Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Border|Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaw snuck through Dawnclans territory, she was not keen on getting spotted and then scolded by a warrior. Moving through the trees, the apprentice was on light paws. Even though she tried to blend in, the young she-cats pelt stuck out though the browns and greens of the forest around her. Flamepaw paused, as her nose picked up the scent of a mouse. Dropping to a perfect hunter's crouch, the ginger tabby she-cat creeped forward. Her paws lightly stepped over the forest floor, making sure to avoid any sticks of patches of fallen leaves. Spotting a small animal infront of her, Flamepaw paused. Moving around, so that she was down wind from her prey, Flamepaw lay down. The mouse had no clue that she was there. Leaping forward, Flamepaw pounced on the small animal and snapped its neck.
Lifting up her catch in her jaws, Flamepaw had a proud glint in her eyes. Looking around her, Flamepaw was amazed how close she had gotten to the clan's bordes. Flamepaw shrugged her shoulders, well it did not really matter. Dawnclan and Duskclan had never really been on good terms, but the clans held a tens piece right now. Peering down at her prey, the she-cats mouth watered. Her stomach grumbled, she'd eat her prey now and hunt something bigger for the clan on her way back. Laying down beneath a nearby Mountain-laurel bush, the ginger tabby she-cat started to eat her prey.
Flamepaw had almost eaten all of her prey, when a white and gray pelt flash made her look up. Had a Dawnclan warrior come by and noticed her? Subconsciously, the ginger apprentice creeped deeper into the bush. Peering out from her hiding place, Flamepaws breath caught in the throat. She had seen the other cat on Duskclans side of the border, fox dung. The apprentice thought, for a few second a fear gripped the apprentice. Has she maybe crossed the border? In this area the apprentice always found it a bit hard to tell. As her dark blue eyes searched the border, for a flash of the white and gray pelt again. Flamepaws eyes soon fell on a small Duskclan cat, it seemed to be an apprentice. Flmepaw got to her paws and slunk around in the shadows, she was curious and wanted to get a better look.

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions:
Harepaw, Open

Dustpelt had nearly given up hope on finding his apprentice when he heard her familiar tones, but from above. Curious, he twitched his gaze upwards as her form came up to him, looking a little ruffled. At her words, he felt a prickle of embarassement in his pelt. It was true, he wasn't the most attentive mentor, but not for lack of caring. The tom just had a way of darting from idea to idea without much planning, and his old habits from his own apprenticeship still showed their colors ocassionally.
"Hah sorry. " He gave a faint cough, running his tongue over his chest a few times to regain his composure.
"Yep. I don't know about you but I can't stand another moment in this camp. I figure we can get some agility practice in, and I'm sure the clan wouldn't be against a mouse or two if we found some." He purred at how great his idea was, and leaned slightly to give the smaller cat a nudge on the shoulder.
"Besides, the Two-leg nest place is always really interesting this time of the season." There was a mischievous glint in his eyes and his tone had lowered. Technically Blackstar hadn't banned the clan from their Southern border, though it had been lacking in the patrol lineup as of late.
"So I hope you ate because, its time to go!" His voice grew louder once again, and he bounced on his paws before trotting towards the camp entrance, pausing only for a moment to peer over his narrow shoulder.
"and my adventures aren't strange." He mused, before slipping through the bracken to wait at a fallen log for Harepaw. He knew the perfect path to train her paws to adapt to any situation.

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 7 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

His heart stopped as a sound far behind him caught his attention. He was only an apprentice and hadn't been taught to fight yet. Gulping, Mothpaw crouched low and moved forward. A flash of ginger caught his eye and he froze, fear pouring off of his pelt. But only for just a heartbeat did he freeze before he called out. "Hey, I can see you Flamepaw!" He recognized her scent from an encounter they had a while ago. "You're in Dawnclan territory mouse brain." Mouthpaw rose to his paws to face the shecast, not sure if she would attack the him.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Dustpelt [Direct]

She felt her whiskers twitch in slight annoyance. She had been peacefully cat-watching, making up scenarios in her head and weaving fake stories. But, maybe this was the better option. She could get moving and maybe work on her legs as they were her greatest asset currently. She had a slight obsession with speed, and it wasn’t exactly unknown. Many found it humorous, watching her sprint as fast and as long as possible across stretches of land.

