This RP is part of "The United Clans" universe. Welcome to the border between Terraclan and Aetherclan. Before you start, make sure you've signed up and read the rules! Aetherclan only has strange scents to go on, as Terraclan's cats often stay hidden and try to avoid being seen. For now, they observe their neighbour, waiting for the right time. The right time has come and Aetherclan now knows Terraclan exist, however they still do not have much information to go on, other than that their new neighbour seems rather aggressive. [This is just a quick wrap up to get Cherry, Venus, and Cypresspaw heading back to camp] After the loner told Cypresspaw her name was Venus, the medicine cat seemed a bit more trusting. She did not seem hostile, though he still eyed the tom at her side. Letting the loners know that they should get going, Cypresspaw turned to spot Cherry hiding. Shaking his head a bit, he walked over to the she-kit. In the meantime, ony Venus got ready to leave and not her brother. "You're not supposed to be out alone", the young medicine cat said. Although his words scolded her, the apprentice's voice was filled with pride. The she-kit had actually managed to follow him, all this way. "Come on, time to head back", Cypresspaw said, looking back to Venus to make sure she was coming with them. "We don't want to miss your meeting, now do we?", Cypresspaw asked, leaning down and grabbing Cherry by the scruff of her neck. Soon Cypresspaw, carrying Cherry, lead Venus through Aetherclan territory and towards the direction of camp. (Back to the Aetherclan board) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Birchheart - 27 Moons - Deputy - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Terrastar ID, Ratpelt, Mintwhisper, Sootheart, Risingstorm, Rainblossom, Open! Birchheart padded back into camp as Terrastar made the announcement to gather up. She perched herself up on a rock, her tail lashing with anticipation. “Ratpelt, Mintwhisper, Sootheart, Risingstorm, and Rainblossom, gather up! The time is now!” The deputy yowled. She wasn’t as nervous as before. She knew in her heart who to trust. She was confident in her clan, and was ready to defend it. Though she didn’t quite agree with this attack, she knew it was what must be done. Her mind fell back to the battle. How exhilarating! Her first clan battle. She didn’t really like fighting others, but it was in her nature to fight. Wars between clans couldn’t be avoided. She still worried some, realizing that all that go into this fight, may not come back in the end, including herself. She shook her head.”, they were prepared. She wasn’t going to die, neither will Owlpaw, Risingstorm, or any others. Mintwhisper- 35 Moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions (ID): Birchheart, Ratpelt, Open! Mintwhisper’s eats twitched as she heard Birchheart call her name as well as the other members of their group. She glanced at Ratpelt, nodding to him before joining up with the rest of the group. A serious expression settled on her face as she thought of the upcoming battle. She had already been in one skirmish with Aetherclan and although there was no violence she could tell that their warriors were fierce. She didn’t quite believe that they were as cowardly as Terrastar said they were, she wasn’t going to be the one to underestimate her opponent. She shook her head slightly and looked around at the gathered cats. She had a duty to her clan, she’d fight to protect them even if she didn’t think the battle was worth it. Oakdapple more than appreciated Foxpaw's dedication to the idea of watching out for him and protecting him, but taking into consideration what Sootheart had told him, he would still have to be on his guard at all times. This would especially be the case considering the way that Terrastar portrayed AetherClan to him and the rest of their Clan - he trusted no cat to necessarily respect the rule to leave medicine cats unharmed. The young tom noticed that Foxpaw did seem a little dazed and put off when he had brought up the Dark Forest, and he had found that a bit of a common theme amongst the cats that he talked to. Why did so many cats seem so repulsed by even the mention of the Dark Forest, when they were a source of such power and wisdom? It didn't make sense to him; he thought the fantasies of StarClan were just for AetherClan cats, after all. The medicine cat snatched a mouse from the fresh-kill pile as he heard he summons from Terrastar to leave for the attack. He swallowed it in quick bites as fast as he could, before padding hurriedly back to his den and gathering as many herbs as he could carry that would be used to treat the most major injuries. Those who gained minor wounds could surely wait until they had returned back to camp before he treated them. He gathered the things he would need into a neat bundle, picking it up and padding over to Foxpaw again. "Come on, we wouldn't want to get left behind." He mewed to her, his words muffled by the bundle he was carrying. With that, he trotted out of camp and followed in Terrastar's pawsteps, eagerly anticipating some action as they headed for the border with AetherClan. