Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.
2000px-Decorative_text_divider.svg.png

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.
Ravenblaze has seen a Starclan sign in the clouds.
~~
During a storm, Duskclan cats found three bodies, all deceased. Two Dawnclan, one Duskclan.
Dawnclan on the same patrol found a few pawprints, hard to identify but heading what looks like south.
Mothpaw, Ravenblaze, and Hornetpaw have seen signs in the clouds, cats fighting against an unknown darkness.
~~
Two strangers have been found in the territory, one taken by the two-legs another who seems to be nesting near the Cavern on Dawnclan territory.

The traps are discovered to not be for the cats.

⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons |:| Male |:| DawnClan |:| Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location - Camp |:| Mentions - Cloudburst (Direct) / Ravenblaze (Indirect)

The lack of recurring violence over the past two days did little to quell Hornetpaw’s nerves. His dreams were haunted by Mousefur’s torn body and final words, or else filled with shadowy figures that watched him with malignant red eyes and blood-stained teeth bared. He didn’t feel the nightmares held any significance and hadn’t shared them with Ravenblaze, but the mystery behind Mousefur’s murder kept him on edge. Every waking moment he was almost hyper alert, fixating on every new sight, scent and sound he encountered.

He sorted through the last pile of freshly-picked herbs he had collected the previous night, storing them before exiting the den and shaking out his ruffled pelt, bits of leaf and herb dust still clinging to his thick golden coat. He bore a shallow cut on his muzzle, the result of a training session that had gotten a bit out of paw. Everyone was stressed beyond belief and his sparring partner had grown agitated enough to strike at him with claws unsheathed, an apology quickly offered in the aftermath and accepted. Hornetpaw chose not report the incident, empathising with his Clanmate's fears and frustration.

Ravenblaze’s insistence they both needed combat training had felt unneeded to Hornetpaw, at least in regards to himself. He’d nearly completed his warrior training before switching to the path of a medicine cat, but the past few days proved well enough his skills had grown rusty and the practice was much needed after all. He’d forgotten how slow he was compared to some of the smaller, slimmer cats. So much had to rely on the brute strength his size and weight could provide. He found he didn’t like battle training anymore now than he had as a warrior apprentice.

Padding toward the fresh-kill pile, he caught a glimpse of Cloudburst settled at the nursery entrance. Selecting a plump rabbit, he approached the grieving queen, laying it at her paws. “Have you eaten yet today Cloudburst? Why don’t we share?” He suggested. Hornetpaw knew as well as anyone sorrow had a tendency to curb one’s appetite and he wanted to be certain she was getting enough prey, and also offer her a bit of company. Carrying on without Mousefur must be difficult and he was determined not to let her go through it alone.

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons |:| Male |:| DuskClan |:| Warrior
Location - Camp |:| Mentions - Vulturepaw (Direct) / Blackstar, Fleetwhisper (Indirect)

Redeye slunk into camp with a squirrel clutched between his jaws, three other warriors padding in behind him with a few mice between them. They eyed him nervously, clearly keen to be done with the patrol and him. The albino tom hadn’t been the same since his outburst two days prior. While sporting a calm exterior his sleek pelt always seemed to be bristling and his crimson eyes held an almost wild look when he was left unoccupied, always lingering at the fringes of camp. More so than that though, he had proven unnervingly quiet and subdued.

Blackstar and Fleetwhisper had done their best to address his concerns, but it seemed rather likely the white warrior was leaving something unsaid, a previous trauma that left him biased and paranoid. His standing with the Clan was already shaky given his unusual appearance and strange mannerisms, but the uncharacteristic silence proved more unsettling than anything else the odd cat had ever done or said. Redeye dropped the squirrel on the kill pile, swiftly retreating to a shadowy patch along the camp’s borders.

His gaze followed Vulturepaw as the young black tom exited the apprentice's den, seeking out a playmate. As he pounced upon one of the deposited mice Redeye felt inclined to approach, silently walking up behind him. “You know you shouldn’t play with your food,” he lectured dully.

