Vale trod into the familiar shelter that she'd visited countless times, and like always, sat to watch the cubs play, but before she could, a certain adolescent caught her eye. It wasn't like the other cubs in the shelter. No, not at all, half of their body was covered in black fur. It was as if someone dipped half their body into black ink, leaving the rest untouched.

Catching the name of the adolescent while he wrestled with another. Vale padded over to Vikela, a broodmother of the Nyumbani Shelter, "Hello! If the adolescent, Saturn, has not been requested, I'd love to adopt them into my pride!"

*A yellow lioness strode across the area where the cubs where playing, having heard of the minor setbacks one of her lionesses had trying to adopt cubs, she was determined to bring one home this time.
As soon as she sat down she noticed a cub laughing and screaming as other cubs chased her around. As she smiled at the cub her eyes caught her tail. Her ears immediately perked and she jumped to her feet. Channeling her inner cub, she playfully ran in front of the cub, Neptune stood on her hind legs to play with the lioness, and a cub next to her looked at Psyduck and said that if Neptune was being adopted, if she could go too.
Psyduck one paw on each of the cubs heads and nodded at Saber. She looked around, then found a broodmother. She picked the cubs up and put them on her back, to run up to a broodmother with them screaming and laughing again on her back. Huffing and panting, she asked if the cubs Neptune and Saber were up for adoption.*

Prince Charmless, having heard tell of cubs in dire need of homes, decided to take up this generous offer and left a few of his esteemed lionesses and sub male in charge while he was away.

After a reasonably long journey, he finally arrived at the place known as Shelter Nyumbani. It was nighttime so he tread carefully from thenceforth, fully aware that he may seem like a trespasser if he kept up his quick pace. As he explored this new area, he spotted a young adolescent lioness resting on top of a boulder. Just resting. It was rather late, so Charmless wondered what a young soul such as herself could be doing still up.

"Having trouble sleeping, little one?" Charmless asked in a friendly tone. The small adolescent jumped to her paws with a start and glanced at Charmless, who was about as tall as the large stone and eye level with her. Upon seeing his kindly expression, she eased up a little.

"E-erm, I just find the night sky comforting is all, why do you ask, sir?" The young lioness responded.

"No need for such formalities. I was thinking that your expression looked rather somber is all. What is your name?" Charmless inquired.

"Moon. And well, you're right. I've felt really lonely ever since I arrived here. Even though everyone's super nice, I won't be able to call this a permanent home as there are lots of other mouths to feed. I'm most at ease alone at nighttime, staring up at the sky like this, usually." Moon sighed, then seemingly corrected herself. "N-not that you're unwelcome company though!"

Charmless laughed a little and reassuringly said, "I'm glad you think so, young one. By chance, I seem to have come here looking to adopt! How would you like to join my pride? We've got a vast stretch of lands for you to explore, plenty of food for all our cubs and best of all, you can even stargaze from the cliffs every night if you'd like. There are others, such as Celestia who would even very much appreciate your fascination with the heavens. What do you say?"

With every single word, Moon's excitement grew and by the end of Charmless' explanation and at hearing his invitation, all of that excitement culminated into an immediate answer.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Moon squealed in delight, channeling her inner cub. Even if she'd become a "mature" adolescent a few moons ago, this was reason to rejoice.

Charmless smiled kindly, "I shall take it up with the heads of Shelter Nyumbani then, Moon. Be back soon!"

(Can I give Moon a home? :3 I have space for her ready!)

The powerful queen arrived again, albeit seeming a little different with her new patched coat. She swept her gaze around the shelter of Nyumbani, searching for a broodmother that she recognized. She spied Vikela, resting near some of the younger cubs watching over them. She approached her quickly before addressing her.

“Hello, Vikela. I’m here to adopt more beautiful cubs and adolescents, if theh are available of course”

She swept her gaze around the den before resting them on a group who was somewhat secluded.

“I would like to take in Whisp, Venus, Pluto, Orion, Aphrodite, and Andromeda. If possible of course, I have some new prides I am helping and may see if they would be willing to take some of these little ones in. The rest will stay with my pride and my sister pride.”

Vikela glanced at the six cubs, who had gathered around the queen at the sound of their names. “Certainly,” she said. “They’re strong cubs. They’ll do well in your pride.”
