The second youngest was silent. She sat on a mossy rock, hugging her kness and dipping her fingers in a little creek she found. She was usually very talkative, but when water was around she became more introspective. This particular creek was special to her, despite only knowing it for a matter of minutes. It reminded her of her plant, Uranus. The chilly waters, though nowhere near as frigid as her home, reminded her of the icy hydrogen seas and ice.

She heard yelling. It was something about shoes, probably them being muddy of something. Getting up, she followed the noise. Unsurprisingly, she saw two of the others. "Hey guys!" She was bubbly as ever now. "What's shakin'?"

For someone who ruled the Sun, you'd expect him to be hating Earth. After all, it was noticeably colder than his star. It was filled with strange green stuff everywhere. It had water. It actually had complicated materials that were not either Hydrogen or Helium completing their typical reactions in order to power the Sun's light. He should've absolutely hated it here.

Nah, he didn't. It was fantastic here.

Darius was likely one of few who would say he actually preferred Earth to his flaming hot ball in the sky, although he'd very likely keep such a thing to himself. The guy never really liked to talk much, preferring to sit to himself and just... Watch as things happened. Not the most proactive guy, I must say, and that extends very much into sharing his opinions on the situation. Darius liked Earth, not for any particular reason, but he just did.

He half wished he could've ruled Earth instead of the Sun. It was so much nicer. I mean, wasn't that a given? This planet supported life. Sure, Mars may have supported some ancient bacteria a few eons ago, but nothing had produced as much life as Earth, at least within the solar system. There were plants that were blossoming in beautiful shades of green, some with flowers of all colors of the rainbow. There were animals that jumped and pranced around, some friendly, some not. There were people here, people for him to talk to.

Not that he couldn't talk to the other Zodiac. It's just that he wasn't too fond of it. They were all too... Extreme for him, if that made sense. See, most of the other Zodiac were girls. He didn't mind girls, at least not as friends, but when you're stuck in a group of girls as the only guy, it gets a tad annoying. There's a very notable, very prominent variance in how they think. That's fine, they do them. But Darius would like some other guys to talk to.

Guys that weren't Rean or Luka. He had no problem with the boys, except that he did. Luka had a permanent stick up his ass that Darius didn't appreciate, and always seemed 'too cool' for having any sort of emotion displayed other than, in Darius's opinion, 'constipated.' The fact that Luka didn't seem to feel anything both unnerved him and angered him. Darius was Leo, a very caring Zodiac, even if he didn't seem like it. The apparent absence of emotion held in Luka was... Disturbing to him. He'd tried to convince himself that that wasn't the case, that Luka did have emotions, but he just couldn't convince himself with that condescending, steely gaze that Luka always held everyone with.

Rean, on the other hand, did seem to have emotions, which immediately made Darius prefer him over Luka, although that wasn't to say much. Rean was a bit nosy, and for the ever-secretive Darius, it made his blood boil. Not to menton that Rean kept bothering him and poking fun at him with his damned cat. He put a lion's mane on it and said, "Hey, look, it's Leo!"

Darius didn't really appreciate that. He never really appreciated any joke, really, but he'd never admit that he had as much of a stick up his butt as Luka.

He could appreciate only one of the boys in this damned house, and that was Casey.

Casey was quiet and reserved, just like him, but not annoyingly so. He was the Goldilocks of the Zodiac Boys, he felt, and would stick by that sentiment. Of course, he never talked to the guy. He felt their relationship was best left for occasional nods in greeting across the room from one another. Ah, a beautiful friendship, they had. Darius wouldn't trade it for the world.

The tall, lanky boy rested across his messy bed, his golden eyes staring blankly at the ceiling above. He'd been awake for about an hour or so, trying to work up the energy to pull himself out of bed and march on over to the coffee maker sitting in the corner of his room. The room in question looked rather messy, though it was more out of Darius's request that it looked as such. He preferred a 'lived in' look, something organic and imperfect. It was comforting, although he hadn't the slightest clue why. He wasn't even human enough to desire that lived-in imperfection, yet he did.

Hearing the growing commotion downstairs, Darius decided he'd finally have to get up. He heaved a sigh, his bloodshot eyes falling closed.