Umbraclaw|Dawnclaw Deputy|Mollie|Location: Dawnclan Camp|Mentions: Foxpaw, Cloudburst, Gingerstar, Flamepaw

Umbraclaw would wake up around the same time as the rest of the warriors around her and would get up to stretch. The events surrounding Mousefur's death troubled her and she could only feel a tremendous amount of sympathy towards Cloudburst as well as her unborn kits. Later today she would make a point to visit the queen and offer her someone to talk to or even just silent companionship if that was her preference. The deputy also wanted to confer with Gingerstar about the matter so she could offer her thoughts as well as act as a sounding board for the older mollie. It was a role that she was uniquely suited for considering their close friendship and mutual understanding of the other. However for now, she needed to eat something and then tend to her apprentice.

Heading to the fresh kill pile, the black mollie would select a squirrel and then find a quiet spot to consume it. Once she finished her meal, she would bury the bones and look for Foxpaw. Umbraclaw would find her apprentice in a quiet corner of the camp next to her sister Flamepaw. "All right Foxpaw, it is time to train. Say goodbye to your sister for now and follow me."

Assuming Foxpaw obediently obeyed her, she would lead the ginger tabby to an out of the way part of the camp. Afterwards she would turn around and say. "We will be doing combat training today since we don't need to leave camp and thus find another warrior to go with. Now as you know, you are rather small, however this doesn't strictly have to be a disadvantage. While strength will never be your strong suit, it is also not the only factor in battle. After all it doesn't matter how hard you hit if you can't actually hit your opponent. Your small size can make it harder for others to hit you and also offers greater maneuverability. So you need to fight in a way that maximizes these advantages. Now keep that in mind as we are going to spar so keep your claws sheathed and your bites soft."

After giving her apprentice a moment to get ready, she would rush towards her and attempt to swipe at the ginger tabby's front legs with her front right paw. Then if she succeeded, she would attempt to strike with the opposite side with her left paw to capitalize on it and hopefully knock her to the ground.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Camp | Mentions: Owlfeather(indirect), Vulturepaw(direct), open

Sootpaw lay in the apprentice's den, his paws tucked beneath him and his eyes half closed in peaceful thought. With his mentor having been in the medicine cat's den and the threats of twolegs, dogs, and traps, he hadn't gotten many opportunities to leave camp for the past couple of days. He'd been able to hunt a bit, but other than that his duties had been rather limited.
Sootpaw's ear twitched at the sound of another apprentice waking from their nest and leaving the den. He turned his head to see Vulturepaw's tail disappear through the entrance and Sootpaw sighed. He'd been doing his best to avoid the dark apprentice after their little disagreement. It wasn't that he was still mad at Vulturepaw. If he were, he'd likely have kept confronting the tom every chance he got. No, Sootpaw was embarrassed at his own outburst, and he couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. Maybe this was why he wasn't good at making friends?
Sootpaw slowly stood and stretched, taking his time to enjoy the process of waking up. He slipped out of the apprentice's den and sat just outside the entrance and began to groom himself as he thought about what he should do today. Checking on his mentor was surely at the top of his list. Sootpaw wasn't nearly as worried about her as he was a couple of days ago, but it feels like the right thing to do. He could probably find a clanmate to hunt with him, now that partners were mandatory. Maybe he'd even volunteer to clean out old moss from the dens.
He had just finished swiping his paw over his face when the gray tom's gaze rested on the kill pile. Yes, he could do all of those things. But first: breakfast.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: camp|Mention(s) Directly: Blackstar|Mention(s) Indirectly: Redeye, Sootpaw, Vulturepaw

