Welcome to Athena's Adoption Center!
 We (the broodmothers) take in and adopt out unwanted babies! RULES: 1. DO NOT adopt if the plan is to chase/kill/sell or otherwise. *When adopting, please use NAMES in the RP response, and then put the links at the end. Using links in place of names makes it hard to read, but it helps me keep them in order if you include a link at the end. **BROODMOTHERS ARE NOT ADOPTABLE. A proud male strides to one of the brood mothers, an adolescent on his tail playfully running along. Though he walks past to greet Athena, a smile on his aging face. "I have a adolescent for you Athena, If you can take her. She is growing older and my pride cannot handle how rowdy she is. Disturbing my younger cubs and is been a small nuisance. Though I promise she's a good cub, just needs more patient paws than what I have in my increasing age." He mumbles on, pushing the Adol forward and said Adol complained. "Don't push me Flamefur- I'm going, don't pushhh-" Angel complained, presenting herself infront of Athena with a little smirk,"Hello ma'am! Looking forward to joining you I guess." Lycan struts into the cave,closely followed by Sandstorm. He looks at the cubs,trying to figure which he should take. After a few seconds, Angel takes his interest. An emaciated lioness comes slinking towards the cave. She flinches at any movement and keeps the four cubs close to her. The cubs seem fearful as well as they jump and tremble. Moogly, the lioness, does not meet anyone's eyes as she reaches the broodmother. "Please, they are not safe. He will kill them, do you have room for four more cubs? I do not think I can protect them much longer, he grows angrier every day." Moogly shivers, licking absentmindedly at the one male cub who limps beside her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Quickly standing from her resting place, Peach trots to the thin lioness and the tiny cubs. She stops short, realizing her intensity might startle the already jumpy lions, and her bone piercings jingle with the sudden movements. The other broodmothers look over, surprised to see the Head Broodmother acting so strangely as she was normally a quite sedentary and at times apathetic feline. The tan, spotted lioness lowers her head submissively, to show the newcomers that she was no harm as she approached. Looking between the sickly cubs and the bony lioness they gathered around, she spoke softly, “yes, yes we do. You’re free to leave them here, we will take care of them.” She looks like she wants to say more, white eyes darting back and forth. “If you… ever need help. We’re here. And there’s other shelters like us, too. You understand?” With that, she turned and gestured to the other three grown lions in the cave. She picked up one cub, and each of the others grabbed one too. Carrying them to the back where the others ate and slept, she gave one last glance to the thin lioness at the entrance, wishing a silent prayer for her and any future cubs. 0 players like this post! Mazikeen [Maze] ran jumping into the cave, rather excited and eager to receive new Cubs. She was still quite young, just reaching adulthood she could hardly keep her excitement in. Though death [lionesses name 😅] slowly followed behind, scanning the area, as she stopped by the entrance. Cubs weren’t her strong suiting. Unlike maze, who enjoys loving the cubs, Death enjoyed training them. Making them better. Stronger. Obedient. Respectful. All things she views strictly. “Hey!” Maze called approaching the head broodsmother rather quickly “I heard your giving Cubs? I’d love..” she’ took a moment, looking at the many cubs behind the lioness “I’d love [No Name -https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794160670086]! She so cute!” She called happily before sitting down, adoring the small pink cub. Death noticed maze seemed to be acting quite immature for her age. So she stepped in. ‘ excuse my friend. ‘ she’d lower her head to the brood mother showing her respects. From where she sat, Peach Butterfly listened to the two lionesses, occasionally flicking her ears which made her bone piercings jingle and chime. She yawned wide, her already wrinkled face scrunching up as she opened her mouth. She answered slowly, "hmm, yes. Halcyon is a sweetheart; you can have her. And... oh yes, the other three you mentioned, they aren't ready." She stood up and stretched, yawning again. She seemed quite lazy. "The other three aren't yet weaned, but once they are I can... arrange an escort to your territory. Wait here." She turned and stalked away. Reaching a brightly colored lioness covered in scars, she spoke quietly. Every now and then she'd flick her tail, seemingly in annoyance. The other lioness nodded her head, and Peach turned away again. Trotting over to a group of cubs where Halcyon played, she spoke to the little one, her face softening. After a moment, the cub looked over to where Death and Maze were waiting. She ran over, and Peach Butterfly followed. "Give her a good home, please," the head broodmother said as she watched them leave. (ooc: no worries, there is no cub limit! i just ask that you don't take more than you can take care of^^ halcyon is the only one who is weaned but i will reserve the other three for you and send them once they are ready!) 0 players like this post! Death keenly watched the lionesses murmuring before her, in which her stare soonly got broken to the brood’s approaching. Hesitantly, the cub following. Death nod her head in agreement towards the brood ‘ of course. ‘ before gently grabbing the cub, ‘ till we meet again. ‘ she’d reply before slowly walking out. Maze however seemed to be still quite busy playing with the cubs. From outside the cave you could hear a loud call, causing maze to jump, bolting to the door. She turn back a moment explaining to the lioness, “OH! that’s for me- heh, well, SEE YA!” She’s yelp, before catching up to death. [tysm! See you again soon 😅] 0 players like this post! Like? |

The young king walked hesitantly into the cave, he was barley more then a cub himself. looking sheepishly around at the broodmothers and cubs. He dipped his head shyly revealing the small cub at his heels. He lifted his head and sheepishly pushed the young cub forward. “I took in a few too many cubs when I was kinged, and I’m not sure what to do with this little one. She is quite the handful and my lionesses can’t keep up. I want her to go to a more prepared pride” he glanced around again, His tail swished before he hastily added, “she’s a little shy, but fast to warm up” The small cub looked around curiously but stayed close to the young king eyes wide. Peach let out a sigh before nodding. "Yes, we'll take care of her." Calling back into the cave, a lioness wearing a skirt of leaves comes out, and carries the little one back with the other cubs. Turning back to the young king, she speaks again, "you're free to come back in the future, whether you need to leave more cubs, or if you'd like to take some home." An old king walked in at his side Gray, black, and white adol she. She stood there awkwardly looking around. The king stepped forward."
