’re pretty good around the kids, if a bit energetic, and one of the poodles has the habit of barking at people. Even if she knows them lol
We usually just put them in the office when they get too rowdy. The place is out in the country, so there isn’t anybody walking out with their own dogs.

I love it! I really do think it makes the barn so much more welcoming because horses can be a bit intimidating to new people and dogs are usually so friendly

I completely agree hahah. All of the dogs at our barn are super laid back, so there haven’t been any accidents. They usually follow us on trails as well they like to scout ahead, so it’s harder to see wildlife but somehow we still manage to encounter it anyways. I think they’re used to it tbh lol
