Radia watched the scene pass, glancing at James. She held in a small laugh, biting her lower lip to keep it in. She knew how to get on his nerves now. Drink a lot and talk loud, especially when eating. She waited for everyone else to start eating before slowly starting herself. She had to hold back from gulping the whole plate down at once. Yeah, she'd been brought food over the past week, but compared to this, that food might as well have been roadkill or something. Who knew two completely different types of food could come from the same place?

When he was absolutely certain nobody would act up again, James nodded slightly to himself, focusing more on eating. He glanced at Radia, wondering what she thought about the whole meal, and the abundance of food. He assumed she felt sort of bitter about it, maybe, and understandably so, and he almost wanted to ask, but he knew he probably shouldn't, at least, not at dinner. He decided he'd ask her after, though, and returned to looking down at his plate.

Radia had learned to tune them out. Almost. After dinner, James's warning hadn't lasted, and they'd started talking-- especially Trevor-- and they wouldn't stop. Radia had started out fine, giving smiles, small comments, but the more it went on, the more her plan slipped and a headache started to form. And they hadn't even had dessert yet. The cakes seemed to fuel Trevor, and the drinks, and he'd hit it off, talking about himself and sometimes mentioning his cousins. David would jump in at times making loud comments and such. At this point, Radia just wanted to get out. She lightly rubbed her temple, trying to distract herself and wake herself up .She glanced over at James, wondering if he was faring any better than her. He probably was, he had more practice with them.

(alright, and it's totally fine)

James was a bit ticked, to say the least, that his cousins didn't listen to him, but he didn't bother trying to shut them up again. He was well aware, that they probably wouldn't listen. Especially Trevor. "How're you holding up?" He asked Radia quietly, leaning over to her slightly. Mostly, he asked out of curiosity, and he did need a distraction, from his cousins, so he didn't snap at them, too much, or anything. He was very tempted to shut them up, forcefully, if needed, though, but James restrained himself.

Radia gave a weak smile, leaning towards him only slightly. "I'm not going to be able to sleep with this headache..." She half whispered back. It wasn't a lie, but maybe a bit exaggerated. She wondered how James ever did it. She might have prefered skipping a meal or two than this. "How long do these normally last?" She asked, worried she'd have to stay for much longer. She was sure they were generally... nice people, but they were just so... annoying. No wonder they weren't married yet.

James nodded slightly in response. "Yeah, they're bound to cause more than a few headaches. Eventually, you start getting used to their antics, though." He replied, with a small grin. He still wasn't totally unfazed, by how they acted, though, and doubted he ever really would be. "A few hours, depending on who's here." He shrugged slightly, as he spoke.

Radia slightly shuddered at the thought. Yeah, no. Ditch the plan. They probably wouldn't help her anyways. And she really, really didn't want her headache to grow. "I can't do a few hours." She told him. She lightly chewwed the inside of her lower lip. "Forget living with one." She wouldn't have ever allowed that anyways, but this just would have sent her over far the top.

James briefly narrowed his eyes at her, slightly, before nodding again. He considered what he could do for her, other than just taking her away from the dining hall for the rest of the night. "Alright.. I can get you out of here, but not for long. Make an excuse, to get out, and I'll come to make sure you don't do anything, so they probably wouldn't suspect anything, for the most part." He told her, quietly.

Radia pursed her lips. Why would he help her escape this, for even just a moment? She shrugged it off. It wasn't worth thinking about. If she asked, he'd probably take back his offer. She took a deep breath in and then placed her hand over her stomach. "I'm feeling a bit ill... May I be excused?" She asked trying to make her voice sound a bit weak. She looked over at the king and queen as she spoke. The queen glanced at her husband once before nodding her head. "If course." Radia gave a small nod of her head and then stood and started to leave. Before she turned her back to the table, though, she caught the king looking at James, a silent signal to follow Radia. She took a shakeg breath, and made her way to and out the doors.

James didn't really need his father to tell him to follow her, as he'd probably do it anyways, but he nodded at the king, and stood, quick to follow after Radia. He noticed a few odd looks from his cousins, mostly from David, though it was hard to tell, since his constant expression was odd enough, so James just assumed he was a bit confused. Ryan hardly seemed to care, and Trevor, barely seemed to notice her leaving. Once they were out in the hall, James took a quick breath, relieved to get away from them, honestly.

Radia started pacing down the hallway, going ten feet one way before turning around and going the other way. She lightly chewed her lower lip. Her excuse hadn't been a whole lie. She had started to feel sick. She barely glanced up when James followed her into the hallway. and her pacing, if anything, only sped up. Her plan had started well enough but had crashed in a massive explosion of flames and shrapnel. She didn't know where it went wrong, but it did, and she was feeling it now. What if she didn't make it out of this castle? And ended up like the other captured magic users? She shuddered.

James watched her pace, almost wondering what she was thinking. He continued watching her for a few minutes, his brows furrowed slightly in thought, considering what he should do, now. Eventually, he stepped in front of her, and took hold of her shoulders, stopping her. "Please calm down. Pacing will not help anything." He told her, somewhat quietly, in case his parents had a servant listening in on them or something, he never knew what to expect, really.

Radia suddenly stopped when she felt a warm touch connect with her shoulders, and then slowly looked up to meet James's gaze. As soon as she made it up, she adverted her gaze. "No, you're right. I can't go back and forth, I need to go one way, how else would I get out?" She asked, a bit sarcastically. She flinched slightly, her voice had been louder than his, seemingly amplified in the dead silent corridor.

James gave her a look, a slight bit of concern showing, maybe, in his gaze, as he looked down at her. "Funny." He responded, clearly sarcastically. "Seriously, though. Calm down, alright?" He said, not letting go of her shoulders just yet, if he was planning to do so. He was tempted to shush her, because of her louder voice, but he restrained himself.

She gave a weak smile to his first comment, and then took a few deep breaths in and out. "I'll try, but you don't understand what this is like." She said, making sure her voice wasn't as loud as before. "And I don't want you to say that you do because you don't. You really don't." She wanted to keep going, seeing what is happening is not the same as feeling what is happening.,/I> but she bit her tongue, not wanting to ramble on. It wouldn't do her any good anyways.