"Time for another day," he mumbled, his throat sounding scratchy. With a grunt, the tall boy hefted himself up from his bed and made his way almost drunkenly to his dresser, where he lazily skimmed through his 'impressive' selection of dark-colored shirts and skinny jeans. What was he, some high school emo wannabe? The answer was yes. Yes he was. All he was missing was the black hair dye, and his edgy look could be complete.

Casting his pajamas to the corner of his bed with a half-hearted throw, Darius plucked out a random black shirt and jeans, deciding it was best not to bother with complicated outfits. He wasn't here to be stylish, after all. He hastily pulled on his shoddy clothes and opened the door to his bedroom, where he was greeted by the sounds of loud chatter. He wasn't nearly about to try and speak up over it. Instead he stood at the top of the stairs, and as he walked down tiredly, he lifted a hand in brief, equally tired greeting. Where was the coffee?

See? There was that wonderful friendship. Just a wave, nothing more. No small talk, no irritating chatter, no nothing. Just a wave in return. Darius appreciated that greatly, offering the tiniest quirk in the corner of his scarred lip in something that resembled a smile. He wandered over to the coffee pot, pulling it out to see if anyone had already made any coffee for him to 'borrow'. The answer was no.

Heaving a sigh, he turned to rummage through the cabinets for coffee beans, his face pulling into a sour expression. Aw, c'mon sunshine, smile a bit. You're the ruler of the Sun, aren't you? It's morning, your time to thrive!

Except, how about no.

Just as his hand found a small bag of coffee beans, he felt eyes peering into the back of his skull. He half expected someone to be standing directly behind him with the intensity of the stare, but then again, he was just... Paranoid. He didn't like it when people stared at him for too long. What was the point in staring, anyway? Instead of finding someone directly behind him, he saw Virgo eyeing him. He narrowed his eyes slightly in return, though instead of looking mildly pissed off, he just looked like a cranky teenager as he yanked the coffee beans down.

He sighed as he turned to the bean grinder, setting down the coffee beans in irritation beside it. Did he really want to do this? It would be so noisy... At the very least, people were awake. People were chattering. Still, he didn't want to interrupt whatever conversations they were having. Eh, might as well ask.

"Hey, do you guys care if I grind these coffee beans? It'll be noisy," he said, his Romanian accent warping the words slightly from their English pronunciation. "Didn't wanna bother you guys too much."

... Okay, well, at least some else was handling it.

Darius awkwardly shuffled out of the kitchen, bare feet squeaking softly against the tile as he dragged them to allow Dakota to have free reign of the kitchen. He sure as hell wasn't going to get in her way, especially when she was moving with almost insane speed from area to area as she masterfully cooked them a decent breakfast. All was well; He didn't want to make coffee for himself, anyway. He was more than content to let someone as skilled at multitasking as Dakota handle the whole she-bang.

He gave a small snort resembling a laugh at what Casey said, though he shrugged his shoulders to assure him that it wasn't a big deal. He, too, moved to sit down at the table, taking the spot nearest to Casey, leaning his elbow on the table and bracing his chin up. With his other hand, he rubbed at his eyes, which had soft purple spots beneath them, displaying how tired he was. He wasn't sure whether to make conversation with Casey or not, though he obviously decided against it, merely closing his eyes sleepily as he stared at the back of his eyelids.

His hair was horribly ruffled, giving him the worst bedhead. It was quite obvious that he hadn't combed his hair yet, leaving it looking like a small, red-brown poof on the top of his head. There was a thin line of dried drool on his cheek that he hadn't yet noticed in his sleep-jumbled state of awakening.

The man heaved himself on to a nearby branch. He had been hiding in the distant woods that surrounded the Zodiacs' home. He watched as he saw them interact with each other and saw how they gestered towards one another. His sneared slightly at the sight. " How is it that I become the outcast of the bunch. " he said in temper under his breath. He returned his gaze back onto the Zodiac bunch, knowing they were unaware of his presents.

Then he had seen one of the members dispersed from the group. A lone wolf huh? He thought as he continued to watch where she was heading. He thought of following the girl, but rethought about how the others would be suspicious of her disappearance and try to find her. It's best if I just lay and wait for the perfect time. he thought to himself cleverly. He then placed his hand on to his snake that had been wrapped around his neck. He seemed to be carrying snakes all the time, wether he had found it moments ago or it had been one of his personal snakes. He loved his snakes, even though most would flee from such a dangerous creature. Jaxton thinks that their exotic behavior is what makes them unique.