The siamese she-cat looked up, she had started to clean herself, as Blackster approtched. Owlfeather wrapped her tail around her paws, the deputy nodded her head in respect to her leader. "Well enough, it does not hurt anymore", the she-cat reported. A small chuckle escaped the deputy, as she noticed Blackstars ruffled fur. Hard at work?", the she-cat jokingly asked the leader. It was rare for Owlfeather to see the black tom doing any repair work in the camp, 'I guess everything is a bit different now', the she-cat thought.
The siamese she-cat nodded her head, in response to the leaders question, "More than ready, my paws have been itching to be out hunting and patrolling", Owlfeather said. Her claws dug into the soft earth underpaw, she was getting actus to be out of camp. Letting her eyes wander over the camp, the deputy looked for warriors to take out on patrol. Her blue-gray eyes landed on Redeye, Sootpaw, and Vulturepaw. She would probably see if Redeyes was up to going out again if, then they'd take their apprentices with them.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Camp|Mention(s) Directly: Foxpaw, Umbraclaw|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaws blue eyes lifted from her squirrel, as she noticed a small ginger pelt coming towards her. Not really bothering to say hello, Flamepaw continued to eat her prey. The young ginger she-cat shuffled over a bit, to give her sister some space to sit. Flamepaws ear twitched, at Foxpaws question. The ginger apprentice shrugged in response.
Sitting back, Flamepaw started to clean herself. "Don't really know", Flamepaw answered her sister. Looking over the camp, the she-cat was searching for her mentor. Maybe they could go out on patrol?
With her paw, she nudged the rest of her prey to her sister. "Know you're not hungry, but you need to eat", she said, before Foxpaw ould complain that she was not hungry. The she-cat was just about to ask her sister, if she had anything planned with Umbraclaw, when the deputy called out to Foxpaw. Flamepaw let out a slight huff and here she was just starting to talk with her sister.

|Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 7 Moons old | location: Med. Cat Den | Mentions: (D) open (ID) FleetWhisper |

Mothpaw crunched loudly on the bones of a mouse, his icy blue eyes glancing over at the fresh-kill as the other apprentices spoke. The sun was shining brightly as it began to rise, and as it filled his camp with light, his clanmates started to appear in the clearing. Mothpaw had been awake for sometime now while his mentor rested up, and instead of sorting through herbs and checking off what they needed more of, the apprentice decided to eat and look on. The white and grey cat loved helping the wounded and sick get better, but that didn't mean he felt lonely sometimes. All he could do was watch on as the other apprentices ate together. Mothpaw shook the thoughts from his mind and got to his paws, then buried the bones of his prey. He had work to do.

|Swiftclaw | Dawnclan| warrior | 26 Moons old | location: camp | mentions: open |

Swiftclaw gave her pelt a stern shake as she padded out of the warrior's den, her eyes scanning the clearing to see which cat was up. To her annoyance, it was no one interesting. The she-cat sighed quietly and headed over towards the entrance of camp with plans to hunt. Before Swiftclaws could get far, however, Gingerstars words reminded her that going out alone was not allowed. Rolling her eyes the warrior made her way over too the fresh-kill pile and settled down by herself. She didn't care much for socializing with others when she didn't need too. The warrior stretched her arm out and hooked a small bird with her claws. Pulling the small creature apart was like squishing a fly, it was so easy. Swtfclaw smirked to herself as her fangs dug in and she started to eat her breakfast.

Cloudburst || 26 moons || Female || Dawnclan Warrior/Queen (4 weeks) || Long white fur with dilute tabby calico marks || polydactyl || Location{Dawnclan camp} || Mentions {directly-Hornetpaw} {indirectly-Gingerstar, Ravenblaze, Mousefur (NPC)}

Cloudburst lifted her head at the sound of a cat entering the nursery, it was Hornetpaw with a rabbit hanging from his maw. She thought to say she wasn't hungry- which was a lie- but realized it was useless. He likely knew she hadn't eaten and it would be bad to starve herself with kits on the way. She just couldn't muster the strength or motivation to get out of her nest and eat or drink.
"No, I haven't" she mumbled, straightening her body and tucking her paws under her. "I'd love to share a meal." she said. She would only take a few bites, however. Even though she was hungry, she had no appetite. She felt sick almost, just from those few bites. Her emotions were still getting the best of her. The queen forced a smile and nodded a thank you to the apprentice, "I'm sorry, I'm just not that hungry" she said lowly.
She lay there for a minute in silence, thinking. "Were you able to figure out who did it?" she asked, her voice wavering. She bit her lip and looked down at the ground, but no tears came now, just a hollow sadness in her heart.