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Risingstorm - 29 Moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Birchheart, Ratpelt ID, Mintwhisper ID, Sootheart ID, Rainblossom ID, Open! Risingstorm still found himself a cat of few words, ever since the announcement that they would be thrust into battle. His paws didn't budge at the command of his friend and deputy -- at least, not initially --, and his eyes were dull. Was he ready for battle? He had never fought against or among so many cats before, and even the skirmishes of his youth had typically ended swiftly as he would flee from his assailants. Not that he would be fleeing this battle; not by a long shot. He would lay his life down for any member of his clan, whether he was ready for it or not. Warriors were not supposed to kill; Terrastar said it, himself. Rigidly trotting to his deputy's side, he sighed. He was just grateful he was assigned to the patrol with the cats he was most familiar with, whether he approved of them or not. It would certainly aid his confidence once they left camp. We don't know why Aetherclan never reclaimed their camp; and even though it was egregious for Fernstar to attack Terrastar, is this the right course of action to take on their clan? I have no right to question our leader's judgement, nor will I disobey, but.... he thought solemnly to himself as he gazed upon each member of the patrol that approached at Bichheart's yowl. 0 players like this post! Sootheart - 16 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Birchheart, Risingstorm, Mintwhisper ID, Ratpelt ID, Rainblossom ID, Oakdapple ID, Foxpaw ID, Open At Birchheart's yowl, Sootheart sighs. Finally! She rolls to her paws and shakes her pelt free of any leaves that might have clung to her while she was doing 'yogi'. The grey warrior trots over to the group with dirt still dusting her back and tail. She stands beside Risingstorm with twitching paws and bright eyes. Sootheart looks around at the cats in her wave. Mintwhisper and Birchheart look determined and she didnt even bother glancing toward Ratpelt. He made his disapproval of this attack clearly known. Fiery eyes land on Risingstorm last and his expression gives Sootheart pause. "Are you okay, Risingstorm?" The tabby looks worried and the she-cat wants to cheer him up a bit before they set out. She knows the tom is strong but any cat can be overtaken when their mind is elsewhere. "We'll win, if that's what you're worried about and with Oakdapple's skills and my adorable apprentice guarding him, no cat will be seriously injured," she says with an upbeat tone. Sootheart doesn't know how much it helped, if at all, but it's all she has to offer to the other warrior. Just then, she spots Oakdapple and Foxpaw leave to follow Terrastar and some of her own confidence fades. Please whatever higher power exists, whether it be Starclan or the Dark Forest, please please please don't let Foxpaw get hurt. 0 players like this post! She moticed that Risingstorm looked a little nervous, and gave him a softer look. She knew how nerve wracking this whole battle was. “We are instructed not to kill, and if Aetherclan has any dignity, they won’t either.” Birchheart meowed. She took note of Sootheart’s attempt to comfort him as well. She couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit jealous, however, she felt it was time to let go of Risingstorm. She watched as both Terrastar’s group, and Oakdapple left the camp. “Alright everyone, let’s head to Aetherclan’s border, it’s time for the attack.” Birchheart spoke. “Remember, do not kill any warrior, we are simply there to teach them a lesson on how to be a true warrior. Fight with your life, and good luck.” Birchheart meowed. She hopped off the rock and padded out towards the camp. Once she reatched the border of the forest, she bolted towards Aetherclan territory. Risingstorm - 29 Moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp -> Following Birchheart - Mentions: Birchheart, Sootheart, Ratpelt, Open! He looked at the she-cat next to him, a distinctive, morose frown across his muzzle. Her fiery eyes seemed to score across his face, although her voice was kind and encouraging. At least she seemed prepared for the battle soon to come. "Yes...I've never faced so many cats in combat before. I'm not sure what to expect, but I hope I won't let you all down." He nodded in approval at her confidence of the outcome of the battle and took a deep breath. His thoughts may not be as open as Ratpelt's, yet his expression gave all of his discomfort away. He just hoped he wouldn't be a disappointment to himself of his clan when it mattered most. He closed his eyes slowly, breathing in deeply through his nose. Everything would be alright. Opening them again, his gaze wandered to Birchheart. His friend was right, of course; he need not worry about death. They were going to attack Aetherclan to prove what true warriors Terraclan was, and to claim the territory that laid barren of which they chose not to take back. Terraclan was growing