New Trivia rewards!
Do you remember when you guys voted on the sphinx mask version? I 'member! Three new Trivia rewards can be won in the Trivia game! The Sphinx Mask can be won only in Hard mode, but the other two, Lamassu Idol and Skeletal Sphinx, can be won in any category.
TOS QUIZ! By popular suggestion, we have added a compulsary Terms Quiz. There are 9 fairly basic questions to answer about the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct, and in order to access the game all new and existing members must complete the quiz first. We are hoping this should help with remembering some of the more important rules for newer members, and act as a nice refresher for our veterans  Suggestion
GAME TWEAKS: * Suggestion - Cubs sired will display in birth order (Newer cubs will appear on the bottom of the list). * Suggestion - Cubs bred will list mutations! * Suggestion - Hunter/Non-Hunter role has been added for Lionesses. Please note that you will need to set lionesses as Hunter before you are able to use them in hunts. *Update* - all lionesses marked as "Hunter" now show a hunting icon in their Status section on den/cave pages
* Suggestion - During stud requests you can now attach a message much like you can with a Transfer/Gift! * Suggestion - Longer Clan Raffle names will be allowed now! * Suggestion - You can now add/view notes on your blocked user list. * Some tweaks to tidy up the Hunting page have been made, reducing the amount of information displayed where you select lions and making a mini-FAQ at the bottom of the page. * The Allies page has also been broken down into 3 tabs - Allies, Pending Requests and Foes. * We have updated the Activation page for new members (and those of you who change your email address). You can now be logged in when activating your account. If you entered your email address incorrectly you can now change the email address on the account before you activate it, saving delays of having to contact our staff to have the email changed. * Inverted Rosette Gold will join the usual inverted rosette genetics today!
Updated bases & upcoming markings for: All main lions, All poses, Primal Smilus (adult), Primal Felis (adults), Sirenomelia, Lipomatosis, Cyclopia, Maneless, Female Leopon, Two Heads Fossil, Nuummite & Penumbra bases should be fully updated for all mutations within 24 hours. Further mutation files updates will resume next week!
**BUG FIX** - Raffled lions getting stuck should be *really* fixed. If you have anything stuck, PM Katze #3 for help! Possible new genetic group discussion - Please continue giving your input. There's a suggestion that inspired me to consider few options for a new genetic group called "Iridescent". I gave it a few deep thoughts and conversed with the admins and I figured it is best to create a separate, new thread for just discussion and your thoughts to gather as input. Few options I thought of are: - New Color Group (like Black, Cream etc) and move just a few bases such as Cinnabar etc + add new ones. Moved bases would be polled and would have breeding boosts with their previous colour groups. - New Shading Group (like Solid and Countershaded) and just move the colours like green, blue etc to new shade to make the breeding within same colour group easier for natural and colorbomb breeders. Discussion Thread with notes. Please do not discuss this idea in the News comments.

