Yep that is my plan! My heir will also be getting the Ice app so hopefully I'll be able to have some hard mode combo breeding projects.

Hi Lilac! Main thing I can think of is this:

• Male Groupies. The ones you can only get during the May event? Hoard those. Keep one or two, train them, or sell them. Heritage replace your king…

Of course, it's less relevant if you're not planning to stud your king to other HM'ers, or aren't concerned with inbreeding in your pride. Having clean lions is very much optional in HM, though there are quite a few of us (myself included) who keep their prides clean in one way or another.

For me hard mode is extreme clean breeding 😭 it honestly gets kinda difficult but alongside my pride lore I am gonna start “marrying off” my daughters to other hard mode kings. They’ll stay in my pride but each heat (it will be crbed) and will go to their mate.

I think it’s a fun idea to keep some more lore in my pride :) my first hard mode cubs are just now aging up so I’ll be starting it soon!

The idea of Hard Mode is building your pride the way you want to, without doing it the "easy" way—studding to any king/queen out there, or just buying markings with the lions you want. That's what it boils down to at its core (though Cerrates is definitely free to correct me; they're The Head Honcho. :)).

So the way you build your pride depends on your goals…

Is your pride lore-based? Are you writing for your lions? Rolling them? Doing something like Liolocke (I do that on my side when I'm not using it for storage. lol My pride is larger than you'd think)?

Are you breeding for stats? A certain base? A certain look?

I'd be happy to give handy tips based on what I've learned in my time doing it, and I'm sure there are others here who can as well. <3

I've actually just reset this pride (this is my side, my main is a mess that I'm refusing to acknowledge, I love it but there's just no way to fix it at this point without losing lionesses I like xD ), with plans to build a mostly primal or only primal pride because I am *obsessed* with them, combo breeding as a side project for some currency. I'm pretty sure my pride fits the criteria, except for the heritage rep I bought for my main that I'm training rn. Would I have to get rid of the lions I've collected so far to join, or would it be fine to keep them (I have 3-4 chaseds, and some ncls that I've studded to get a mistletoe cub that will eventually go to my main)?
And I'd love any advice you'd be willing to share, I've been playing lioden for years but have reached the point where I need something new to keep engaged.

Just asking a few because I'm curious:

1. If I joined with my side [still a starter king lol], but my side [this account will be my side in a few months! < 3 new high-stat king. doesn't meet the requirements, would I be rejected? or does the rules only apply to the account that has joined?

2. When I move over to my side, I will have a couple of hybrids joining me over there, is that fine as long as they are in a DEN labelled 'not hard mode'. What is the maximum amount of lions you could have in said den? [as a reference, I'll only have the pon on there for around 15 days, and then she'll be frozen on my [current] main account].

3. Due to my [current] main account becoming a high stat account and will be only rolled over a couple times a month, and if I planned to mass breed during that time in a separate den on my side [only using the funds on my main ofc, not the hard-mode account], is that alright, or would it break the rules? Would it also be against the rules to own a thread to book studdings to this said account [again, all funds will NOT be held on the hard-mode account, but on the other one and will only be used for the purpose of my other account]

4. Do you absolutely have to start with a g1 king that is bred by let's say my side? is it against the rules to use a clean g4 [with a g1 mut rep ofc] as a king to start a new bloodline if I so wished? [this would be offspring of this account's king]

5. Are stat items allowed to be used on kings? Such as Broken drones, giant torts, etc. [aware they're exp, but they count as stat when using them on a king imo].

6. If I was to use my side [the planned hard-mode account] to assist this account in events such as February, would it be wrong or does that not matter?

7. if I was to breed to a lion with another heritage, but without plans of actually keeping it [or if i bred dirty]; so I'd sell it, would it be against the rules?

Sorry, long list but I'm super curious is all! I wasn't into LD when i first started off and have found it isn't that much of a challenge so far [I've been actively online for around 2 years straight almost]
