Basically the idea is that a lioness that is pregnant can at random give birth early. Giving birth early can result in a cub being smaller then it normally would be, leaving it more valuable. But the cub would be able to survive to adulthood. In adulthood the now grown lion would be smaller then the normal lions.

The lioness giving birth early would happen at random at a rollover.

Edit: by smaller then normal, I don't mean like a dwarf lioness. I mean like..... Think about how the average height is around 5'8 but people tend to be petite, I hope that makes sense lol

I like the idea, but I don't think it would work!
If they had a litter early, I would see it making more sense to be a Miscarriage, but then it would kind of invalidate the Cotton Root Bark, as it aborts the litter then has a higher chance for mutation.

Having a early litter with the possibility of cubs being born small is neat! But then you'd have to factor in the % chance of how often it would happen and how often the % of it being born small would occur?

This idea would possibly be a good idea if per say, someone used a CRB first, and its a mutation that's added in the mutation pool that they could reach, but otherwise is inaccessible outside of using a CRB.

So GMO Cow, Lion Meat wouldn't have odds for this mutation, as people using it probably want more of a lethal mutation.

Thinking about it though, I like the idea of the Mutation but not premature birth. Primarily because if someone forgets to nest their lioness or cannot nest until the last day, its a risk they're taking to get it. This would turn it to more of a "runt of a litter."

But if you kept it to premature birth, it'd say it would have to happen on the second or third day of gestation, never on the first, as i feel the cubs would've been aborted by them.

I think this would be great! Like pre-born, but perhaps have a low possibility of dying? As that can happen irl

Maybe instead of death chances they get stat penalties? To somewhat make it seem like a weak and small cub, but otherwise normal. I think it’ll be better since everyone is scared of loosing breeding items due to premature birth

It could be super neat if this applied a code to the lion to scale their image down by a certain percent- just a regular lion with no need for new lineart, but it's a bit smaller. I'm thinking of how admins flipped all lions onsite upside down with a single line of code (or something) for April Fools' one year, but if it could be used to shrink a lion and all their equipped decor.

Perhaps the lionesses with no items have that chance but lionesses without items being used will never be affected by this process

With the talk of stat penalties, now this is starting to feel like an idea that will specifically hurt statter king prides.

When I have my stat kings, I hunt my lionesses as many times as conceivable within a single day, and nest them on the last day. Two days of sitting my pregnant lionesses out and nesting them on the first day of pregnancy is a LOT of missed stats just to make sure they don't give premature birth. And then stat penalties on top of that if I don't? ):