steadily, and he knew it. Every cat did. A small smile rose across his maw, instead. "You're right, Birchheart; thank you. I already feel better knowing you'll be at my side." He dipped his head shortly yet respectfully at her, before looking upon the rest of the patrol. His ear unconsciously flicked when he noticed Sootheart's purposeful evasion of Ratpelt. I suppose I can understand why, he began to think to himself. Yet he still felt sympathy for the tom. He's fighting a battle he doesn't believe in, and Terrastar said some pretty serious things in front of the whole clan about it. Risingstorm made sure his glance didn't hover for too long, as he felt that Ratpelt didn't approve of him much as it already stood. Ratpelt - 21 moons - warrior - injured hind leg - following birchheart - mentions: Risingstorm, Birchheart ID: Sootheart Ratpelt grits his teeth as he watches the cats remain jittery. He sits as listens to Birchheart. 'This is such a fish brain idea,' he thinks sharply before moving his short leg up to scratch at the thick curls and then behind his ear. He feels the small wound sting but he licks it quickly. He grumbles an insult under his breath as Birchheart announces they are going to go attack. Hesitant to move, the tomcat continues to sit before he looks up to the cats already leaving and ahead. Quickly, he catches up. His eyes flick over to Sootheart before he sighs under his breath. Mintwhisper trailed behind the others to make sure no one lagged behind, she raised a brow as Ratpelt set to distance himself from the patrol slightly. As they neared the border the red she-cat went on alert, Terrastar said that the Aetherclan patrols would be out and while that meant their camp was temporarily unguarded. But there was a possibility that the Terraclan cats could be caught by the patrol. She ignored the murmured conversation, her keen green gaze on her surroundings. Anticipation bubbled up in her chest though she did her best to stay calm and collected on the outside. If one cat panicked the others might too and it’d throw them off. As they neared their destination Mintwhisper lengthened her strides to go up next to Birchheart. “How much farther do you think the camp is?” She asked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sootheart - 16 moons - Warrior - Healthy - Following Birchheart - Mentions: Risingstorm, Birchheart, Ratpelt, Mintwhisper, open Sootheart shakes her head at Risingstorm. "You won't let us down as long as you give it your all." Jealousy claws at her when Birchheart seems to cheer the tom up more than she could. The grey warrior pushes the feelings down in confusion. It shouldn't matter who reassures who as long as everyone is prepared. Besides, listening to the deputy eases some of her own worries. Sootheart raises her head as high as possible and follows closely behind Birchheart through the territories. She notices Ratpelt avoiding her, but doesn't do anything about it. If she starts actually listening to the tom, her loyalty might be shaken and she can't let that happen. Terrastar's word is law. If she starts questioning her leader, what should she believe in? Tucking her emotions back into it's place deep within her, Sootheart's expression hardens and she goes on alert for any sign of the Aetherclan cats. Her claws dig up the earth with each step. Risingstorm took notice of Ratpelt's smug behavior, momentarily questioning to himself if the tom was going to stay for the battle. Of course not...what am I thinking? He's just sulking, Ratpelt's no traitor. He lashed his tail once, scolding himself although it unintentionally may not have appeared as such. His ears swiveled toward Mintwhisper after she made her inquiry. Honestly, he wondered the same thing. He had never been this far before, and his paws flexed with impatience. His eyes may not have been dulled over anymore, yet his insecurity threatened to display itself further. The moments before a battle was no time to falter, especially in front of the clanmates he was presently closest to. "I couldn't say, Mintwhisper," he mewed quietly, trying to gain his composure. "Do you know, Birchheart?" His eyes settled on Sootheart, her fiery gaze reaching out to him. What it was saying, he couldn't quite say. He briefly purred with relief, pleased that the she-cat was so confident in him although she didn't know him well yet. "Thank you, Sootheart, you're too kind. Stonekit-4moons-kit-healthy-tempcamp-mentions Stonekit had just giving up looking for Cherrykit, the game's no fun if you don't get found, and he turned to go grab a small bite to eat. He padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a small mouse and started back towards the nursery. He was about halfway back to the nursery, when the attack yowl sounded across the camp. Stonekit dropped his mouse and looked up, startled. He, having never been known to freeze in fear, turned to charge at the attackers. Just as he launched himself towards the invaders, teeth clamped on his scruff and halted him in his tracks. Sweetheart had grabbed him and was swiftly taking him to the Nursery.