Vulturepaw || 10moons || Male || Duskclan apprentice {Mentor Redeye} || short dark brown/black tom with yellow eyes || deformed throat/trachea || Location {Duskclan Camp} || Mentions {directly- Harepaw, Redeye} {indirectly- Sootpaw}

Vulturepaw coward back in surprise at his mentors voice, "I-I'm sorry." he squeaked. He dare not look the white cat in the eyes, keeping his gaze at the ground. He wasn't usually so fearful of his own mentor, but with recent events, Redeye had just seemed... off. Vulturepaw felt like the elder cat could snap at any moment- he didn't know what the albino would do exactly- but the fact that his demeaner had changed so much sort of scared him. The small black cat shifted his gaze a bit as he saw a figure emerge from the apprentice den, no doubt Sootpaw, but kept his head lowered. "We just haven't been on a hunt for a bit together, I wanted to practice..." he half lied. The two hadn't gone out much, and Vulturepaw did really want to practice hunting again, but he was just playing with his food when Redeye had caught him. He hoped the white feline hadn't seen through his white lie.

Ravenblaze | Dawnclan Medicine Cat | 25 Moons | White Green-Eyed Tom | Camp |Mentions: NPCs(Adderstrike ID, Blossombush), Swiftclaw Open!

Ravenblaze had spent the last two days gathering herbs and tending to the herb patches. He always had at least two warriors with him, often Blossombush would be one, and Adderstrike would join her every now and then. Having his sister close to him was a great comfort, and encouragement. He let the warriors guarding him be, letting them focus on their task of keeping him safe. His nights were spent having recurring dreams of the sign he had seen in the clouds. He would toss and turn throughout the night, sleeping in more and more as the days progressed.

He opened his eyes, surprised at how rested he felt. Since his dreams had started taunting him, he finally gave in to a temptation to try poppy seeds before sleeping. It had worked, and he felt more rested than he had in a couple of days. Stretching luxuriously, he padded out of the medicine cat den and looked around camp. He noticed that many cats were already out and about. He scanned the camp and spotted his next conversation 'victim'. Swiftclaw. He strolled over to the she-cat, grabbing some prey from the fresh-kill pile, and settled next to her. "Good morning." He greeted, deciding to not bombard her with sentences. He would ease into it.

|Swiftclaw | Dawnclan| warrior | 26 Moons old | location: camp | mentions: Ravenblaze, open |

The warrior was just about finished eating when she was approached by a clanmate. She recognized her clanmates smell and lifted up her head as he approached. Swiftclaw met the others warm greeting with a snarky tone, "what do you want Ravenblaze," The she-cat took a small bite from her bird before speaking again. "Can't you see that I'm busy" Even if her voice sounded rude and uncaring, her piercing green eyes showed that for once she's wasn't in a bad mood. Mousefur's death a few days ago has made every cat either nervous, angry, sad, or a mixture of all those emotions. But not Swiftclaw, if anything she felt annoyance at not being able to go out on her own anymore. If Duskclan were the ones who killed Mousefur then that meant he was beaten by rogues and kittypets, which meant he was asked to his clan anyways. Swiftclaw pushed her thoughts aside so that she could listen to what Ravenblaze had too say.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Camp | Mentions: Vulturepaw(direct), Redeye(direct), Owlfeather(indirect), Blackstar(indirect) open

Satisfied with his groomed fur, Sootpaw trotted towards the kill pile. He was already eying a plump little sparrow with anticipation, but as he neared, his attention was drawn to Vulturepaw and Redeye. Sootpaw couldn't help but notice how uncomfortable the young apprentice looked. No, a little more than uncomfortable. Nervous, perhaps? The gray tom briefly wondered why Vulturepaw would react to his mentor that way. Maybe he had done something embarrassing. Sootpaw's tail twitched in amusement at the thought as he lifted the little bird from the pile. Or, he supposed, perhaps it was the way Redeye had acting lately that made Vulturepaw seem so nervous.
Sootpaw lay beside the pile and began gnawing thoughtfully on his bird, casually listening to the two cats while gazing around the camp. Redeye had always been...well, a bit weird. But something has changed in him. Sootpaw couldn't pinpoint what it was, but there was definitely something different about the ghostly tom. And, frankly, it made Sootpaw even more uneasy around him than usual.
Sootpaw caught sight of Owlfeather speaking with Blackstar just outside the medicine cat's den. She looked well rested, and Sootpaw hoped that this was a sign that he'd get something to do today.

⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons |:| Male |:| DawnClan |:| Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location - Camp |:| Mentions - Cloudburst

Hornetpaw was pleased to find Cloudburst didn’t argue, accepting both the meal and his company. She took only a few minimal bites and he frowned, concern shining in his eyes. Pondering whether or not he should encourage her to take more, a question he should have expected, yet still wasn’t prepared for forced him to avert his gaze. “I’m sorry Cloudburst, but no…” He considered how much he should tell her before concluding she had a right to know. “The evidence we uncovered thus far has proven inconclusive.”

Fearful his words would worsen Cloudburst’s grief, he searched for anything he could say to comfort her. “This doesn’t mean we won’t ever find answers though. I have little doubt StarClan will guide us in the right direction if we can’t figure things out on our own,” he added hastily, remembering Ravenblaze had received a troubling omen on the same day Mousefur’s murder occurred. “The answer will become clear with time, I know it, and Mousefur’s murderer will be brought to justice.”

⇺ [ Redeye ] ⇻
36 Moons |:| Male |:| DuskClan |:| Warrior
Location - Camp |:| Mentions - Vulturepaw, Owlfeather, Sootpaw

Redeye’s head tilted, the look on his face clearly stating he didn’t believe the younger cat’s excuse. He didn’t push the issue, his apprentice's fear quelling whatever had motivated him to confront him in the first place. Under ordinary circumstances, he might have teased Vulturepaw. Otherwise, Redeye was rarely a cat who offered lectures considering he was on the receiving end of many himself. “If you insist.”

A pinprick of guilt nagged at him upon realizing Vulturepaw was right. Redeye had neglected his apprentice’s training as of late, and no cat had seen fit to point such out, perhaps believing he needed time and space to himself. “Quite right. Let’s see about joining a patrol then,” he murmured more gently, his tail lightly brushing Vulturepaw’s shoulder as he turned and caught Owlfeather’s eye, leaving Vulturepaw to converse with Sootpaw.

The colorpoint she-cat was finally on her paws again and seemed as if she were searching for warriors to join a patrol. He walked to meet her, regarding the deputy with an unreadable expression. “Good to see you out and about again Owlfeather, are you officially fit for duty?”

Blackstar|Leader of Duskclan|One eyed Black Tom|Location: Camp|Mentions: Open
Blackstar nodded his head slightly in rythm as he listened to his deputy speak, an odd trait the tom had. At her comment on working hard, his ear gave a sheepish twitch, and a sturdy paw raised upwards, to brush some of the dirt from his pelt.
"Keeping the mind occupied, more or less." He mused, studying the camp as she jumped on the idea of a patrol. Before he could do more than notice the pelts that were up and about however, he could already see Redeye and Vulturepaw talking, then heading their direction.
Blackstars single glare studied Redeye unblinkingly, but not unkindly. He worried for the peculiar tom, and almost missed the odd spirit of the white cat.
"Good timing." He mewed, bobbing his head in greeting to both cats.
"Owlfeather needs a chance to stretch her legs,"there was a teasing tone in his voice, " And I figured its a good time for a Sunhigh patrol." He looked around, noticing Sootpaw also lurked in the camp.
"Besides, I think its high time Sootpaw got his evaluation." There was a proud glint in Blackstars eye, he knew that an apprentice earning their name might be the type of clan bonding that would lift the faded spirits of the camp.
"Owlfeather, you know what your apprentice needs to be checked on, and it will be good experience for Vulturepaw to see what to expect."
"Patrol the North border, where the territory ends and meets Dawnclan up to the River rocks." As he talked, Blackstar sudden grew more stern, his tail tip twitching.
"and keep an eye out for Fernfoot, and the two-leg traps. Check for any along your route." He knew that Owlfeather knew what to do, but he couldn't help but worry. The thought of losing more of his clan to the two-legs was a distressing thought, one he never knew he'd feel so strongly. With a final nod of his head, his haunches rose from the earth, signalling his dismissal of the patrol.

