He did not, although he did pick up vit 2 in a different spot than his dad because of her.

Parents of the onyx rosettes, yes, but it was just White Hair Band and Onyx Vit, none of the supposed felid markings. From a different thread, some people suggest that combinations including undermarkings can throw rosettes, and a few of the Vits mark the whole underside in white, so it's more likely something to do with that.

In doing more research, vitiligo does appear naturally in both domestic cats and some big cats, as well as humans. ([LINK] and [LINK] Now this may not totally count as a felidae-type marking, but it does make some sense.

If i'm remembering correctly, the admins have also said that rosette/inv rosette is NOT random. So, I think that rosette should have some relevance to the factor that passes it. It just makes sense. Perhaps it relates to speckling or spotting in some capacities.

These are all just theories, please don't come at me sideways. I'm sorry if you're not trying to be disrespectful, but you're kind of coming off a bit rude.

I apologize that you think I've been being rude, I'm certainly not trying to. I do try to be blunt in online communications so I'm very clear, since I cannot be sure any single person uses English as a daily language.

I'm simply trying to point out a few cases where Rosettes have had non-"felidae" markings. Neat that vitiligo occurs in domestic cats though. However, I do think that by using the definition of any marking or pattern that can occur in wild or domestic cats, you'll find that means every marking can pass a rosette - except for Quagga, Zebra, and possibly Shepherd (although cats can certainly have markings that look much like this too). Lioden's markings are mostly designed after existing cat markings, after all.

What I think we should take notice of is first: the marking slot the rosette appeared. My Queen doesn't has a marking on that slot. my king's marking there is Bloodbourne belly.

My personal Thoughts/Theory:
I came to the thought that maybe the Quagga marking of the female, mixed with one of my King's rosettes (mottled and onyx) could have triggered the red heavy rosette.
Why?:
Well the Quagga is an RMA marking (as well as most rosettes exept mottled are). The Copal is a redd-ish color.
Also I looked through the cubs heritage and found out that one of the grandgrand parents had red lace (the only red marking I spotted there) Maybe it could also have something to do with recessive genes?
That are my current thoughts on it :3

TL;DR You know what I'm noticing as well? Each of mine have 1 or both parents with raffle markings. I found it interesting that on the Wiki you can find raffle markings on the same wiki page as the rosette markings and an ESPECIALLY interesting description I can't put my finger on... "Slots do matter for breeding and projects, so if you find out you have a lion with a raffle marking in a very rare slot, you may just be sitting on a huge pile of Gold Beetles!"

Am I forgetting something because it is 3AM and I have been searching for the answers to rosettes for almost 2 hours now or is this something of note? Rare slots? Projects? I can understand the feline theory but I wonder if the admins would update the wiki with the answer to the code if it had been discovered 4-5 months ago (or we just have not 100% proven it yet for the wiki to update.)

P.S. Can someone provide proof/confirmation that admins have stated that grandparents do not weigh in on rosettes? That'd make this easier to figure out otherwise we have a LOT of data to collect.
