Welcome to Athena's Adoption Center!
 We (the broodmothers) take in and adopt out unwanted babies! RULES: 1. DO NOT adopt if the plan is to chase/kill/sell or otherwise. *When adopting, please use NAMES in the RP response, and then put the links at the end. Using links in place of names makes it hard to read, but it helps me keep them in order if you include a link at the end. **BROODMOTHERS ARE NOT ADOPTABLE. Moogly, covered in even more scars and barely able to walk, slinks towards the cave entrance. She does not even wait for anyone to acknowledge her before she shoves three cubs forward and snarls at them. "Go! Into the cave!" There is an undertone of despair and fear beneath her seemingly harsh words. The cubs look back only once and nuzzle the battered lioness before heeding her words and stumbling towards the cave on awkward legs. Moogly lies in the grass and watches to be sure the cubs make it before she begins to leave. Woken from the sound of the battered lioness’s snarls, Peach Butterfly jumped up, quickly looking around. Seeing the cubs huddled just inside the entrance, she called the other four broodmothers to take the cubs and make sure they weren’t terribly injured. Bounding just outside of the cave, she quickly noticed Moogly’s dulled golden fur glowing in the bright sunlight as the scarred lioness hurriedly limped away. Peach watched her until she was out of sight before shaking her head to clear her mind, then turning back into the cave to focus on the cubs. (ooc: i went to your den so i could see what moogly looked like and i read her bio and please tell moogly i love her and she deserves the world) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Peacock, the broodmother of the Othawa's herd, arrives with her head bowed, looking back from time to time expecting four cubs. She sighs and goes to look for one of the puppies Which was late. Peacock and the four puppies behind her go with Peach -¡Hello! Peach looks behind Peacock and sees the four cubs. She smiles at them before facing Peacock and speaking, "yes, we can take care of them. Leave them here, and my broodmothers will take care of them." She calls out into the cave, and four lionesses stand and head towards Peacock and the cubs she brought. Each of them grabs a cub and carries it to the back of the cave. Peach stands up and stretches, "thank you for bringing them here, instead of leaving them at the Tree." She dips her head to Peacock and then follows the others to the back of the cave with the cubs. Akuma, a shaman of Solis' pride, carefully surveyed the den. She flicked her tail irritably as a few cubs tumbled in front of her path. Padding deeper into the den, Akuma spots a calm, sweet female cub with dove gray fur and glowing pink eyes. Parch looks back at Akuma, smiling and flicking her tail. Akuma turns around to greet the broodmother, Peach Butterfly. "Hello, may I adopt this little one, Parch I believe is her name?" Peach Butterfly flicks her ears, bone earrings jangling. She slowly looks between Parch and Akuma, then answers, "yes, take her. Thank you," she yawns before continuing, "take care of her, would you?" Nudging the little cub, she then turns away and goes back to sleep. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Making the trek this time was a struggle for Moogly. She limped forward, crashing into things on her left side due to her blind eye. "Come along, come along." She whispered in rushed and fearful tones. Her voice shook and cracked, she constantly looked back to be sure the four cubs were still following her. They had no names, only called by their traits in tones of disappointment from the King of their pride. Moogly once again did not enter the clearing around the nursery. She laid down for a rest and watched as the cubs stumbled forward. One of them looked back, a girl with black fur and a blue sheen on her back. "Go on, little one. You'll be okay now, you'll be safe now." A single tear trailed down her scarred face as she watched the cubs. She only left when she was sure that they had been spotted by at least one broodmother. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Again, Peach watched the strange lioness limp away. At first, she stood, considering chasing after her. Maybe she could give her a safer place to stay, or give her food, or anything she could to help. It's why the shelter was made, to keep lions safe. Deciding against it, she shook her head and sighed. Peach hoped she'd be safe, or at the very least that she wouldn't be even more injured the next time they met. The other broodmothers watched Peach Butterfly as she stood at the mouth of the cave, they'd seen Moogly once before and could guess why Peach was so agitated. They looked away as Peach turned towards them, trotting over and quickly looking over the cubs. (ooc: coy fish is gonna catch these hands if he doesnt leave moogly alone /j) 0 players like this post! @Avani (#258627) Hearing Mousai speaking, Peach trots over and looks over at the cubs. “Yes, of course, take them.” The two cubs followed Mousai out of the cave before the adolescent and cub walked in.
