Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES
Two-legs have taken a Duskclan cat.
Two-leg traps have been found in both clans.
A Dawnclan cat was killed by an unknown source.
A strange new scent has been found all over the territory, its source leading apparently south.
Ravenblaze has seen a Starclan sign in the clouds.
~~
During a storm, Duskclan cats found three bodies, all deceased. Two Dawnclan, one Duskclan.
Dawnclan on the same patrol found a few pawprints, hard to identify but heading what looks like south.
Mothpaw, Ravenblaze, and Hornetpaw have seen signs in the clouds, cats fighting against an unknown darkness.
~~
Two strangers have been found in the territory, one taken by the two-legs another who seems to be nesting near the Cavern on Dawnclan territory.

The traps are discovered to not be for the cats.

Events!

Even for Flamepaw, Mothpaw

As the pair talks, the forest begins to grow silent. Its hard to notice at first, but in a moment of not speaking, its clear. There is no birdsong, no wind, just stillness. And in that, a loud snapping of branches can be heard some distance away, the flash of a dark pelt just visible on the rivers edge, hidden by the foliage.
There is a sense of something wrong about, and its hard to tell if whoever it was was watching the pair, or passing through.

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions:
Harepaw, Open

Dustpelt was surprised to see Harepaw nearly on his tail as the sounds of her paws slowed as well, her eyes wide and staring briefly into the distance, before snapping back to him. Curious. He glanced over his shoulder, but saw nothing but gently swaying green in the distance. Even still, he had been certain for a moment Harepaw had been looking at something past him.
Shaking off the thought, Dustpelt padded forward, looking down at Harepaw with a purr of praise.

"I don't think I've ever seen a cat take that path so easily their first time, save for Adderflight. Even I ate dirt trying to navigate those roots." He gave her a clearly impressed nod, studying her for a moment, thinking. She really did remind him of their current messenger, and his old mentor.
While Dustpelt had passed as a warrior, he had failed Adderflight when it came to training as a Messenger for the clan. But in this moment, he had to wonder if his failing was meant to be, and if the young cat before him was meant to be more than just a warrior. He didn't speak for a moment, but as a gust of wind tugged at his fur Dustpelt seemed to jerk back into reality.

"Right, I guess I owe you that mouse then." He purred, though his usual jovial tone was edged with thought.
"Take as long as you need to rest, but be careful of the two-leg nests. They're pretty close, and they like to wander the forest in this area." It wasn't new news, but Dustpelt knew that a cautionary word was always needed with young cats, and even some of the older ones as well. With a twitch of his tail, Dustpelt trotted off into the forest, only giving one last glance back before vanishing into the foliage.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Dustpelt [Direct]

She laughed nervously, feeling a bit flustered as she shook a leaf or two from her pelt. “Oh? Must have been dumb luck then, I suppose.” She cleared her throat and blinked at him as he mentioned the mouse. She had thought he was joking. Relaxing a bit, she broke into a relieved smile. “Thank the Stars. I’m so hungry.” She dipped down, stretching out her legs and noted the emptiness of her stomach with a small pout.

Harepaw, despite the questions that weighed on her, was more than ecstatic. She had easily gone through something her mentor even had trouble with. She had always worried if she would be a burden to her Clan, without any particular reason. Her siblings were just background noise, as was her mother. They were as ordinary as any, and it was something she always feared. She wanted to do something with her life. She wanted to be someone.

She broke from her existential thoughts as he began to speak again. She flicked her tail and purred quietly, clearly spirited by her own little win for the day. “Rest? I’m the young one. Maybe you should be resting your old bones.” But she nodded at his warnings. She didn’t want to be taken by the Two-legs like Redeye had warned. Thankfully, she couldn’t smell any of those silver things nearby.
With a lively bounce in her step, she followed dutifully after Dustpelt, her eyes searching the land for two-legs, while hoping to get a glimpse of something silvery hiding in the trees. “So are we just here for an adventure, or to just do a patrol?”

Larkclaw
15 Moons || Female || DawnClan Warrior
Location: Camp || Mentions: Gingerstar, Scorchwing

The last few days had left Larkclaw exhausted between nightmares and the growing apprehension that filled her gut. So far no new evidence had come to light, at least as far as she knew, and it had only seemed to make poor Cloudburst more distressed. Having to stay in camp unless you had another warrior to tag along with was also clearly fraying some nerves in the camp, more than a few cats pacing around the edges just to keep from going insane.

