Right, so I had an idea. Female lionesses will (probably) not get primal, meaning it would pass exclusively from the male line. That makes it VERY limited though since most people don't like male cubs/don't have the space for them and would only end up chasing or sex changing them. Also, submales can't breed and not everyone (me for example) wants a primal King. Solution: Why don't we have it so that the females CARRY the gene for Primal but rarely, or never express it. Think of it as a sex-linked thing, like color blindness. Women typically don't get it because it's found on the 'X' gene. If you've got a bad 'X' gene a good 'X' gene will take over and the women's vision will be fine. Two bad X's and yeah-- you'll be colorblind and any sons you have will also be. Your daughters will carry it. However, if you're a guy, you've only got one X so you're only option IS to be colorblind. So maybe Females can have expressed primal (rare than male primal) with a definite (or higher) pass rate to sons (the rate of male to female cubs is roughly 1/3) and carried primal (commonality: ???) which they can inherit from their fathers and pass on to any sons. How I'm seeing it: Base Pass Rate (from father) 5% (to sons) 1-2.5% (to daughters - carried) .5-1% (to daughters - express) --- Base Pass Rate (from mother) 3% (from Carrier mother to son) 2% (from Carrier mother to daughter:carried) 1.5% (from carrier mother to daughter:expressed) 7% (from Expressed Mother to son) 5% (from Carrier mother to son) 4% (from Expressed Mother to daughter:carried) 2% (from Expressed Mother to daughter:expressed) EDIT 1: Since most people favor a solo male pass consider the gene being exclusively male BUT females can carry it? This is an idea already in the works and the numbers above (minus expressed lionesses) still apply to the idea. I don't know, thoughts? Suggestions? |

Pretty sure it's for all males, Phantom. Kings could only pass it 'cause only they can breed. 0 players like this post! Like? |

How about if a girl is born from the primal mutant, she has a chance of producing offspring with the mutation? Cause I don't think all the females have a chance of the mutation if they don't have anyone related to them who has the mutation. Get what I'm saying? ..... that wasn't my point bullet. Lol. I just meant if you want to actually pass the mutation it'd need to on a main male, otherwise it's just a trophy, like most the mutations presently. 0 players like this post! Like? |

What's the big deal with them sitting and being pretty? People will still want them, Phantom StarsX (#92256). 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think it would be quite cool if it can be passed to females, however females cannot pass it to offspring so it'd be purely aesthetic on a lioness :) That would make Primal Kings a little more valuable too, since they'd be the only one's able to pass it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"How about if a girl is born from the primal mutant, she has a chance of producing offspring with the mutation?" THIS. Also, if you get a male maybe you could LTF (lab test frog) him and there'd be female primal art? 0 players like this post! Like? |

.... :P eh... I don't think I'm conveying my point very well Bullet, and it wasn't my main point to begin with. Im aware of mutations as trophies, im a mild mutie breeder myself. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Wait. If the female can't pass on the mutation. How can we get more of the mutated lions, Kraft (#1105). We need a daddy lion and a mommy lion to do the nasty to get the mutated baby. Edit: I'm a mutated lion/lioness buyer. XDD @Phantom StarsX (#92256) 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 31/12/16 @ 23:32:18 by BulletHeadJack [#Fin] (#61032) |

And not neccesarily Kraft. First Gen Leopons are more valuable because that have a 5% chance of passing the mutation. 2nd and onward only have a 1% chance. Same deal here. With male it would be like 4 or 5% and with females it would be 1 or 2%. Males would still be valuable, simply because males can breed more (no cooldowns) and because the chance is greater so they'd still be preferred of primal carrying females/non-primal males. 0 players like this post! To get more of the mutation, it would rely solely on the male having a male cub, and chancing the mutation. I'm not against any ideas here, the mutation itself it really cool and if I can grab one, my future King will have one. And don't get me wrong, I'd love to breed a den of primal babies from females too! I just think that it would make an interesting twist to how a mutation functions on Lioden :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ah, so like, if the mutated lion has a boy, the boy would have the mutation? (I'm not saying that every time you breed you get that mutated lion.) Edit: I feel like we're all friends. XDD 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 31/12/16 @ 23:38:57 by BulletHeadJack [#Fin] (#61032) |