Exactly. I know they're hunters, they are in my hunting parties, I use them to hunt with, so why do I need a spear next to their names!? I have never liked any of the symbols as I prefer text over an icon, but I appreciate that others like them so I've never complained about them. I feed and play with my lionesses asap just to avoid the anger and hunger symbols. I don't even like broodmothers with the nursing symbol, but I'm willing to live with it- I just shove them in a cave I keep my crap cubs in. But it's on every lion and I can't even toggle it. Whyyy?? I'm not a fan of the hunter update. That's like hunting parties...but with extra steps. I don't understand the defense for it either. I understand the suggestion had over 300 supporting it, but to me it makes no logical sense to be implemented the way it currently is. A toggle on the party page would have been better, or a more thorough guide on how to organize hunting parties. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I get what people are saying that this new hunting thing makes everything more organized, but it's just so tedious and annoying. The hunting parties kept it organized enough. If you didn't want a lioness to hunt, then you just didn't add her to a hunting party. Simple. I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree with the claim that hunting parties were enough. Since nested lionesses cannot hunt, you either need to have some lions outside of a party to supplement it, completely disband the party and recreate it only to repeat this after the birth, never breed your hunters, or be content with not sending out 5 lionesses every time. This option provides an uncluttered list of available hunters, and completely removes the risk of hunting a lioness that is meant to be sex changed. If people want to make this optional, I will support them. But this feature solves problems that hunting parties don't. Removing it would be a step backwards. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well sure, you're not wrong. But if I am given the choice between inconveniencing myself once vs every day for peace of mind, I'm picking once. I was surprised when I logged in and had to take a quiz, but I got everything right on the first try, so yay!  I like that idea, it's really smart and a pretty fun way to make sure that everyone knows the rules. I really like all of the new changes. When I first saw that I couldn't send any of my lionesses on a hunt, I thought I'd made a mistake and they'd all run away or something! Haha omg! x'D I'm relieved that it was only a new feature being added, and I'm happy for it because now my list of hunters won't be crazy long and will only include the ones that I want it to display. Also to add in to what others were saying regarding Hunting Parties... I tried using hunting parties before, but I hated it because whenever I'd add a lioness to a party, she'd go into heat and get pregnant eventually and then I'd have to replace her with someone... Only it wouldn't let me just add or replace a lioness in the party, so I'd have to completely disband the entire thing and then I'd forget who I even had in that one (I have almost 100 lionesses at any given time, so it's not so easy to remember who was in it, at least not for me). So basically, all it ever did was frustrate me to the point where I completely stopped using the hunting party feature and deemed it useless.  I even made a suggestion regarding improving the hunting party feature, by allowing us to add or remove lionesses at will rather than just disband the whole thing or replace one of them temporarily, but this new addition makes that irrelevant since it solves the entire problem for me.  That is why I love the new way (how it is now). I'd be ok with them adding an option to toggle the feature off, but imo they tweaked a feature that was pretty much broken and badly needed to be fixed. And I'm very happy that they did. Also, since you can still make and use hunting parties, I don't see why anyone should have a problem with the new addition. The only thing I would suggest is adding another button to the Hunting page so we can also remove all lionesses as Hunters. I added them all because I was in a hurry and now it's going to take forever to go through and manually remove all of them... <_<;; 0 players like this post! All I'm saying is that it's a real pain in the arse to have to go back and re-create my hunting parties after getting everything how I liked it. There should have been some warning before this update. First off I was freaked out when I saw I had no lionesses to hunt, second really annoyed that I had to add them back one at a time. For a change this involved there should have been some explaining done first, and maybe a trial period to see how everyone liked it. To add on: I think most players have more hunting lionesses than not-hunting lionesses. It would make much more sense to have this be opt-out rather than opt-in, which is what quite a few people have been saying here. 0 players like this post! The rules suggestion was nice and all but when you happen to click one wrong it should just tell you what's right and not make you start all over. The quiz had me seriously freaked out at first. It's not a bad idea, but I think it could've been executed a bit better, at least with some kind of warning ahead of time. When it popped up, I thought I was in trouble for some reason. Anyway, I have to agree, I'm not a fan of this hunting update. Sure, it's nice to be able to have lionesses who specifically won't hunt, I'm all for that, but again, it's the execution. I realize there is a button to have them all available for hunting, I actually do have a few I don't want hunting. So, either way, the process to get it all straightened out is rather tedious. I have around 20 lions, and I seriously pity those with upwards of 60 who had to manually add their lionesses. I've seen it proposed earlier in this thread, but only once or twice, and I believe it bears repeating. Instead of removing this feature, either have the option to toggle it OR instead of lionesses defaultly being ineligible for hunting, have them labeled as hunters automatically. That way, you don't have to go and mark your adols, you don't have to go and mark your adults, everyone can hunt by default and if you plan on sex changing that lioness or just don't want her to hunt, that's when you go and edit her information. I believe this system would be far more convenient and avoid the future tedious hassle of having to specifically label your lionesses as hunters. 0 players like this post! Like? |
