Shifting SpiritsNot a Shifter yet? Join here before posting on this thread!A warm mist surrounds your body, masking the scents of the forest. You feel cold, despite the beaming morning sun. Suddenly, a crackle of leaves sounds behind you and you whirl around to see a...... a tribe of humans staring expectantly at you. "Welcome to the Forest of Shifting Spirits." The voice seems to be all around you as if the whole forest is speaking but yet it just comes from one of the humans before you. "You are one of us. Your spirit longs to be one of the Others. An animal lives deep inside of you and it urges to be set free." All you can do is stare in bewilderment as the humans in front of you start to change. A voice speaks in your mind, "We are one." This time however, the voice seems oddly familiar yet you've never heard it before. With a shudder you realise that this is what they were talking about. Your spirit is more that you ever imagined. (Original Rp idea by RainWatcher (#40211)  This is the Star Stones. Where the Shifters gather to share their newfound spells, talk or just hang out. The way to get here is by following the Lake Path to its end and you will come across the Star Stones. This is where all "Tribe" meetings are held.  The Lake Path where most Shifters often like to swim. This is the main route to the Star Stones and the Forest Village where the Shifters live. There are many different types of fish living in this lake and some Shifters even like to hunt in their animals forms in the lake.  These are the houses in which the Shifters live, commonly referred to as the "Forest Village." Each Shifter lives in their own house but more often Trainee Shifters will live with their Teachers. All the houses are connected by rope bridges and there are stairs and ladders leading up to each of them. Rules:~No perfect characters, godmodding or power playing. ~Lioden Rules apply. ~Please keep swearing to a minimum. ~3+ sentences. Please be literate. If you don't speak fluent english please don't join. ~Do not kill, seriously injure or hurt another character without their owners permission. ~Feel free to cause drama but don't do it all the time. ~Every Shifter studies an element of magic but the White Magic Shifters specialise in lots of different types of magic and shifting. (Your shifter must know some sort of magic but doesn't have to ever have any involvement in it if that is what you wish.) ~Only past tense writing please. 1st Person or 3rd person are ok. ~Check to see what animals are already taken. Only one type of a certain animal. No double ups! ~Fade to black only if mating, birthing is ok. ~Be nice to everyone! ~Shifters have only ONE animal form so choose wisely. You can't change it! ~Put your favourite number in Other if you've read the rules. ~Trainee Shifters are Shifters that have not yet discovered their animal form. Once they can shift as they please they will move to their own house and begin to study magic. ~When Posting please put at least "Name|Gender|Species|Rank." It just makes it easier to follow. You may add more detail if you wish. (Any more suggestions? Feel free to say them!) Tavani Joyce|15|Female|Trainee Shifter|Serval Tavani sat cross-legged on a moss covered boulder, sunlight flickering only inches away from her. She preferred the shade, when she looked into the sunny area she could see clearer. The soft trickle of the waterfall and quiet chirping birds were the only sounds to disturb the peace. She closed her eyes and sighed. She wanted, more than anything, to find what animal her spirit was attached to but she knew that now was not the time. However, she felt a slight tug in her gut and something told her the time would come soon enough. Tavani dropped her head into her hands for a moment before looking up. She stood and leaped from rock to rock until she reached the waterfall fed pool. The Sky Pool. She gazed into the unfaltering sunlight and whispered, "An angel flies strongest where the hint of death is greatest. A demons presence is always known where the shadows of sin cast the longest." These were the words her mother once spoke to her. She had said, don't let yourself turn into shadow. Find your wings and have faith that they will not let you fall. Tavani took a deep breath and sat down once more. She dipped her toes into the water and shuddered at the chill. 0 players like this post! Kate || 18 || Female || Snow Leopard ||Full Shifter || Kate then devoted her time in the vegetation of the forest in her animal form. She much preferred being a snow leopard, she thought that they looked gorgeous and were so graceful. The forest's undergrowth brushed against the shifter's stomach fur as she prowled the forest floor and heading towards the lake. As the big cat neared the lake, she heard chatter, and peaked through the bushes to reavel an otter and a swan. Vic and Leigha Kate chuckled softly to herself, "let's give those two a surprise"and crouched low, ready to pounce. (I think iI forgot to add this inin my form, but Kate can lose control of her animal form only if her big cat instincts are really high so it is rare)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Getting up from my seat, I moved towards the door, heading further down I soon reached the magic shop. Sniffing the air, I know that Avon hadn't yet left. (Just gonna start where he left off.) She joked back; it had been unfair, but she had enjoyed it anyway. "Pretty uneventful actually... My trainee was up with the sun, but after I went back to bed it was fine. What about you?" Maina was a pretty relaxed teache. She herself had found her animal only a short while after arriving, but truthfully had no idea how she had done it. Her teacher had made her meditate a lot, and since Tavani seemed to do that a lot anyway, she wasn't too sure what else she could do to help. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He asked quietly. He was about to speak again when he heard a loud splash, looking over and seeing a wolf in the water. For a second, his heart dropped, but then he recognized it as Wynter, their Leader's mate. "Wynter! Hi!" He said, waving a paw. "Wheres our Leader?" He called out. Wynter l l Female l l Wolf l l Vic Fuentes She let a growl escape her maw as she struggled to keep her strength up. "I'm fine, thanks for asking!" She asnarled, teeth bared. "And hi. These damn tourists, I swear I'll rip their heads off!" She howled, swimming back to the shore and turning back into a human, flipping her soaking wet brown hair. "Curse you!" Her tail feathers twitched and she looked back at Vic. "No thank you. I did eat before I came," she didn't want to come off as greedy, but soon her stomach growled, betraying her words. Leigha was getting a bit more comfortable and was more willing to talk when the leader's mate splashed in the water, soaking Leigha's feathers in the liquid. Too many people... (Sorry for the late reply, I didn't know this had started X3) Electra Tatum| White Magic Shifter| Female| Dhole| Vic Fuentes Electra sat on a low hanging branch, overlooking the lake. She was watching Vic and Leigha, her eyes twinkling with amusement as Leigha left. She shifted into her dhole form and dived off the branch, landing right beside Vic and causing a big splash. She swam to the surface, snickering and hoping she had scared him. "Hey, Vic!" She said happily. She could swim surprisingly well in animal form, considering the dhole was some sort of canine. This was because her paws were slightly webbed so they acted like paddles. She looked Vic over patiently, awaiting a reaction. 0 players like this post! Without moving from her spot, she peered through the bushes to find the leader's mate had joined the first two shifters. Oh well, Kate mumbled as she walked out of the forest vegetation and tried to not look suspicious.
