Lilyriver watched, not a shred of sympathy in her eyes. “Why won’t you tell us anything? You don’t give a damn about the lions that followed you even though you were a shitty leader?” (Sorry If teh language isn’t allowed, I’ll edit it out if not but I thought it was good for the moment.) Lilyriver padded over to Starfeather and plopped down beside him, still having her eyes on Lilyriver. She curled his tail around his subconsciously.

Skysoul leaped to stand beside her mentor. “Jackalstar...Please. Please don’t kill him.” She whispered under her breath.

Starfeather felt his heart skip a beat as he felt Lilyriver near him. Shooting her a warm, nervous smile, he mumbled, "I hope that Jackalstar doesn't hurt anybody. I understand that she's upset, and Midnight does deserve to go choke on a bone or something, but fighting with each other would only cause more issues while this whole... DarkPride and LightPride thing nears." Gently, he twined his tail with her's, sighing.
Jackalstar seemed to calm down at Skysoul's plea, though her body was still tense with a controlled need to claw out Midnight's eyes. "Fine," she spat. "Let's make a deal, Midnight. I don't hurt you, and you stop being all mysterious and trying to be the awesome prophet here. Honestly, this is kind of pathetic."
Oasis sighd. "Thank you," she murmured to Jackalstar. Resting her tail on Skysoul's shoulder, she squeaked, "I've never seen Jackalstar get this riled up! Who's snout should I bind closed with cobwebs?"

Skysoul bumped her snoot on Oasis’s shoulder. “What a waste of herbs!”

Lilyriver sighed quietly. She was obnoxiously aware of Starfeather’s every movement, and she loathed it at the same time it made her stomach lurch with nerves. She stared Midnight down. “Tell us what’s happening and we won’t kill you.”

Lilyriver snarled and turned, boldly disappearing into the DarkPride cave.

Skysoul stared at Lilyriver, waiting for Jackalstar’s command. Going in there was the last thing she wanted to do, but she said nothing.

Jackalstar bristled up, her blue eyes widened as she stared at Demonscreech. "Well," she murmured warily, staring at Lilyriver. "You realize we're trying to not fight with each other... Whoever you are. Sorry, not the best at names." However, the strange expression on her face said otherwise— she remembered some things easily, even if she had trouble remembering names. "RunPride is not supposed to be the enemy, or at least, not Lilyriver and Starfeather." She gestured to the one with his paws adhered to the ground, and the other who vanished in DarkPride's cave.
"Jackalstar, are you okay?" Oasis murmured.
The leader paused a bit, before padding to the entrance of the cave that Lilyriver left in. "Oasis, Skysoul, I'll leave a scent trail through the cave," she ordered in an attempt to evade the question. "If you hear me scream out 'SwimPride', you'll know to go through the scent trail. Feel free to follow me, but... You guys are valuable to the clan." She looked away. "I've... Done some things in my past. I want to try and redeem myself, and if I view this as a way to free this guilt I carry, so be it." With no more words left to say, Jackalstar padded into the cave.

Starfeather jolted at Demonscreech's words, not realizing that another lion was there. Springing up, he stared at the lion for a good few heartbeats. "We'd be saving our fighting energy for this DarkPride and LightPride thing," he snapped back grimly. "We're trying to not pick a fight for once. You heard what Jackalstar said!"
He stared at where Lilyriver vanished, allowing his face to wear an expression of visible anguish. Should he follow, or should he stay behind? Should he go help her, or be the lion to protect the entrance for her?
What did he value more, his life or her's?
He shook his head vigorously. His hunting skills can be passed on. Lilyriver was a queen in their pride! Midnight couldn't be trusted, and there were no other RunPride lions to assist in the plan. With squared shoulders and a held up head, Starfeather padded into DarkPride's cave and didn't look back.

