 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

RP for Annie, August, Cupcake, Storm, Zebra and Aries Adam and Vladimir decided to adopt new members for pride, so Adam and Vladimir went to the lands of an old friend King Ingonyama, he always has puppies needing to be adopted, after a long walk, they arrive in the lands of Ingonyama, Adam and Vladimir calmly As they approach Ingonyama, Adam stands next to King Ingonyama while Vladimir watches a few cubs. (RPing for Cupcake!) Bloom hesitantly took a step forward, eyes darting back to the lioness that had led him here. Misty smiled at him, urging him towards the cubs as she made her way to Ingonyama and some of his broodmothers. Misty greeted the other lions as she started a conversation with them, explaining what she was doing here. ~~ Bloom thought back to the conversation the lioness he thought of as a mother had with him before they arrived. "Go, we're here to find you a cub to call your sister. You're growing up now, we trust you can make your own choices." He sighed, not knowing what to do. As he was lost in thought, something small crashed into his legs and he stumbled, falling face first into the dirt. Dust up his nose left him sneezing, but he looked at the cub that had bowled him over. (RP for August and Storm) A graceful lioness stepped into the foreign territory. She saw a sleek dark lioness pad towards her, swishing her tail gently. The dark coloured lioness nodded at her politely. 'What brings you to our lands, I am Mnyama and how can I help you?' She inquires, tilting her head. 'I am Epona, and I am here because I was told that your pride has some little ones for adoption, and I would like to adopt two. 'Is that so?' 'Indeed, my pride was led by another lion before me, and after he passed, there was a rebellion because some lions felt they were more fit to be Queen...' '...so you killed them?' 'I didn't, I sent them to the Nature Reserve' The dark coloured lioness nodded and motioned with her tail for Epona to follow her. Epona was lead to a pretty glade where the cubs are joyfully chasing each other and practicing their hunting crouch. Epona stares at the lively cubs, especially two in particular who caught her eye. One was a striped black and white cub, whose appearance resembled a zebra, Epona's lip twitches in amusement as she sees the cub chattering at another cub at top speed, with the other reddish cub who was slowly moving the toys they were playing with to her side, grinning all the while. 0 players like this post! @Strawberry-Otter: Shelela, one of the broodmothers, looked up to see the albino adolescent laying on the ground, and the young cub half his size laughing hysterically. She hurried over to apologize, shooting a stern look at the cub in the process. “Thank Apedemak you’re taking her,” she said, laughing a little. “She’s quite a handful.” @Unorie: “The red cub is August, and the striped one is called Storm,” said Mnyama, gesturing at the two cubs with her tail. “They’ve become very close friends over the last few days. Epona approaches the cubs smoothly, she starts telling them about her pride and they both listen intently. Then she asks, 'Would you two younglings like to join my pride? A new queen pads up to the territory. She greets one of the broodmothers, Khatiba. "Greetings, I am Pharetra. My grandpaw has been here, Queen Zaromi, and she has informed me it's a good place to adopt from. Excuse me while I take a look around." The mottled rosette queen nodded respectfully. She saw some stripes that caught her eye. A string necklace was dangling from the adolescent's neck. It read, "Zebra." She approached the juvenile carefully. The large male approached Isiphepho. Though good times had once more returned to his pride and he was prospering, he still carried the gauntness of face and sunken eyes. A closer look, however, would reveal the grey hairs around his muzzle and eyes, tracing his thinness to age. But muscles still danced and twisted beneath his coat, and he was still a king. He paused before her and smile crossed his face. "I would like to adopt Dusk and Patches." He let a weary grin once more appear as he explained his reason. Kalama silently walks over to Shelela the beautiful golden lioness watching over the cubs with a smile and glint in her eye. "Hello, I have heard that you have cubs for adoption. I was hoping I could take the little one playing with your tail" gesturing to the cub named Fang. " and the elder one with the beautiful face." Nodding to Hyena.
