 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Scipio walked into the Nyumbani shelter he had recommended to from the former king of his pride. He scanned the room, taking a few seconds to look at the cubs they had. Out of all the cubs, two had caught his eye the most. He simply nodded at them and walked over to a lioness that looked over the shelter. "Hello," He began, giving a small bow. "I am Scipio. I am the king of Ghostscar's pride, if you do remember him. I have come to adopt two cubs if I can." He gave a grin as he pointed to the two he wanted to adopt. Mandaña hears noise coming from a nearby cave. Curious, he makes his way closer and finds it full of cubs and young lions. He gazes upon the young lions and 3 lionesses catch his gaze. He approaches the brood mother's and asks them for their names. "Dove, Rose, and Darling," they respond. He nods his head and walks over to where they're resting. They look up at him, meeting his gaze with question. "Allow me to introduce myself," Mandaña states, "I am Mandaña and I would like it if you joined my pride." Pale and haze Keres wonders into Nyumbani. Though Sideous is king, Keres has the first and last say of how her pride runs. Cub-bearing was never of interest to her; she has much more to do than lay around in a nest all day. There must be something in this summers air though, as she has felt the longing of a cub at her side. Glancing around at the cubs that scampered around, her eyes were drawn to two cubs in the far depths of the cave. Padding up to them, she was met with wide, curious eyes. The grey cub crouches low, tail swishing, while the darker cub remains still yet unafraid. Keres was not good with cubs. One of the many reasons she refrained from having them herself. She was, to put it simply, terrifying to cubs. But something about these two cubs called to her. They did not shy away from her intense gaze and posture. “Come” she says to the cubs. You will train as my apprentices. She wonders around the rest of the pride in search for Bluefox to give the release of the cubs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Valentino padded into the cave and looked around, warmly smiling at the sight of small cubs and big cubs alike playing. He walked up to 2 cubs. “Hello. I am Valentino. Requesting Renee and Silver Keres pads into the shelter again. The cubs she adopted previously were training well beyond her expectations. It was clear to her that this shelter housed untapped potential, something she knew much about as she was found in the outlands by Sideous.