A movement from the High Root made her look up to see their leader come forward to address the cats below. Larkclaw’s ears twitched toward Gingerstar and she listened intently, nodding absently when patrols were mentioned. She hadn’t been one of the cats that was sent to further investigate the scene of Mousefur’s death, and in the last few days she hadn’t even been assigned to a patrol that went near it. This would be the closest she’d get since the incident. Hopefully she would manage to not relive that moment should they actually stop to reexamine the spot.

Once Gingerstar had finished giving out instructions, Larkclaw scanned over the camp in search of Scorchwing. She noticed the long-legged warrior more toward the front of the assembled cats and began to make her way over, weaving through her clanmates as they dispersed to do as they were told. As she drew near, part of her wanted to ask Scorchwing if she felt as unnerved as Larkclaw did, but decided it would be better not to rile up any uncomfortable feelings before they even left camp. Everyone was already on edge as it was.

“I’m ready to head out when you are,” she meowed, bowing her head to Scorchwing.

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 13 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) open (ID) Flamepaw |

"I don't know how you could stand getting your pelt wet," He said wrinkling up his nose in playful distaste. It was nice when the two of them sat in a comfortable silence for a few moments, just taking in the calming sounds of the forest. It was strangely upsetting when Flamepaw got to her paws and proposed they go, "Yeah, your probably right." Mothpaw felt his heart slam against his chest as the Dawnclan warrior pressed her head into his shoulder. The apprentices white and grey pelt grew hot with embarrassment but he did his best to ignore. Mothpaw let his head fall gently onto her head for just a moment before he pulled away. They sit in silence only for a few heartbeats when a loud snap echoes loudly close to them. It's hard for the tom to tell where it is, but as soon as he heard it, his claws were unsheathed and ready for a fight. "Get behind me,” but it didn't matter anymore, it was clear whoever it was is gone. “Did you hear that?” The tom turned around to face the ginger cat, his heart racing.

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: |Mention(s) Directly: Mothpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Stranger

Flamepaw actually almost purred, when Mothpaw rested his head on hers. She pulled away though, before it could actually form. The ginger tabby she-cat shrank together, when the sharp sound echoed through the sudden silence. Flamepaw sprang to her paws, the apprentices hackles were raised and her claws extended. She almost tripped, when Mothpaw push himself in front of her.
The she-cats deep blue eyes, scanned the surroundings. There was no other noise, had a warrior discovered them? Duskclan? Dawnclan? The apprentice could not tell from which side of the border it had come from. "I did", Flamepaw responded, what had it been? The she-cat let out a low hiss, as she moved to stand in front of the Duskclan tom, she said, "Thanks for your concern, but your a medicine cat apprentice and I'm the one training to be a warrior." Her keen eyes were still scanning the undergrowth, when her heart dropped. There, off in the distance, she could make out a glimpse of a pelt. "S..someone is over there", Flamepaw quietly told Mothpaw. They needed to leave, maybe the other cat had not noticed them yet. "It's a cat, we should leave", the ginger tabby she-cat briskly hissed. Was the stranger a clan cat? Flamepaw did not recognise the cat. There was no way she could tell any Dawnclan cat that she had seen someone by the border, but...
Turning, Flamepaw pushed Mothpaw into the shadow of a nearby bush. "Tell a Duskclan warrior, that you noticed a stranger by the border, while you were out gathering herbs", Flamepaw instructed. "I... I don't know, I think it's not a clan cat", the she-cat added, a bit hesitant. Looking over her shoulder again, Flamepaw scand the area where she had seen the pelt. Nothing there anymore, had they been seen? "We should go", Flamepaw said, turning the apprentice was about to leave. The she-cat stopped though and quickly turned to Mothpaw again, she gave the Duskclan apprentice a peck on the cheek. Flamepaw, with a blush on her face, then raced off into Dawnclans territory. She needed to get back to camp, before anyone noticed that she had been gone.
On her way, the ginger tabby she-cat stumbled upon an unsuspecting squirrel. She literally stumbled over it, the fat thing had been stuffing its cheeks next to a large root, that Flamepaw had then jumped over. The she-cat, landing right next to the fat squirrel, had then quickly pounced and killed it. 'Well, that was easy', Flamepaw thought. Looking behind her, the apprentice made sure that the strange cat had not followed her. There was no one, the forest was still and the sky was still overcast. Flamepaw mused, even if the stranger had followed her, they could've never keep up. Flamepaw was, one of the fastest cats in Dawnclan after all. Picking up her prey, the apprentice headed for the Dawnclan camp.

