 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Wind Of Coming Storm marched in the cave to pick some cubs out for his king, Adan. He thought that new cubs would help his soon-to-be pride, and Adan had sent him to get some for him. He walked around watching the cubs play amongst themselves until he spotted Renee, Ava, Diamond, and Nehemia. He blushed as he spotted Renee but then noticed that three of them were full lionesses and hoped they were aboptable and not awkward to walk home with them. He walked to the king he saw, dipped his head in respect, and said, "Hello, I am Wind Of Coming Storm and I am here for some cubs. Adan sent me because he had to stay and protect the pride from a possible invasion at home. I am wondering if Renee, Ava, Diamond, and Nehemia are adoptable?" Grimm approached the newcomer a bit awkwardly. "Hello... I'm sorry to tell you this, but Astrid is one of the broodmothers of this den... She has already decided to stay to help rehome the cubs given to us...." Astrid heaved herself off the ground, her old joints creaking with the effort "I do apologise for the confusion.. But I am too old to be going anywhere and I would just be a burden on your pride.. perhaps if you were to come back when there are some cubs available for adoption, you might find a cub that's perfect for your pride?" 0 players like this post! Vale sat in the clearing, watching the cubs play. The cub she was originally going to adopt was unfortunately taken, since she had already traveled all this way to the Nyumbani shelter, Vale decided to stay a while. A thump was heard at Vale's paws, a small maroon colored furball had tumbled into her paws. Vale immediately looked at the small cub in awe, helping it to it's paws before the cub ran off to wrestle with the other cubs. Looking around, Vale jumped to her paws and approached Vikela, the broodmother of the Nyumbani shelter. "Hello! I stumbled upon one of your cubs, Sugar. The lioness sat where she was and looked at Sugar with a sad smile as she walked away with someone else. She then started her way home, but was stopped when she saw the other dens. She walked into the Mtoaji den and saw Dreamer. The adolescent stopped her play and stood there probably wondering why the lionesses was looking at her. She then walked over to the adolescent and asked hesitantly if it was alright if she adopted her. Soon after she was startled by a small male adolescent who had pulled her tail. She turned around to see Mercury standing proudly behind her. She went behind them and nudged him towards Dreamer to ask them both if they wanted to be part of her pride. And, of course she answered all their fun questions like "Is the King cool?" and "Are you good at hunting Hippos?" (@Olive I tried again but it appears that you still don’t have enough space! @Seraphina I assume you mean Lambert from the Mtoaji shelter? He has already been requested by someone else, and I am still unsure as to when or if the shelter owner will return, sorry. @Hailey the owner of that shelter has been inactive for a while.