“Sure, sure. I mean, I’m already light on my paws anyway, so what’s the harm.” With a shrug and a weak swat at the male in response to his nudge, she shuffled her paws and lifted her head, eyes showing interest at the mention of Two-leg nest. She always had an acute interest in two-legs, but only for study. They scared her more than dogs. More so because they seemed to have sentient thought; something other than bite, shred, eat.

A slanted, half-smile twitched upon her maw at the familiar look in her mentor’s eyes, one she slowly began to mirror. Her sleek tail waved casually now, only to freeze as he returned to his obnoxious, jovial announcing. Her smile fell and her eye twitched. “I… I mean, no, but that’s fine I guess.” She mumbled, following after him at a dragged pace. “Let’s not give the growing she-cat food, that’s fine. I believe that would be called ‘apprentice endangerment’, but I guess it’s fine.” She continued her comical mutterings, her head dipped low and bobbing with her words.

With a deep breath she lift her head and pouted, narrowing her eyes at her mentor. “Oh yes they are. Don’t lie.” Her nose twitched as she lifted herself onto the log he stood by. “You and Weaselflight do some weird stuff. Which I honestly didn’t expect from him, but you probably coerced him when you toms were younger.” She gave him an accusing look before whacking him playfully with her tail.

Gingerstar | DawnClan Leader | 48 Moons | Mollie | Camp | Scorchwing; Larkclaw; [NPCs] Embergaze; Sunspots

Gingerstar's stout, chronically-irritated form crouched almost unnoticed upon her perch. The High-Root was quite a sight to be seen, a strange twisted root that arched up high off the ground before twisting back through a few others and back into the ground. At it's peak, it made her a perfect perch for announcing things- or, more commonly, for assigning duties.

Which, incidentally, was what she was going to do now. She rose sharply, stalking forwards a few steps so that she stood higher above the rest of the camp at a good enough vantage point to be listened to. Her voice rose, cresting across the camp, "DawnClan cats, morning has come again and it is time to send out another patrol to survey the DuskClan border. Scorchwing, do me the favor of running this little expedition- bring Larkclaw with you if you will."

She paused a moment, looking over the rest of the cats. It took her a moment to decide what to do before she spoke again, still loudly and authoritatively. Sunspots and Embergaze," she ordered firmly, not at all phased by addressing her mother, "I need you two to go out on a hunting patrol across the northern part of the territory. Stay away from anything that smells too strongly of this forsaken stench that the territory is full of right now. We don't need another incident."

She gave out a few more offhanded orders, [all to NPCs], about later day rounds going down towards the southern territory and another extra DuskClan border patrol that would leave around the time that night began to fall. She could feel the harsh air of the morning, brisk against her fur, and the feeling all around them was tense with suspense. They had yet to identify Mousefur's killer, and it hung about them all heavily. Her multi-hued orbs could see Cloudburst's mostly white frame tucked down below beside Hornetpaw, and it angered her that she had still not identified the truth of the mollie's mate's murder. Orders were all she could give at the moment, and she hoped for the best.
If you ask too many questions, or seek too much approval, nothing ever gets done

Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | Camp | Dustpelt; Harepaw; Redeye [ID]

Weaselflight's off-colored ginger cream pelt was tucked away in the back corner of the DuskClan camp, his bright yellow-green gaze scanning the expanse of their 'family' in silence. He blinked silently when Dustpelt called his apprentice [very loudly and very drawn out... a very Dustpelt yell all in all], slowly tilting over so that he then laid on his side. He wasn't really sure what to do, honestly... a lonely, shy little creature like him didn't exactly do well without orders. Maybe he should head out and do some hunting? But unless someone told him to, he didn't know if it would be welcomed.

