 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

GhostScar had many thoughts about adopting another cub, he quickly snapped out of his mind as he arrived to the Nyumbani shelter. ‘You’ve been here plenty of times! No need to worry,’ He thought mindfully. He finally walked in the shelter and started to think about the cubs he could adopt. He stopped and stared down at certain cubs, Snow and Russet was it? “Hmm.” He looked around and then made his final decision. He walked over to a Broodmother and waved thoughtfully, “Hello. I’m very sure you know me, since I keep coming here a lot— sorry about that! Anyways, I just wanted to know if I could adopt, Snow and Russet? Mikune walked up to the Nyumbani shelter with the intention of claiming cubs not only for himself but for two other prides. As a peace treaty the kings would exchange or give the other cubs. Due to the lack of any actual beautiful cubs being born in his pride the king had decided to go to the Nyumbani shelter, suggested to him by one of the kings. Glancing around he spotted a couple of beautiful cubs. Letting out a purr he approached each of them and had a small conversation with each to get a better feel of who he wanted to take home and whom he would take to send off to their actual permanent homes. After making his decisions he glanced around before approaching one of the broodmothers, Khatiba. Dipping his head in greeting he waved his tail towards the cubs he was talking to. "Hello I am Mikune. I have decided I would like to take Arthur, Arrow, Dark Sun, Honeybee, Mirage, Moon, Peony, Piranha, and Stardust. They all wont be permanently staying with me but a few of them will be. The others will be sent to some prides that I know will treat them nicely and care for them till their final days. The heir to the pride, Galileo, made his way to the adoption caves. His current king had told him about said place and told him to go. Taking the lead he brought a pregnant primal who, when he became king, would be his advisor. She looked around the territory as they entered the cave. She deciding to be the one to talk spoke. As Tiberius trotted through the plains, he caught a quick glance at what seemed to be a cheetah by the Nyumbani adoption. He quickly ran to go warn them and when he caught up to Vikela, all she had done was laugh. She quickly called over the “cheetah” and it turned out to be a beautiful lioness. A regal looking lioness approached the Nyumbani shelter with two others by her side. Together they all go through the shelter searching for cubs who would be welcome to join their pride. After a few minutes they all meet up with cubs in tow and together they all approach Khatiba. "Hello, my name is Altarune and I am the queen of my pride, we are here searching for cubs who would be fit to join us." she spoke with kindness as she continued on. "Vega and Deneb, two of my pride members that are here with me have found some cubs that would fit in quite well. If they are still available we'd like to adopt Dream, Smoke, and Sunrise."
