We went back to square one - we'd like to get your feedback on a new design that we've created, heavily inspired by the current layout - just spruced up a bit, and modernized to use more current web technology! Some Notes: * This is not the final iteration of the layout, it's a preview build - there may be minor issues that will be fixed, or things that we rearrange. Please don't worry about bug reporting or making suggestions for repositioning at this point - we're looking for feedback about how the layout as a whole feels to you! * This layout should be fully mobile responsive, including the lion images and their layers * We are about 99% of the way with color contrast accessibility, and the new accent colors (buttons, progress bars [hunger, energy, etc]) should be colorblind friendly. * Alerts can cause a problem due to very similar brightnesses so icons have been added to alerts to counteract any bad interactions with colorblindness. * Layout Preview Settings: At the bottom of the page there are two options for layout settings. * Text can be resized to your preference within a range. The current default text size (90%) is the most similar to Lioden's current text size. 100% will be the new default when this layout launches, but we will automatically set everyone who is a member at the time to 90% so it's less of a harsh adjustment right away. The plan is that when the layout is implemented, this will be a setting on your account that you can change at will. * The site's theme can be changed to the game's existing layout themes (Day/Default, Night and Desert) and there is a new Dark theme. We are still tweaking Dark theme, and it's important to note that Night and Desert are lower contrast themes and may cause accessibility issues. Preview a Lion Page View the Theme Elements Page Bonus: Landing Page (Xylax is unhappy about the age of the art we've used, it will be updated ;D) Please give any and all feedback within this topic! desktop only, but i'm honestly a fan of the changes so far; i think it's a pretty elegant midpoint between what we have now and what something more 'modernized'! i do agree it feels like there's a lot of empty space, and i think the sidebar elements could use some tweaking in terms of font, size and centering but overall i don't have any major complaints, i know it's still a work in progress and i think with some polish it'll look pretty nifty.  3 players like this post! I like how clean and nice it looks, and for the lion page I love the layout, the flow of how easy it is to go from one info box to the other, and now I can actually find the different sections without scrolling up and down. It seems like it always takes me a second to find the info section or the equipper because it all sort of looks the same and my eye often skips over it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I am usually the person to be frightened by change, but this layout looks really nice. And Im confused why people say its "too much of a scroll" - but, the page length is the same? On both old layout and new layout? The new layout preview has Update Lion box opened, by default the old layout has the box closed, so you'd need to open it to compare their actual length.  3 players like this post! I don't know, I just don't like it. It's cluttered and "loud", for lack of a better word? So many elements, so many colors, everything in a different order. It gives me a headache. I really dislike having the king's avatar covering the status bars on the right and having to click a separate button to see Decorations and I'm guessing a second button to get into the Equipper? Why move the Reveal Fertility and Add Marking Slots into their own box at the bottom? It made more sense imo to have them part of the Markings/Breeding sections. But from the sounds of it it's gonna happen any way so I guess I'd better get used to it... 7 players like this post! Like? |

i dont really like how cluttered the new layout looks it would be better if there was a toggle like on deviant art only example i can think of for us to pick between old or new layout so that those who like the new layout could have the new layout and the ones that dislike the new layout could have the old layout 3 players like this post! not fan of a lot of colours, at all. it is distracting, even on other themes :I I feel like there is too much info... even tho it is same? it just feels there is more and not sure why. but I kinda like more rounded feel of it - if it makes sense sure, issue is also that it is pretty different to getting used to it will be pain.... so that is also something I am... eh? I am not against changes but making these big changes doesn't sit well with me. I am don't think I am long on site, but I just feel I will have long and hard time adjusting. I already lately don't roll much so it will be. even more time spent trying to see where what is also yeahhh feels very zoomed in but I am odd one with having LD at 67% on laptop lol 2 players like this post! Really like how the lion page looks now! I peeked at it last night as I was going to bed and it definitely felt a bit overly long (on desktop, at least, I didn't check mobile since I rarely access the site that way), but I love the edits made so far, definitely looking a lot nicer. I like the tabs WD uses for wolf pages, but it looks like everything has been fit in pretty well for all being on a single page here. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm not a fan of how cartoony the side bar's exp bar and such others look but that's not a huge issue. Other than that + making the night name box (ex. appearance) is too dark it's jarring. Just feedback, no need for reply. I'm not enthused by the new lion page layout. I feel like I'm in an Excel document, not a lion's den. A suggestion is to have the initial page look like the Special Lionesses page with the play/feed/breed buttons. Then below her genetic info have another button to reveal the excel spread info for further interaction. I just don't need ALL that info every time I click on a lion. The majority of what interactions I do are feed/play/breed. I don't even need stats and currents, I just want appearance and markings. I LOVE being able to change the different themes, but I'd want to do that for the whole den, and not for each page, seems like a lot of work to change per page for someone like me. I do like the find a stud button but it's something I'd use every 15 days per lion maybe? The landing page...needs less space between the Lioden title and the actual graphics of lions and characters. I had to shrink my screen down to very small to get it to fill in to get the whole picture. Can ya fix the tail in the 'Lioden" to look more like a lion's tail and not anything else ya know? Theme elements - just like you can hide chat, I'd like to hide theme statistics, no use for it, Teemo's stat of hunger/energy/experience/etc needs to be larger, stand out a bit more. I love that the event info is underneath. I would like to see the sun/moon and weather icon twice its size. I love the color shades listed. Easy on the eyes! Good job! Hmmm, then how about making all boxes on a lion's page collapsable (like the Expand/Collapse button on markings box in new layout) AND then an account setting, Collapse boxes on lions' pages, On/Off When ON, it will display Expand button on boxes and they will start collapsed by default, and be able to be opened when needed When OFF, it will display the Collapse button on boxes, and be able to be collapsed if you need to close just one box on a page at the moment How does this sound? Many people suggest less scrolling, but its really not possible to just delete important info off lion pages - I feel collapsing, and option to choose collapsed by default, could be the only option really?Edit: picture  4 players like this post!