He swished his large fluffy tail across the ground, curling it around him to pluck at some burrs before lashing it away again. He anxiously turned his gaze back out across the camp, waiting for an order or rather to be yelled at. You... didn't really have to yell at Weaselflight for him to consider it yelling. Anyone who spoke to him who wasn't Dustpelt was viable to be 'yelling', even in normal conversation. Thus was the way of the young anxious tom- nothing was more terrifying than the voice of a clanmate who was supposed to be close to him. He hadn't eaten yet that day, but he wasn't particularly hungry at the same time either. Still he was too anxious to eat from the deal of the human traps. Redeye's reaction was one that he certainly had not wanted to witness, and it amped up his already rampant anxiety into something more pronounced.
Better safe than sorry

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions:
Harepaw, Open

Dustpelt all but ignored Harepaw's mutterings until she grew close enough.
"Learning to work hungry is good. Leaf-bare comes fast, and in the height of Green-leaf its easy to forget that." for a moment, he actually looked serious, a flash of memory glazing his eyes ever so briefly before his head gave a sharp shake and he looked at Harepaw with amusement.
"Weaselflight and I trained together, and have a similar past. You could learn a thing or two from us." He mused, accepting the tail whack. True, they were both young but he and Weaselflight had been close during their time in the clan, both not born in its dens but outsiders having been accepted by the old leader before he passed. It had been rough, and even now Dustpelt sometimes wondered why he had actually stayed. It definitely wasn't for the cold, hunger, and pain.

A soft draft of wind tussled his fur and Dustpelt glanced at the sky, watching the tree leaves shift and dance the gray light downward. It wasn't the time to get lost in the past. With that he bounded onto the small fallen log, turning with a flourish to his apprentice.
"I expect you to keep up." His eyes had grown focused, and his long legs crouched briefly, knowing it would be a challenge for Harepaw, Dustpelt's long and lean form giving him some of the top speed in the clan, but one he fully expected to see her pass with flying colors.
"If you do, the prey is on me." With that, he kicked off from the log with a burst of tree bark where his claws scraped it free.

All the energy that was pent up in the young tom burst forward with the run, he darted over tree roots and through gaps in bracken that lightly teased at his fur without hesitation, When a small river trickled past he didn't pause before leaping, his back paws just catching the edge of the water. He didn't make the path easy, the dense forest filled with rocks and uneven ground but he only started to slow when he could hear the sound of the two-leg nest site, skidding to a halt at the base of a large oak tree, his chest heaving and his fur windblown the exhilaration of the run now fading and his attention widening, watching for Harepaw's familiar pelt.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Border|Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaws ear twitched, as she recognised the young cats voice. The ginger tabby she-cat let out an inward sigh of relief, it was only.... Mothpaw? If she remembered correctly, that was the Duskclan medicine cat apprentices name. The young she-cat was glad that it had not been a young warrior or an apprentice, because an apprentice normally meant that a warrior was close by.
Stepping out of the shadows, Flamepaw walked over to the medicine cat apprentice. Sitting down close to the young tom, but not too close, Flamepaw wrapped her tail around herself. The ginger she-cat decided to go for aloof and quiet, when facing someone that she did not know that well. "What is a medicine cat apprentice doing outside, without your mentor or a warrior?", Flamepaw asked. The she-cats blue eyes looked over the young medicine cat apprentice, before her. A purr almost escaped the fiery pelted she-cat, what had gotten into her?

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 7 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

Mothpaw smiled and visibly relaxed. He sat down alongside her and also wrapped his tail neatly over his paws. His whiskers twitched proudly as Flamepaw asked why he was out by himself, his head lifted high as she answered. "I have faith that Starclan will protect me," he mewed with a gentle smile. His eyes met hers for just a moment before he looked away to study his paws. "And why are you out here without your mentor huh?" Mothpaw gave the apprentice a playful nudge, his blue eyes meeting hers again. "Arent you afraid of Starclan.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: |Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaw snorted, at Mothpaws comment, about her being out alone. Placing her paws closer together, so that she appear taller, Flamepaw said, "I am already 13 moons old, so I'm aloud to go out and hunt alone." This was of course a blatant lie, not only was an apprentice never aloud outside without a mentor, but right now no apprentice was allowed outside without two warriors. Flamepaw gave Mothpaw a nudge on the shoulder back, "And what's with this whole, I believe in Starclans protection, huh?", Flamepaw teased. "I know you're training to be a medicine cat, but you do still need to use your brain", the ginger tabby apprentice continued.
Remembering her prey, Flamepaw quickly got up and walked over to the bush. Grabbing the rest of her mouse, she brought it over to Mothpaw. "Here, I probably gave you quite a fright just now, suddenly appearing like that", Flamepaw said, sheepishly apologising. Wait, why was she apologizing?