Skysoul’s mouth fell open. “But...you’re the leader! Our skills can always be passed down...” She grew quiet, thinking. She didn’t have the fighting skills that were probably needed for an adventure like this? She looked to Jackalstar and dipped her head. “Alright, fine. Just...don’t die, alright? Please.”

Lilyriver heard footsteps and turned to Starfeather. “Oh good, I was worried I was going to die alone in this darkness.” She turned and trotted up to the hole Demonscreech had vanished in. “Maybe we should follow him.” The queen waited for Starfeather’s input,

Time to revive rp

Oasis rested the tip of her tail on Skysoul's shoulder. "She won't die. If anything, her long legs would give her faster speed to run away, or make it quicker for her to dive in to an enemy, scratch them, or bite out." However, the healer seemed tired— so much effort trying to watch an old friend like she was her own cub! Jackalstar may have been the most devoted leader Oasis had seen, but it didn't make her any less annoying when she tried to be the hero.
"By all the stars, I'm hungry," she blurted, laughing lightheartedly. She blinked her emerald green eyes at the cave, unnerved by the amount of lions that went down, along with the amount of lions that might come back up. Starfeather and Lilyriver did cause some suspicion to bubble up in Oasis, but she found that they were relatively well-mannered for two lions that had to go to a rival pride for help. They also had a horrible leader, she thought to herself. That Midnight fellow didn't look like someone they should trust.

Jackalstar wrinkled her nose at the smell of RunPride in front of her, but decided not to do anything about it. She was sandwiched in between two RunPride lions, both of which seemed even more dangerous in their own territory. Despite being in the cave, the lack of water meant that they were at an advantage with fighting on dry land. And, they must've been here before!
Lightly, Jackalstar pressed her tail against the stone walls. It was so dark, and so cramped to the leader...
"Lilyriver?" She murmured warily, respectfully. "I have a question, and hopefully they could try to clear up something. Have you ever smelled rogue lions on your territory, or prey that vanished even though they should be in eyesight? I don't know how DarkPride could live in such a cramp, lifeless hole. Surely, they must have some source of food nearby if they're willing to inhabit this place." Jackalstar felt a shiver ripple through her body. Those questions didn't improve HER mood at all, and she wasn't even on SwimPride territory anymore!
"Nevermind," she whispered after a few moments. "Hopefully, there shouldn't be another reason why we need to fight a pride we don't even know of."

"I wouldn't let you die alone," Starfeather replied loyally. "RunPride sticks together." A dry snort escaped him. "Well, except for our leader. No biggie, we have you to lead us." He gestured to Lilyriver with a smile, not correcting himself when he said "we". The least he needed was the both of them to panic; two lions barely counted as a group, let alone a pride.
Glancing at Jackalstar, he replied, "I hunt as much as possible. Every now and then, I think I see some prey disappear, but I usually shrug it off. Prey shouldn't stay still forever. That is, unless they're dead."

The ground starts to shake wildly, as if there was infinite lions running across at the same time.




New in the roleplay: Dark pride and Light pride will be battling, you can either join one or another or run away and seek shelter. When you die, you will join one of those clans as a undead.

Lilyriver nearly froze at Starfeather’s comment. Did she want to be the leader? She had always been secondary before, but now she realized the whole pride-despite it’s smallness- was in her paws now. Unless a new leader came into play. She shook her head. If it fell upon her, she would gladly put herself on the line to restore RunPride. She bumped Starfeather in gratitude and turned to Jackalstar. “Once in awhile the herds disappear into this forest, most likely for shelter, food, and water. I’ve never seen something blatantly disappear, however.” The queen turned back to the hole and leaped in, vanishing down inside it.

Skysoul chuckled at her mentor and parted her jaw to scent the air. The lioness untied her pack of herbs to lose the weight while hunting. Hunting was good, she realized, to let off the stress. Crouching down and tucking her tail between her legs, the healer stalked forward gracefully and sprang into a bush. She came out with her leaves in her fur and a rabbit in her jaws, which will definitely feed two full grown hungry lions.
