Hey! So, February has a lot of sexual art. For many users, it is awkward, uncomfortable, and/or disturbing to see. I am proposing an in-game toggle that just removes the art from these encounters but keeps the text. So, for instance, the mating achromatic and melanistic lion decor would just show the explore biome background and no character art, but would still show the usual text and options. I am aware that there is a tutorial on the wiki (https://www.lioden.wiki/blocking-images) to block the sexual images. However, many other users probably are not, and it is not stated on any event posts or on the event page. This method also requires an extension to be downloaded, and will not work on mobile. I know several lioden players, myself included, that play on mobile and would really like to stop seeing all that.  Yes, this game is 16+, and no genitalia is shown, but users can still feel uncomfortable with it. There are already in-game toggles for a variety of things, like pregnant images, custom decor on lions, and of course the marking censor. There is also the opportunity to opt out of the event entirely, but seeing as not all of the encounters are sexual and the event is a major money maker for players I don't think it's a valid option for people just interested in losing the sexual art. To restate - a toggle, perhaps on the event page or on your user profile, that gives the option to remove sexual images from explore encounters. If not that, a link to the wiki page about blocking images would be nice on the news post or event page. I'm not sure how difficult this idea would be to implement, but I think it might be a good thing to think on for future Feb events! Additional suggestions! From Lunarmoon - the mating encounter is hidden behind a bush From Taevali - the mating encounter is replaced by a black screen or a nsfw warning to prevent the player from skipping over the encounter by accident From Fern [side] - this toggle or another one would also block out extreme gore like that seen in the March event To restate, this would be a TOGGLE, so users that prefer the explore to be the same would simply not turn the toggle on. It would not affect their gameplay in any way. |

It's not just that players don't want to see it though, chamango, Lioden is ultimately primarily a mobile game - I know more mobile players than desktop players, and that means that there is a chance that these 16+ encounters can be seen by actual children, especially in February when you're checking your account every 15 minutes to slap and flirt. It doesn't matter how careful you are, it can happen. I'm not sure how much legal trouble you can get in for showing a child content not suitable for their age, but I'm sure it's pretty severe, even if you don't mean to do it.  0 players like this post! Chamango, people have the option to use or not use items, I personally will as there is a benefit to having a breeding item regardless of the art. I would like the choice to not gain 1 HS from seeing lions and hyenas mounting each other and instead get any of the other encounters in it's place. 0 players like this post! Like? |

If lioden would get in legal trouble for showing non graphic depictions of animals mating(and no, they are not graphic), then where are the animal documentary lawsuits showing much more graphic depictions of animals breeding? Idk maybe I'm biased because I grew up watching all sorts of animal documentaries and also breed reptiles IRL so while I don't personally care since it's all just nature and not a big deal to me whether the images get a spoilered option or not, to think that any of the 5 encounters on lioden in question would get you into legal trouble is 1) bizarre, because actual real animals mating is not going to get you into legal trouble as an adult if your kid sees it, and 2) not their(Liodens) responsibility. You are the adult(or teen of legal age to play lioden per their terms), it's your responsibility to make sure minors aren't being exposed to things they shouldn't. Acting like the event encounters are actual p*rn is a huge overreaction in my opinion. Like I understand they make people uncomfortable, my mom hated it when animals mated in documentaries lol. I'm not saying there should or shouldn't be an optional toggle available for those on mobile or anyone who wants them in general, but to insinuate it is actual porn that's going to get people in trouble if minors, who aren't even allowed on the site in the first place, is a gross exaggeration in my opinion. 0 players like this post! That's a fair rebuttal; however, remember there are multiple countries which may have different laws from your own. Whilst your country may be laxer about it; not all are. Lioden is worldwide - Australia, America, Eurasia, etc. Whilst yes, I agree, it is our responsibility to control our devices etc but lots of us want to be able to play safely in public places such as on our devices, or even the adults amongst us who do play at work on their breaks for example. My last boss had a rule about "any NSFW graphical content, implied or not" that could cost someone their job, in fact I watched one of my co-workers get the sack because of an implied nsfw meme! 0 players like this post! Perhaps age sweeps are in order then? They weren't uncommon on a lot of similar sites (like the Chatlands). Users can report someone they suspect of being underage and the mods could require proof of age. But in addition to explore image blockers, they should also offer text censors. Maybe just "You encounter two lions. Would you like to fight or run?" The decor should also have an image blocker, perhaps it could extend to a year round one? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah that's why I'm not necessarily against a toggle or anything being implemented, if possible, though I don't think it is necessary which is why I don't support the suggestion. It would also have to be implemented in April for consistency, due to the rabbits in explore. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe the simplest solution would be to create an "explore encounter art/text toggle" with a selection of checkboxes for players to choose. The options could be; Toggle off sexual encounter art. [February] Toggle off explore text with sexual implications [February] Toggle off poaching encounter art. [March] Toggle off xyz [month] Just as a mutual ground. For example, some may be fine with the sexual implied art, but not with the poaching for example - gore of any kind distresses me a lot, its why I barely explore anyway. 1 player likes this post! But adult and of age users can still not want to see the art, and this wouldn't prevent their peers from accidentally seeing it if somebody plays it in public. I'd be up for a text censor as well, maybe a separate toggle option I don't think that the decor should be included in the explore mating censor toggle though, as it's at most suggestive. Also yes I'd like it to extend to April as well, but April only has one encounter and isn't as sex focused as Feb so I didn't mention it It might not be necessary to some users, which is why I'm suggesting a toggle that is optional to use. 1 player likes this post! I don't understand why anyone is so upset that people are asking for a toggle for something that makes a fairly large amount of users uncomfortable. You don't have to use the toggle, but you can still respect that other people want and would use it. I support this. support! we already have toggles them hide certain features anywho, and the ability to disable animation in events in game so people can still access the event, i think some form of hide-the-weird encounters would be useful to many users! i'm not particularly bothered by it but i also just zoom through encounters without paying any mind (ft my Many skipped blood beetles from last year  ),, I think people should be allowed to benefit from a highly profitable event with the ability to turn off certain things that could make some situations awkward, especially since we can experience other events with certain features turned off too 0 players like this post! Whole hearted support. I don't understand how people wanting to block the images and still benefit from the event is a big contentious issue. I also would love to have this extend to more than just the Feburary images - months like Janurary and March also contain some fairly triggering images that I'm sure people would appreciate being able to block. We already have a feature to allow people to block markings, why not extend it to event images and even decor/items? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don’t think I would personally use it if I was alone, but if I were on break at work during February and wanted to use my explore energy then I would DEFINITELY want this to be a thing. I don’t even want to imagine what would happen if my manager came up to me to ask something rq and saw lions screwing on my phone while I was on break  100% support. I don’t think it would be able to be implemented this year since we’ve only got like 2 weeks til Feb starts, but I really hope it’s added next year 0 players like this post! Like? |