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 7 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

Mothpaw settled down in the long grass and listened to there other speak. He couldn't help but think about how cute her snort was. That thought snapped the tom back to his senses for a moment, before Flamepaw brought him over a half-eaten mouse. "Wow, 13 moons already? You'll be made a warrior before you know it!" Mothpaw sat up and took the mouse happily, "What type of medicine cat would I be if I didn't believe in Starclan! One day they'll send me prophecies." The toms blue eyes were shining with excitement at the thought of personally speaking to his ancestors. Mothpaw let out his own snort at being cal!ed frighten when he saw Flamepaw. "I'm not a kit you know, I don't get scared of anything." He gave the she-cat a playful and sly smile before speaking again. "I've been taught to always stay calm and to asses." The Duskclan tom bent down and took a bite from the rodent, "How'd you know mice are my favorite." He purred taking another bite.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: border|Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaw beamed, as Mothpaw said that she would be made a warrior soon. A laugh escaped her though, when Mothpaw said that he was afraid of nothing. "Then I really do hope that Starclan watches over you, cause you're going to need it", Flamepaw said, there was a slight sigh to her voice. Toms were always such mouse brains, the young she-cat thought.
The ginger she-cat gave a shrug, at Mothpaws last words. To be honest she had not known, but it made herself feel good, to get such thanks from the young tom. "You just started your training, right?", Flamepaw said, letter her fore paws slide out, Flamepaw lay on the ground next to Mothpaw. "Is Fleetwhisper hard on you?", the ginger she-cat asked, she was proud of herself for remembering the Duskclan medicine cats name. Scrapping her claws in the ground, the she-cat made little lines in the earth. This felt nice. It was strange, somehow being beside Mothpaw was even more relaxing and comforting, then even when she was with Foxpaw. A sligh bush formed on Flamepaws muzzle, though it almost disappears in her fiery pelt. The white tip of Flamepaws tail twitched, she was happy. In the back of her mind the young she-cat knew though, that they would have to leave again soon.

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons |:| Male |:| DuskClan |:| Warrior
Location - Camp |:| Mentions - Vulturepaw, Owlfeather, Wesealflight, Blackstar (Directly) / Sootpaw, Dustpelt, Harepaw (Indirectly)

Redeye listened idly as Owlfeather explained the plan, simply nodding as the deputy departed. Dipping his head in farewell to Blackstar, he turned and padded back to his own apprentice. "Well, it's not quite a hunting patrol, but I'm sure you'll learn a lot regardless. Sootpaw is getting his final assignment, we're to shadow him. Are you ready?" As he waited on Vulturepaw's answer he scanned the camp, curious if anyone else would join them or it would simply be the four of them. Two warriors and two apprentices weren't much of a patrol.

Dustpelt calling for Harepaw was hard to miss, but it appeared the pair already had a task to complete. Before long his gaze landed on Wesealflight, the other tom looking seemingly lost over what to do with himself. He waited until he caught the anxious warrior's eye before flicking his tail to beckon him closer. "I'm sure Owlfeather wouldn't mind if you joined our patrol." he would invite if Weaselflight wandered over, keeping his voice light and carefree. "Sootpaw is being assessed, but I assume there will still be some actual patrolling involved as well once that's finished."

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 13 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

Mothpaw buried the bones of the mouse, chuckling at the she-cats words. Hearing her laugh at his words made him feel proud, though, he didn't know why. He never really cared if others found him funny. "I'll probably become a certified medicine cwt in no time!" He paused, looking away as Flamepaw laid down beside him. Their pelts were just inches apart. He could feel the warmth of her ginger fur, and that made him nervous. Pushing the thoughts asides Mothpaw thought about her question. “Fleetwhisper is…” it was hard to describe his mentor to any cat outside of his clan. “He barely talks to me and makes me watch him work in silence.” The apprentice snorted, he didn't want to talk about his mentor...He wanted to talk to her. A faint blush spread across his face, then it spread through his body. “I don't want to talk about him. How's your training going?” Mothpaw felt a bit of sadness in his heart. Soon, they would have to part ways.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Dustpelt [Direct]

