 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

A large, muscular primal male slunk into the cave. His stance was proud, pace quick and assured, letting nearly everyone know he was a king. Accompanying him was a wary, nervous lioness, her tail twitching uneasily. "Hello," His voice was deep, yet smooth like honey, and directed to a pale gold lioness resting with dignity. "Your cubs are strong and possess potential, so and so I'd like to have that certain one." His eyes fixated on Aubrey with a flick of his tail in her direction. The lioness with him seemed to take interest in the cub too, as she excitedly leaned over to whisper to the primal king. Her voice was soft and solemn, and her previously awkward facade seemed to vanish. "Oh, she truly is a beauty," The lioness purred, whiskers twitching in anticipation. 0 players like this post! (oof sorry for being late) The king's eyes mellowed as he cast his pure white eyes on the cub in front of him. A deep purr of thanks erupted from his throat, dipping his head in thanks to Shelela. "I'll be going now," He stated, letting Dahyun, the lioness with him, swoop down and pick up the cub with ease. The same king that had appeared a few days ago came padding back. The soft trot of his massive paws sent the small critters scurrying away from his path. Leaves were entangled in his Nautilus fur as he entered the same den once again. The lioness before was not with him. "Hello once again," The king greeted, eyes flitting over to Isiphepho, the one with cheetah-like markings. "I'd like to take another cub, specifically, the one named Cheetah." His ears twitched at that, fluff portruding from the rim. A tiny smile also graced his facial features. "Maybe next time, I'd have a few cubs to bring and donate here. Queen Bean trotted into the place, looking around to see the cubs. Her eyes lit up when she laid eyes on Dusk, interest sparking in them. "Hello, I have travelled from a far land to see if the word was true. Is this one up for adoption? She is very beautiful, her coat reminds me of the dusk sky." The huge, unusual, powerful king prowls with soft footsteps into the territory, trailed by his favored lioness;the white markings around her eyes and face make her look as though she's wearing a cracked mask. Deep red and black, with a mane the color of the sunset, the huge beast lets his too green eyes scan the cubs until they land on one as vividly, alarmingly colored as he is. Demon, he hears someone call her. He chuckles softly. "Hello there, little one." He rumbles, in a voice surprisingly soft for a beast of his size. "Peas in a pod, are we not?" He lifts his gaze to find her caretaker. "I've heard there are cubs in need of homes here- this little one would find a fine one in us. (Sorry for taking so long to respond!) @Loey: Isiphepho smiled at the familiar king. “It’s good to see you again,” she purred. She flicked her tail towards Cheetah, signaling for her to come over. The cub dashed over to the two lions excitedly, skidding to a halt in front of them. Isiphepho laughed. “She certainly lives up to her name, always sprinting around the den. You can certainly take her. We’ve been busier than usual since one of the broodmothers passed away, and we can hardly handle her energy.” Another broodmother walked over. “I overheard your conversation,” she began. “While Isiphepho is correct that we are quite busy, we are always happy to take on more cubs, if you ever wish to bring some to us.” @ Pasito: Khatiba, the eldest of the broodmothers, stepped forward. “Yes, she is in need of a good home,” she said. She paused for a moment, studying the queen. “Your pride will be a good fit for her,” the broodmother said decisively, nudging Dusk towards the queen. @C|haron: Shelela glanced from the king to the cub, then back up to the king again. “The two of you really do look quite similar,” she said. “Perhaps it is a sign from the gods. "Perfect," Suho's eyes twinkled. "I have a few unwanted cubs with potential, however I do not think they suit my pride nor my taste. I think that others might like them, since they have fair statistics. I'd love to bring them when they are weaned." He paused for a moment before leaning down to nuzzle the newly-adopted cub. Later on that day, a slender, tall lioness with fur as black as obsidian and hints of a pale orange appeared. She approached the den gracefully, nose twitching as she inhaled the scent of cubs- a scent similar to fresh, creamy milk. "Hello?" She peered into the den, her voice like honey, and immediately spotted a fiery-black lioness who was currently regarding her with suspicion. "My name is Victoria. Im here in the request of my king, Suho, who's a customer. He told me to bring this cub to you for adoption-" A small figure of black and pale sunshine-yellow fur came into view, along with a pair of eager eyes. (Okay, so I told someone about this thread and they literally gave me 10+ cubs to give you, if its okay could I? I can help with the fees, got lots of food and amusement items to spare.) Victoria seemed to be stressed and tired, as if she had spent a whole night without sleep. "T-thank you," She murmured sleepily. "Actually, I have a lot of cubs to give, some are adoloscents... My king put me in charge of them, and Im quite tired. Would a few more be okay?" She closed her eyes, then opened them again, struggling to stay awake. "I brought two more, Havana and Brindle are their names. The others... They'll be brought later by my pridemembers." On cue, a Savannah-colored female cub poked her fluffy ears out, twitching. "Crem!" She whined, then, catching sight of her friend, rushed over to the broodmother and the cub. Another one, this time a slightly more timid cub, appeared. (8 more cubs to go! oof) Just as Victoria had left to pass out due to exhaustion, another lioness arrived. Her fur was red and black, eyes a pale blue and her fur contained tints of a shiny white. She strolled in, tail flicking side by side, and flashed a charming smile at Khatiba. Following her were two adoloscents and a quiet, solemn cub. "Hello, I am Yuqi. Im here to deliver a few more cubs that Victoria, my pridemate, had missed." She explained, sensing the confusion in the air around her. With a twitch of her tail, a male adoloscent padded forward. His coat was a gorgeous red. Following him were the two females, an adoloscent and a cub. They exchanged fearful glances. "These are Mao, Mally and Duchess." Yuqi said cheerfully, and in went another lioness, this time a beautiful Mane Silky. Her name was Soyeon. Soyeon blinked slowly, nervously. "I'm Soyeon," The lioness introduced herself with a dip of her head, before beckoning five more cubs to step forward. "These are Rune, Enchant, Movay, Sparrow and Villa."