Mothpaw | Duskclan | Medicine cat apprentice | 13 Moons old | location: territory | Mentions (D) Flamepaw, Blackstar (ID) |

His heart was pounding hard against his chest, had they been discovered? It's not like they were doing anything wrong and had something to hide. Right? Mothpaw pushed the thoughts away and scanned around them. It was hard to tell where the snap came from, but it sounded close. "Flamepaw I-" That's when he saw a flash of fur in the distance heading away from them, it was one he didn't recognize. The apprentice narrowed his blue eyes and opened his mouth to call the intruder out. He wasn't expecting Flamepaw to shove them both underneath a nearby bush. "It wasn't any cat from my clan," Mothpaw whispered to the she-cat, his heart still racing a million miles. "Alright, but be careful." The apprentice would probably get into trouble for being out alone without a warrior, but he didn't care. If any of his classmates had been here they would have chased the ginger cat away. The tom felt his fur puff out when Flamepaw placed a peck on his cheek.
Mothpaw lingered under that bush for a few more heartbeats before finally climbing out, and headed home. But first, he grabbed the herbs he had come out here for in the first place. Once the grey and white tom made it back to camp he quickly put his herbs away and set out to find Blackstar. "Blackstar may I speak to you." His whiskers twitched nervously as he approached the leader, but he knew that this stranger in their territory needed to be spoken about.

Cloudburst || 26 moons || Female || Dawnclan Warrior/Queen (4 weeks) || Long white fur with dilute tabby calico marks || polydactyl || Location{Dawnclan camp} || Mentions {directly-Hornetpaw} {indirectly-Gingerstar, Ravenblaze, Mousefur (NPC)}

The pale shecat let out a long sigh, "We'll find them..." she murmured, more to herself than anything. The queen held her eyes shut, fighting back the bout of depression she felt coming over her once more. It's not good for the little ones she thought to herself before opening them once more and looking straight out into the camp. "Have you and Ravenblaze been out herb-hunting recently?" she inquired in a solemn voice. Her chrystal blue orbits flicked over to the apprentice and she half smiled, "I think it might be good for me to get out of this den, maybe I can tag along the next time you two go out?" She didn't know what else she could do to motivate herself to leave the den if she wasn't helping in some way. She was trying to cope, and she felt the best way to do so now was to keep her mind on other things.

Vulturepaw || 10moons || Male || Duskclan apprentice {Mentor Redeye} || short dark brown/black tom with yellow eyes || deformed throat/trachea || Location {Duskclan Camp} || Mentions {directly- Redeye, Owlfeather} {indirectly- Sootpaw}

Vulturepaw found himself kneeding the earth in anticipation when he heard that he could go out. "I'll be a great shadow, I promise!" the young tom exclaimed. He was excited to get out of camp and do apprentice-y things instead of playing with his food all day!

((sorry it's short))

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|13 Moons Old|Ginger She-Cat|Location: camp|Mention(s) Directly: OPEN|Mention(s) Indirectly: Scorchwing, Gingerstar, Mothpaw, Cloudburst, Hornetpaw

Flamepaw reached the edge of Dawnclans camp, the ginger she-cat hesitated for a few moments. How was she going to enter the camp? She asked herself. Flamepaws mind tried to work it out, but there really was no way that she could sneak in without getting noticed. Letting out a sigh, Flamepaws shoulders slumped a bit. She was going to be in so much trouble. Shaking her head, the ginger apprentice set her shoulders. Stepping towards the entrance of the camp, Flamepaw walked inside. Better get it over with quickly, the apprentice thought, why prolong it.
As the ginger tabby she-cat walked though camp, towards the fresh-kill pile, Flamepaw noticed that patrols had been assigned. Many cats were already gathered in parties, talking together, and other were heading for the camp entrance. Making sure to not make eye contact with her mentor or catch Scorchwings attention for that matter, the apprentice neared the fresh-kill pile. Dropping her plump squirrel on the top of the pile, Flamepaw sat down next to it. She was pretty sure, that she still had Mothpaws smell on her, so she started to clean herself. Drawing her paw over her face, the apprentice was watching the camp. A slight smile came to her face, when she noticed Cloudburst and Hornetpaw talking. The queen was highly pregentant, Flamepaw looked forward to having some kits in the camp again. Flamepaw always liked, watching the kits traipsing around the camp. Sitting there, cleaning herself, the apprentice wondered if anybody had noticed her absence or her coming back to camp from an obvious hunt. Flamepaws deep blue eyes fell on Gingerstar, as the leader was organising patrols. Being a leader must be hard, the ginger apprentice thought. It definitely would not be anything for her, she would much rather be out and run through Dawnclans territory.