Harepaw all but frowned at him, her tail twitching to and fro. She ignored his far off look with ease, figuring he wanted to keep such things to himself. “And what would I have to learn from an overly shy tom and a hyperactive one who rolls in dust?” Her words sounded harsh, but the natural softness of her eyes said differently. She knew his words were true, and she did have a lot to learn. The expectancy of failure was ever looming and weighing down on her shoulders. She needed all the help she could get to succeed.

Harepaw inhaled deeply, releasing a slow breath as she prepared for this… agility test. She knew not of what to expect. Dustpelt seemed to chose the path for a reason, and she knew he wasn’t one to coddle her. She nodded wordlessly and kept her eyes on him. The softness in her eyes left, being replaced by pure concentration. Even the tom appeared more focused, which sent a spiral of questions leaping to the front of her mind. Her eyes darted down to his bent legs and she took another deep breath, just as Dustpelt lunged forward into the path of unknown obstacles, his last words her only encouragement.

Harepaw followed behind, her muscular legs pumping beneath her, the leaf-covered ground flying beneath her paws. The wind whistled like a flock of songbirds in her ears and she felt the familiar rush of freedom move alongside her. This time, however, it was… different. She could feel the pressure of something else, as if she wasn’t quite alone. For a moment she wondered if Weaselflight had decided to follow them, but she knew that wasn’t true. It was as if someone was guiding her, like when Cherrysong would lead her through the Clan when she was just a waddling ball of pouts and fluff. She felt as if her body was weightless, gliding across the uneven earth like she was a bird in flight. The world seemed so much more alive and clear with a new found clarity and long-lasting assurance that seeped from her paws.

A relieved, spirited smile spread across her maw. She could see Dustpelt clearly now. No longer was it the blur of his pelt or the tip of his tail, but half his frame. Roots didn’t dwindle her breakneck speed and nimble paws found a clear path for her to travel. She could barely feel the bracken that tugged at her pelt. The river was easily cleared, her paws landing at the very edge of the fast-paced water. Her mentor was still within view, giving her a burst of reassurance. How fast was she going, to be able to keep up with a trained warrior?

She slowed reluctantly, listening to the clear and distinct sounds of the Two-leg’s place. She blinked, eyes on the dirt floor, feeling the presence that had guided her strip away, little by little. She looked up, feeling disappointed, just barely catching the shine of a silvery pelt in the distance, departing to the far off trees, disappearing beneath a patch of warm sunlight. A breathy gasp escaped her, eyes staring at the last place the dazzling pelt had been. Swallowing hard, she jerked her head, turning back to a waiting Dustpelt, eyes wide as she remembered that it was a test. Her mouth opened before shutting, watching him hopefully. Try as she may, the thoughts of what happened intruded upon her worry of failure. What in StarClan’s name was that?

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Border|Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Clans

Flamepaw gave Mothepaw a sidelong look, as the young tom dodged her question. "Well enough", Flamepaw answered vaguely. Her white tail tip twitched as she remembered, "Couple of days ago I was able to catch a big fish", Flamepaw said, a bit for pride in her voice this time. Flamepaw lay there for several heartbeats, just taking in the sounds of the forest and the scent of Mothpaw next to her. Their pelts were almost touching, this made Flamepaw self conscious. If she had known that they would meet, the she-cat would've straightened her fur. Right now her unruly ginger pelt seemed to be sticking out at every end, this made Flamepaw blush even more.
Shaking her head clear of any more muddled thoughts, the she-cat pushed herself up into a sitting position. She hatted to do this, but if she did not return soon, she might be missed. Turning to Mothpaw, the ginger tabby she-cat unconsciously moved closer to him. Now their pelts where actually touching. "Sorry, I think I should probably head back", Flamepaw said, there was sadness in her eyes. Since she and Mothpaw lived in different clans and the tom was a medicine cat apprentice, their meetings where few and far between. Pressing her head into the gray and white toms shoulder, she breathed in his scent.