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions: Open

Dustpelt was lounged in the camp, his pale coat true to his name, as he rolled in the dry earth. Though the sky threatened rain, it still hadn't done so and part of him would have welcomed the cool drops, even if they made things a mess overall.
"Booored." He flopped onto his other side, before rolling onto his paws and giving a shake. Now that their patrols and hunts were more controlled, and Blackstar wanted no cat to go out and about alone, Dustpelt found his morning routine rudely altered. He longed to sprint through the woods, and the very thought made his paws kneed the ground.
"Ok, thats it." with a final huff, Dustpelt began to examine the camp, and as he did, his yowl was loud, though friendly.
"Haaaaarepaw!" A few disturbed glared aimed his way, though they went unnoticed by the tom.
"Lets traaaaaiiin!" Dustpelt sounded more like the apprentice as he pranced towards the apprentice den, wondering if the young cat was in there. In the darkness, he couldn't tell what was cat or moss so instead he just gave another hissing mew.
"Training tiiiiiime." Before he backed out, beginning to scan the rest of the area just in case.

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Clan Borders|Mentions: Open

There ws silence between the siblings for a moment after the question and answer, but at Flamepaw's quiet insistence of food, Foxpaw gave a faint twitch of her whiskers and her gaze finally turned towards her fiery kin.
Her jaws had only just parted to speak however, when Umbraclaw stalked over, hardly giving the she-cat a moment before stating her orders and leaving once more. Foxpaw narrowed her eyes, but her emotion was unreadable.
She rose to her paws, and was about to move on when she froze.
"Why not come and watch, Scorchwing can find you there., not like we're going far." It was odd for Foxpaw to slack on an order given by her mentor, and another entirely to invite another cat to her training, in which she was usually quite secretive. The sharpness of her stare wasn't dulled, but it only met Flamepaws for a moment before she turned back around.
"Only if you want. If Umbraclaw gets mad, she can escort us back herself." With that, Foxpaw left the offer of the squirrel untouched and trotted to follow to the furthest corner of the camp, where there was a small amount of clear space.
She listened to Umbraclaw begin to speak as she neared, her ears turned towards the larger cat. It wasn't anything she hadn't heard before, much of her training had been to use her size and speed to her advantage. Her gaze however, did seem to drift slightly as the words went on, and even though she was given pause, Foxpaw was jerked back into attention when Umbraclaw struck.
She felt her paws leave the earth, and she fell hard onto her chest and shoulder with a snort of surprise. She felt Umbrapaw's other paw strike, and after one hit she gained her bearings and rolled out of the way, springing back onto her paws lightly, coat covered in fresh dust. Her chest rose and fell more rapidly than it should have been, and her eyes were narrowed to frustrated slits but she said nothing as she lunged forward, back claws kicking up sand and dirt as she darted quick as an adder. For a moment, it looked as if she were going to try and ram Umbraclaw chest on, but at the last moment she ducked, and with a hiss slid under the she-cat's belly, twisting her body in a lithe move so that she was paws up under the warrior, hoping that she could get a few good strikes in, her claws just barely contained.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Camp - Territory|Mention(s) Directly: Umbraclaw, Foxpaw, Scorchwing|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Flamepaw gave a small and dry chuckle, at Foxpaws words. It was rare, for her sister to ask Flamepaw to come along for training. The apprentice stayed at her spot for a few heartbeats, as Foxpaw went and followed her mentor. Before making up her mind, the apprentice looked around the camp, searching for her own mentor. Not able to see Scorchwing anywhere, the apprentice got to her paws. Taking another big bit of her pray, Flamepaw got to her paws. Quickly burying her remaining prey, Flamepaw went after Umbraclaw and Foxpaw.
Taking up the rear, the ginger tabby apprentices eye wandered. She listened to Umbraclaws words, as the deputy spoke to Foxpaw. Her sister seemed to have coned out at one point, because when the black she-cat struck, Foxpaw was hit square on. Flamepaw witzed a bit in sympathy, as her sister fell. Flamepaw shook her head, her sister should know better. Sitting herself off to the side, Flamepaw curled her tail around her paws. Her blue eyes followed Foxpaws training. After a bit of watching, Flamepaw became bord. The young she-cats tail twitched, as a thought started to form in her mind. Maybe, just maybe she could sneak off. Flamepaw knew that Gingerstar had ordered no one to go out alone, especially apprentices, but Flamepaw needed to go out and stretch her paw.
Slowly turning, Flamepaw slunk off into the camp wall. Pushing her way slowly through, she was small enough that the brablebushes did not pull on her pelt too badly. Within a couple of heartbeats, the young she-cat had disappeared. She was sure that no one had paid enough attention to notice her. Reaching the outside, Flamepaw shook her pelt out. The flame colored apprentice stretched out her legs, taking in a deep breath Flamepaw headed off alone.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Camp|Mention(s) Directly: Redeye, Blackstar, Sootpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Vulturepaw, Fernfoot