Umbraclaw|Dawnclaw Deputy|Mollie|Location: Dawnclan Camp|Mentions: Foxpaw, and Flamepaw

Umbraclaw would have no objections to Flamepaw tagging along as long as she didn't get in the way. Then as she began reminding Foxpaw of her strengths and weaknesses, she noticed that her apprentice wasn't paying attention. Now while she had told the ginger mollie this before, but she wanted to be sure that it was branded into that foolhardy head of hers. However it now seemed that she needed a lesson on why it was a bad idea to space out on her mentor.

With that, she would give her a chance to notice what was going on before rushing towards her to attack. Foxpaw's failure to pay attention would mean that she readily landed both blows which would hopefully remind her to pay better attention next time. Her apprentice was hardly defeated and would rush forward seemingly intending to ram her chest. However Umbraclaw really didn't like letting her opponents get close to her chest if she could avoid it. As while her proportionally longer legs offered her superior reach, they also left her belly more exposed due to the larger gap between it and the ground.

As a result, the black mollie would choose to sidestep her apprentice's attack which turned out to be a good thing as the younger cat had apparently been going for her belly. Yet she would still take a glancing blow to her front leg instead, but would then whip around in an attempt to lash at Foxpaw's hindquarters with her other foreleg.

⇺ [ Hornetpaw ] ⇻
18 Moons |•| Male |•| DawnClan |•| Medicine Cat Apprentice
Location: Camp |•| Mentions: Cloudburst, Ravenblaze, Swiftclaw (Directly)

•:•.•:•.•:•:•:•:•:•:•:•☾☼☽•:•.•:•.•:•:•:•:•:•:•:•

Hornetpaw shifted anxiously, concerned Cloudburst would sink further into her depression before she surprised him entirely by inquiring if she could attend a future herb gathering mission. “We’ve been out several times over the past two days, but I believe the marigold patch could use some tending. I’m sure Ravenblaze wouldn’t oppose to your company,” he agreed, immediately rising to his paws. “I’ll go ask him. In the meantime, try and eat a little more of this rabbit,” he encouraged gently, hopeful being given a task would help take the queen’s mind off of Mousefur.

Exiting the nursery, light green eyes scanned the camp in search of his mentor only to find the pale-furred tom immersed in conversation with Swiftclaw. He hesitated, tempted to wait for one or the other to depart. Hornetpaw knew Swiftclaw to become easily irritated. He’d ended up on the wrong side of her temper more than once, and as such had a tendency to avoid the older she-cat. Gathering his courage, he forced his paws forward, waiting for an opportunity to speak without intruding.

“Sorry to interrupt,” he started, gaze flicking between Ravenblaze and Swiftclaw apprehensively as if he expected to be scolded. “Ravenblaze, I was just speaking with Cloudburst and she was hoping to join us on our next outing,” he whispered, leaning closer to Ravenblaze in the hopes Swiftclaw wouldn’t eavesdrop. “Do you have any objections? I think it would do her some good to get out for a bit.” Cloudburst had far too much time to linger on her thoughts alone in the nursery. If Ravenblaze were to reject this suggestion he would have to find another way to help occupy her time.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Camp | Mentions: Owlfeather(direct), Redeye(indirect), Vulturepaw(indirect)

Sootpaw sat up as Owlfeather approached, eager to get started on whatever task she may have in mind. When Owlfeather informed him that it was time for his assessment, however, he was more excited than anything. He stood, but refrained from darting around the camp in joy. It was time, and Sootpaw was more than sure that he could do this. He wasn't going to be the apprentice that runs away for help. He was going to be the warrior that protected his clan!
Sootpaw was at a loss for words! ...especially when Owlfeather mentioned that Redeye and Vulturepaw would also be watching him. Sootpaw suddenly felt a new edge of nervousness. What if he doesn't succeed with the assessment? What if he makes a fool of himself in front of all three of them?
Sootpaw stood as tall as the little tom could. "I'm ready when you are." he said, plucking up his courage. He could do this. He's hunted squirrels before. As for the duck or the fish...well, there's a first time for everything. Fish move so quickly, Sootpaw wasn't sure he would actually be able pull one of the slick creatures out of the water. Ducks are a bit larger than anything he's ever caught, and he may have to fight a little to bring one down. Hmm. Sootpaw decided that he might try for a duck. There were usually some around this time of season, so hopefully he wouldn't have much trouble locating one. He really didn't like the idea of Redeye, an apprentice, and his own mentor witnessing him fumbling around in the water trying to catch a fish. No, that would be his last resort.

