"Well maybe Kyle doesn't have to come and maybe I could hide my tail." She looked at the extra grey apendage and then looked back at Aspen. "Think about it. He could watch the younger ones or the ones who absolutely can't blend in while me and you go and scout around. It's a city, there's bound to be some place to hide. " She looked out at their group. All had been robbed of a normal life because of the odd fantasies of a few fanatical scientists. "We should have to live in caves and hunt wild animals, Aspen. We're still people and we above all else don't deserve that. " Trying to lighten the mood a bit, she added, "So we going to run around in loin cloths and animal pelts?"

Aspen sighed, realizing there was no deterring her friend. "Alright. But only two or three of us. Two older girls leading a bunch of small kids around would be too noticeable." She responded firmly, in an attempt to at the least limit this gauntlet. "Caves and hunting aren't all bad." Snickering at Ahren's last sentence, she couldn't hold back from teasing a bit. "Well, you'll have to. It's the rules."

Happy with their compromise, Ahren giggled as well. "J will not be running around in animal pelts. We are practically half animals so it seems slightly wrong to wear their flesh." She smiled and then asked, "So if we find a city, will be you and me headed out or will someone else be with us?" They would first need to find one. Easier said than done. With no knowledge of where they were, there was no knowing when or if they would find civilization. Also, they had to stay off the grid. The soldiers and scientists would most definitely be searching for the lost hybrids.

"Just us, unless you had another person in mind?" Aspen questioned, glancing up as the rain began to let up. She shook her wings reflexively, spritzing drops over the mat of pine needles. "Should we go now, or wait?"

"I have no one in mind but I wasn't sure if you had anyone in mind." She thought for a moment and watched as Aspen shook her wings. "Maybe we could ask one of the guys? Not Kyle, he's going to play babysitter. But maybe one of the other guys? Just to have some beefy testosterone to protect us damsels should something happen?" She smiled and then noticed herself that the rain was letting up. "Maybe let's take a moment. I don't sense anyone near us other than the other hybrids. Plus, Kyle is like a super ninja now, he'll know if someone is coming."

"No, but that's a great idea. Although you're probably stronger than half of them, Ms. Lioness." Aspen said, grinning. She gazed around, looking for any suitable guys, but only spotted Able. "Plus, there aren't many guys beside Kyle. I'm not sure who we can ask."

Ms. Lioness followed Aspens wandering gaze to Able, a hybrid she knew very little about. In fact, she couldn't have cared less for most of the other hybrids back when they were still imprisoned. She was never the 'I would love to get to know you' kind of girl, that was more of Aspen's job. "What about that dude?" Perhaps now was a good time to make friends.

Aspen considered the fox-like boy for a moment before nodding. "Sure, go get him." She said lightly, knowing that Ahren would protest and most likely make her do it instead.

Ahren sized up the fox hybrid thing before her and then sighed. "Why I I have to talk to him? You know I don't talk to people." The Lioness crossed her arms defiantly and an immature fashion and pouted. "Plus, you agreed to my idea so it is your responsibility to do everything to make it work." At that, a mischievous smile tugged at the corners of the girls mouth.

(I am late starting, so I'm just gonna make Blake a creepy stalker XD.)

Blake had been following the group swiftly, hopping along on his toes as he navigated the ground. His tail flicked softly now, the feathers swishing in wind, as he hid behind a nearby boulder, crouched down on all fours. He made a soft, bird-like chattering noise as he sat downwind, the quills buried beneath his blonde hair moving slightly in unison as he listened to their conversation. He could feel the cool, humid air leaving condensation on the scales lining his arms; he let out a soft hiss as he felt his body temperature lower from the slight cold. He would need to find somewhere warm - fast. He knew he would need to approach these other hybrids soon, but decided later would be a better bet for him. He was scary enough - a monster like him just walking in on their conversation would scare the shit out of anyone.

Kyle

He perked up when he heard an abnormal bird like noise. It was nothing like he had ever heard before. He stood up, body tensed and ready to dodge or strike, whichever necessary. He looked around coolly, his eyes narrow as he searched the dull, grey landscape. He saw some movement to his right and quickly moved to defend the group of hybrids. "Show yourself!" The cheetah hybrid called out somewhat quietly so as not to attract attention from the other hybrids.