Owlfeath dipped her in greeting to Redeye, as the tom came over. As Blackster continued to speak, the she-cats mind faulted. Sootpaws evaluation? The siamese she-cats eyes wandered to where her apprentice was, only ow did she actually notice how much the young tom had grown. Pride warmed her pelt, at the thought that Sootpaw might become a warrior soon. The deputy was pulled out of her own thoughts, when Blackstar addressed her again.
Owlfeather nodded her head, the she-cat did not speak, until her leader had finished giving his instructions. The deputy agreed with the leader, that they needed to keep an eye on the human traps. Her tail twitched, at the mention of Fernfoot. Somewhere deep down, the she-cat still felt responsible for her clan mate being taken. As the leader went to leave, Owlfeather gave a final nod of her head and said a quick, "Understood, Blackstar".
Getting to her paws, the deputy turned towards Redeye, "I want to quickly go through, what I thought to do with Sootpaws assessment", Owlfeather told the warrior. "I'd like for Sootpaw to hunt a squirrel and then either a Duck or a fish. I want for you and Vulturepaw to follow him on the ground, just so your apprentice can see what an assessment is about. I'll follow from the trees", Olwfeather informed the tom, the siames she-cat had always been comfortable climbing up trees and traveling on them. "I'll tell Sootpaw that the three of us will be waiting for him, by the River rocks", the deputy said, finishing she gave Redeye a nod. "I'll get Sootpaw and you can catch Vultureaw up on my plan", the deputy said, turning away from the white tom and heading for her apprentice.
The she-cat gave Sootpw a kind nod, as she came up to him. Sitting down, the she-cat could barely contain her pride, "Sorry that I have not been able to train you, these past days", the she-cat said, apologising, "But I'm sure that you will enjoy this...", the deputy said. Leaving a bit of a dramatic pause, Owlfeather said, "You will be having your warrior assessment today." After giving her apprentice several heartbeats to digest this news, Owlfeather continued, "I want you to hunt a Squirrel and either a Duck or a Fish. Redeye, Vulturpaw, and I will be waiting for you at the River rocks", the mentor said, informing her apprentice.

Ravenblaze | Dawnclan Medicine Cat | 25 Moons | White Green-Eyed Tom | Camp |Mentions: NPCs(Adderstrike ID, Blossombush), Swiftclaw Open!

Ravenblaze did not let Swiftclaw's snarky tone get to him. He usually never let the tone of cats affect him. "Just some pleasant conversation." The tom replied, taking a bite from his meal. He crunched down on the carcass and swallowed the mouthful, giving a soft chuckle at Swiftclaw's words. "Busy eating, yes?" He guessed, an amused tone to his voice. He took another bite, crunching through the tiny bones of the mouse he was eating. He took some time to chew before speaking again. "You must be as annoyed as everyone else with the new rule." He mentioned, hoping to start up smalltalk with the she-cat. He could tell she was not in a bad mood, so hoped this was his chance to get in some casual conversation, perhaps even ask her to come out with him and Blossombush to tend to his marigold patch. He had not checked the marigold patch in two days, so felt it was about time to check on it.

