Shifting SpiritsNot a Shifter yet? Join here before posting on this thread!A warm mist surrounds your body, masking the scents of the forest. You feel cold, despite the beaming morning sun. Suddenly, a crackle of leaves sounds behind you and you whirl around to see a...... a tribe of humans staring expectantly at you. "Welcome to the Forest of Shifting Spirits." The voice seems to be all around you as if the whole forest is speaking but yet it just comes from one of the humans before you. "You are one of us. Your spirit longs to be one of the Others. An animal lives deep inside of you and it urges to be set free." All you can do is stare in bewilderment as the humans in front of you start to change. A voice speaks in your mind, "We are one." This time however, the voice seems oddly familiar yet you've never heard it before. With a shudder you realise that this is what they were talking about. Your spirit is more that you ever imagined. (Original Rp idea by RainWatcher (#40211)  This is the Star Stones. Where the Shifters gather to share their newfound spells, talk or just hang out. The way to get here is by following the Lake Path to its end and you will come across the Star Stones. This is where all "Tribe" meetings are held.  The Lake Path where most Shifters often like to swim. This is the main route to the Star Stones and the Forest Village where the Shifters live. There are many different types of fish living in this lake and some Shifters even like to hunt in their animals forms in the lake.  These are the houses in which the Shifters live, commonly referred to as the "Forest Village." Each Shifter lives in their own house but more often Trainee Shifters will live with their Teachers. All the houses are connected by rope bridges and there are stairs and ladders leading up to each of them. Rules:~No perfect characters, godmodding or power playing. ~Lioden Rules apply. ~Please keep swearing to a minimum. ~3+ sentences. Please be literate. If you don't speak fluent english please don't join. ~Do not kill, seriously injure or hurt another character without their owners permission. ~Feel free to cause drama but don't do it all the time. ~Every Shifter studies an element of magic but the White Magic Shifters specialise in lots of different types of magic and shifting. (Your shifter must know some sort of magic but doesn't have to ever have any involvement in it if that is what you wish.) ~Only past tense writing please. 1st Person or 3rd person are ok. ~Check to see what animals are already taken. Only one type of a certain animal. No double ups! ~Fade to black only if mating, birthing is ok. ~Be nice to everyone! ~Shifters have only ONE animal form so choose wisely. You can't change it! ~Put your favourite number in Other if you've read the rules. ~Trainee Shifters are Shifters that have not yet discovered their animal form. Once they can shift as they please they will move to their own house and begin to study magic. ~When Posting please put at least "Name|Gender|Species|Rank." It just makes it easier to follow. You may add more detail if you wish. (Any more suggestions? Feel free to say them!) Vic Fuentes l l Male Full Shifter l l Otter l l Leigha Valkens As they veered into town, he spotted a familiar frame, easily telling it was a shifter. Quickly remembering her name, he shouted, waving a hand. "Hey, Valkens!" He smiled, feeling Ryan struggle to stay on his shoulder. He picked up his pace, glancing back at Electra, and reaching his hand out and lightly grabbing Leigha's shoulder, knowing by experience how touchy she was. "Vic, remember? From the lake?" He lightly laughed, seeing Ryan lean forward and observe her from the corners of his eyes. Ryan Ross l l Male Full Shifter l l Amur Leopard l l Valkens, Vic He hissed as Ryan began to run, trying to hold his balance as his arm whipped up and nearly knocked him off. Leigha Valkens|22|Female|Swan|Full Shifter Leigha jumped at the sound of her own name being said by a familiar voice. When she felt his hand touch her shoulder, Leigha felt her body tense up. She slowly turned to see him in his human form with a small creature on his shoulder. "Um..hi.. I remember.. It was only a few moments ago." The shifter didn't want to make any eye contact, but felt herself looking into Vic's eyes. "I, uh, I'm going to Sugared Sweets if you want to come." Maina Kepaldia|18|Female|Red Panda|Full Shifter (Mason Jones) Mai was pushed underwater, but stil grinning when she came up; even if she was a land mammal, water was definitely enjoyable. She looked up at the sun when Mason called out Lunchtime, quickly looking back at him, blinking spots out of her eyes. "Sounds good!" She hummed, getting hungry now that he mentioned it, and then began stroking to the shore. Taking out a qaurter of the money he'd stolen ($100), he handed it to Electra. "Meet back here in around an hour?" He asked, feeling guilty for ditching her, but he found it fair for he had first been talking with Leigha. He looked back to Leigha, a smile on his face. "I hope you don't mind if Ryan, my brother, were to join us. He doesn't talk much.." Vic shrugged, petting Ryan softly with his hand. Mason didn't spend that much time with Mai, but he was enjoying himself with her. Leigha waved back to Ryan, ignoring the exchange of money between Vic and another shifter she didn't know. She realized how many shifters she didn't know after seeing so many today. He entered the store, the smell of sweets drifting to his nose. His attention was turned to a shriek. "A leopard! You can't have that in here, it'll attack us!" He made a dumbfounded face as she talked. "Leopard, ha! No, no, no, this is a cat, you see. His name is Ryan. If he were a Leopard, do you think he'd be able to fit on my shoulder? He doesn't shed, and all he does is hang here, so he won't be a bother." Vic snickered at his lie. "Oh, alright. Sorry.." He nodded to her and walked up to the counter, looking at the treats presented in the glass cases. "What do you want? I can buy." He yawned lightly. He purred lightly. "Oh, and I want a mini frosted cake.. Mmm, that sounds good." Glacia Mari .:. Female .:. Full Shifter .:. White Tiger.:. 19 Glacia wandered the Lake Path in her animal form. The pretty huge white tiger felt the warm sun on her pelt clearly and even though it wasnt really a bad feeling, the siberian lady still preferred snow and cold temperatures. Her blue eyes scanned her surroundings once before she turned herself towards the lake. The surface shimmered wonderfully and the light seemed to have lots of fun playing with its colors. A breeze slightly moved the leaves, the grass, but the water still was like a perfect mirror... the perfect natural symphony. Glacia sighed in fascination and slowly entered the water trying not to disturb the fishes too much. At a part of the lake where she was able to stand she stopped. Electra Tatum| White Magic Shifter| Dhole| Vic & Ryan Electra watched as Vic took the wallet with a sneer. "Great job." She commented. "And now that you mention it, I am quite hungry." She admitted. Listening to the leopard, she rolled her eyes. "I am not a dog, I'm a dhole." She told him. "And I was just trying to be polite. What did I do to you that made you hate me?" She didn't flinch when he swung a paw, and she sighed. She sighed as Vic approached the swan shifter that he had talked to earlier, shaking her head. From what she had seen, this girl wasn't exactly a fun person. She shrugged and took the $100 dollar bill. She'd save it for doing something later, for now she felt like pranking somebody. She walked away from the group happily. She spotted some human kids playing tag and causing quite a lot of noise. 'I've never liked kids.' She thought before making an illusion to seem like there was a large doberman running towards the children, barking aggressively. It wasn't real, but it looked real enough to the children. They ran off screaming, and once they were out of sight Electra made the illusion disappear, laughing her head off. 'Humans are hilarious.'. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Hey, Valkens, no need to pitch in. I got plenty of what I don't need." He smiled, handing the payment to the cashier. "I didn't say I was paying just so you could pitch in a 20." He smiled jokingly and grabbed their treats, and turning back to her. "Want to eat here or do you want it for later?" He asked her, offering her bag.
