 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

(Is this still open? If so I’m role playing for Amber if that is alright!) An older king unsteadily padded towards Ingonyama. As he came to a stop he kept his stance bold and stoic but the uncertainty that flashed in his eyes showed he had not spoken to another king for quite some time. He dipped his head in a respectful greeting towards the other as he cautiously sat down opposite of them. Though he was not the oldest lion it was clear to see that he was in some state of fatigue, giving his eyes and ribs a sunken look. His voice had a low gravely sound to it as he spoke hesitantly. “Hello.. my name is daffodil. One of my lionesses had lost one of her cubs while they were training in a hunting party..” his eyes darted away quickly as his tail Flicked over his paws so that they were some-what hidden. “She hasn’t been the same since.. We were passing by and I couldn’t help but notice that one of the cubs you have closely resembles the one she lost..” he spoke quietly, his voice shaking slightly as his face contorted into a look of either mourning or regret but deciding which one it was would be impossible considering their similarities. As soon as that moment of weakness came, it was just as quick to vanish as he returned to his stoic expression, awaiting the other kings reply as he glanced past him and towards the cub. (Sorry for any improper grammar and/or mistakes! I haven’t written/typed anything like this in a long time.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

King Kaennal walked up, shaking his fluffy mane and licking his primal fangs, this was not the first time he had adopted and since he was in the area, he decided to walk on by. "Hello Ingonyama" He said kindly sitting politely, dipping his head slightly to show respect to the king in his own territory. "I wandered past your lion shelter and might I say, you've found some absolute beauties, its hard to imagine these cubs and teens weren't accepted into their pride, anyway, one of my right hand subs has unfortunately passed on, a recent illness has come through my pride but luckily its gone now. I was hoping to adopt Astro, but seeing the beauties you have I was also wondering about adopting Magic, Onyx and Zephyr" he finished. "You see, Astro and Magic are truly who I want, but I understand if I can't take all these adorable little cubs, sunset feralis is one of my favorite markings" he added, he bowed his head in respect again. 0 players like this post! Mane Burst decided that one cub isn't enough to keep. He felt rather bad for any cub who could never get a chance in getting a good pride. This gave him an idea. Maybe he should adopt another cub. So he he traveled to the shelter to see who could he help. He gazed at Dusk. How beautiful the cub looked to him. "Excuse me,could I have Dusk please?"He asked politely. 0 players like this post!