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 7 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

Mothpaw tail twitched nervously as he neared Dawnclans territory. He felt uneasy being so close to such hostile cats like them, it made his fur bristle. Shaking the thoughts from his mind he carried on with his task of retrieving more herbs. With a sigh, the apprentice trotted on. The depressing weather only seemed to dampen the young toms confidence as he traveled further away from the safety of his camp. Maybe going off on his own wasn't such a great idea after all, what if he was captured by two legs? Or attacked by at Dawnclan cat. The grey and white cat gulped but pushed his fears aside. He gave a quick thanks to Starclan as the herbs he was looking for came into view, "Oh, thank starclan I've finally made it!" But as he approached the smell of Dawnclan grew stronger. It smelt fresh.

|Swiftclaw | Dawnclan| warrior | 26 Moons old | location: camp | mentions: Ravenblaze, open |

The she-cat scoffed at the toms words but said nothing more. She wasn't in the mood for making enemies today. As Ravenblaze started to feast on his prey, she hurried the bones of hers. But instead of getting up and moving away, Swiftclaw began to groom herself. The warrior often found her mostly white pelt annoying because of how much she had to groom it. Her green eyes traveled from the ground up to Ravenblaze's face as he spoke to her. "Yes, I do find it rather annoying." That was all she was willing to offer the medicine cat about the situation. She wa not too keen on others knowing how she felt.

Scorchwing | Warrior of DawnClan | Long-Limbed White & Charcoal Female | Location: Camp | Mentions: Gingerstar [Direct], Flamepaw [Indirect]

Things felt wrong now. The air felt heavy and tension seems to have purged the camp, and with good reason. It left Scorchwing’s pelt prickling with anger and sorrow. For Cloudburst in particular. The poor she-cat cat just lost her mate, and was due for little ones. The thought made her heart ache. She didn’t know the poor mollie all that well, but she’d support the queen nonetheless.

Scorchwing paced the stretch of the camp near her den, her downy tail lashing to and fro like the birds that bounced between the trees. She had decided to give Flamepaw a little room to breathe and relax, perhaps to spend time with Foxpaw, but Scorchwing was known for her restlessness and passion for work. She was a warrior, Doegaze, her mother had raised her to fight an endless battle, if that battle was present or not.

Deciding to hopefully break the anxiousness building like rubble in her body, she set off to find her duties, hoping to perhaps push away her inner conflict with hunting or patrolling. With a deep, centering breath to help focus, she took long strides towards where the leader frequented. Perhaps after she got her patrol orders she could grab Flamepaw.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Dustpelt [Direct], Vulturepaw, Redeye [Indirect]

Harepaw was as elusive as her namesake. She had no problem hiding from other cats, which included her mentor and the apprentice that had milled around looking for her. Maybe I can play with Vulturepaw later? She suggested to herself before nodding as she made her decision. But, for now, she would sit undisturbed. She enjoyed the simplicity of watching others during their adventure through the day. She noticed the tightness in the muscles of warriors and the loose legs of the apprentices. One of their own had been taken and, unsurprisingly, Harepaw hadn’t found the energy within her to worry. The stars had their ways, and she wasn’t going to worry about what they had planned. It was a waste of time and energy.

Instead, she focused on maintaining herself and keeping watch dutifully while working on stretching her muscles. She wanted to get faster, but she didn’t know if she could. Her legs were too small and her body too awkward despite her lithe physique. Like most apprentices, she was still growing into her body. But, for now, she could deal with her speed. After all, she did manage to keep up with Redeye. She frowned, her cream-tipped tail twitching as she remembered the albino male who seemed to have lost his spark. It almost made her sad. But alas, her level of apathy only lifted with the sense of duty.

“Haaaaarepaw!”

An alarming call of her name caused the young mollie to nearly leap from her pelt and towards the clouds. Oh, for Star’s sakes! With a pelt now fluffed and ruffled, she sprinted towards the loud voice that had almost given her an early meeting with StarClan themselves. “Dustpelt?” She called as she spotted the dust-sprinkled male tucked just out of view from her original vantage point. “Don’t shout!” She hissed out as she quickly met him. Her ears were bent and her tail was dragging, pelt radiating embarrassment. With a huff she worked on smoothing down her disheveled pelt. “What’s the plan then? Finally decided to include me in your strange adventures?” Her ears twitch and swivel, now alert as the tranquility of morning left her high and dry.
