Both lioness nodded in agreement towards Samira. Sun high hunting patrol would work for them. It would give them a chance to wake up.
"Sounds like a plan, Samira." Labyrinth confirmed. Nymph flicked her tail a short lived purr erupted from her only to silence.
Labyrinth sliced her gaze towards Pavak as the king and the other males vanished. She flicked an ear in quick surprise. SHE was in charge? What was that supposed to mean. She wasn't trained for this. The lioness stood to four paws shifting slightly to look over the pride. Was she supposed to say something, do something?
Nymph had jumped up at Imp's joyful arrival. Her pelt had only been half groomed but she looked better than she had when she had woke. "Good morning Imp." Her voice had turned to a light happy ring. "Sleep well?"

Pavak turned around to see what had caused bear to stop. His gaze shifted from bear to lioness, from the lioness to Apollo , then back to bear. “We will start at the leopard tree.” He spoke, paws tingling for some action. But before he turned again he casted a reassuring glance at the lioness. Although patrolling was traditionally a males duty, he didn’t mind the lionesses presence. In fact, the more the merrier they say!

bear quietly considered whether they were patrolling or hunting, or maybe a little bit of both. it seemed like a lax day - the fresh kill pile was plentiful and no enemies had been hinted recently. the coffee-colored giant was not particularly skilled in catching meals; he was a warrior, a scout, not a hunter. but what could be so different about it? whatever it was, he followed pavak without complaint.

the fur at the nape of his neck bristled at the mention of their nearing the leopard territory, instinctively putting his guard up. his eyes scanned the horizon, keeping a watchful gaze on their surroundings so as not to be taken by surprise.

Samira chuckled silently at the fellow lioness’s surprise. She padded toward a large bolder and with a short running start, jumped. Once atop the bolder She felt a hind leg Slip slightly but managed to correct herself before falling. She watched the males head off, their manes swaying in the soft breeze. She refocused her attention on a flying magpie before her thoughts could fester. She flopped into a laying position letting the cool stone press against her belly. Her skin prickled at the sudden sensation as she watched lazily.

“Ah,” Pavak sighed as the leopard tree came into view, “here we are. Well, feel free to sniff around. Let me know if you find any traces of the leopard.” As he spoke he turned and went straight for the tree, rubbing on it and stretching his claws. Letting the oils from his paws mark the tree with his sent, and the sent of his pride from his fur and mane did the same. Smelling something rotten he gazed up to see an old leopards meal hanging in the tree. He lifted a lip in disgust and jumped to try to pull it down, wanting to bury the deceased animal.

Samira’s eat twitched as the sound of another waking pride member yawned. “Morning xanthe,” the dark lioness greeted, looking over from her shoulder at him yet refusing to give up her comfy spot.