Dustpelt|Warrior of Duskclan|Leggy Calico Tom|Location: Duskclan Territory|Mentions:
Harepaw, Open

Dustpelt twitched an ear at Harepaw's question, bot amused and impressed the she-cat still had the energy to follow along, but he didn't protest the company. Instead he thought about her words with a light laugh.
"You might be surprised to know, I don't actually go looking for adventure, it just seems to always be knocking." He spoke quiet, and though his eyes twitched towards the apprentice his ears were swiveling rapidly to catch every little sound on the forest floor. As they neared the border with Dawnclan, his brow furrowed slightly. For a moment, he thought he could pick up the stronger scent of a clanmate coming from upwind. However with the stronger, more powerful scent of the two-legs he passed it off as just a strong scent marker.
Then, he heard it. The tiny scrabbling of claws over roots, the tell tale rhythm of a squirrel in the foliage. Tail raising, Dustpelt signaled for Harepaw, unaware if the she-cat had caught the sound. Crouching, he stalked forward on light paws. It was hard to imagine that he had once lived the soft life of a kitty-pet as his attention focused, and with a final few swivels of his ears he locked on, and darted through a clump of ferns with a hiss and a crack.

"It's no mouse but, beggars can't be choosers." His words were muffled through the fur in his jaws, but his eyes twinkled in glee. At least his apprentice wouldn't have to be hungry for long. dropping the prey down, he sat back and gave his paw a few good licks, looking around the forest.
"Tuck in then, we can do a short patrol up the border after this, maybe if we run into a Dawnclan patrol we can ask if they've had any unusual two-leg issues as well." He shrugged his shoulders.
"I doubt Blackstar will send Adderflight out, not since they've been a bit off from that leg injury." Dustpelt kept up the small talk, and though his musings were casual and light, it was clear his attention was half on the direction of the two-leg place.

Blackstar|Leader of Duskclan|One eyed Black Tom|Location: Camp|Mentions: Open

The patrol had organized itself, and Blackstar had a few moments of peace to rest his legs when a small voice entered his ear. Blinking open his eye, he could see the figure of Mothpaw looking at him, with a faintly nervous air about him. Giving a quick shake of his head to bring himself back to earth, Blackstar pushed himself up from the ground, nodding his head.
"Something troubling you, Mothpaw?" He was curious why the young tom was coming to him. Not that he didn't like his clan speaking their problems, but it was more likely for Mothpaw to speak with Fleetwhisper, as the medicine-cats had much more in common after all than the rest of the clan. For a brief moment, he wondered if someone else had gotten injured and he had slept through it, but the clan seemed calm as could be. So, instead of jumping to conclusions he focused all his attention on the tom before him, looking gently, but curious.

Foxpaw|Apprentice of Dawnclan|Small Ginger Tabby She-cat|Location: Camp edge |Mentions: Umbraclaw, Gingerstar, Flamepaw Open

Foxpaw felt herself miss the strike, and rolled back onto her paws, jumping backwards to get distance between her and her mentor. She felt the edge of Umbraclaws paw hit her back leg, but only enough to shift her path slightly. Foxpaw's hackles rose slightly, and it seemed like she was getting annoyed though it was unclear why. Again, she lunged forward, darting to the side and darting a few swift blows aimed for Umbraclaws back, her claws just barely contained as she sprang away again. Her muzzle wrinkled into a snarl, and it seemed as if she were about to say something when she heard Gingerstar yowl for a meeting.

Chest heaving, she glanced at Umbraclaw, knowing it would be rude to keep training when there were messages to be heard. So, hackles still raised she lowered herself from her on the toes position, and stalked towards where the clan was gathering, her ears tilted at their leader but eyes narrowed in annoyance. At the sound of a patrol however, her gaze twitched towards Scorchwing and Larkclaw. As the meeting closed, she shot a quick glance at Umbraclaw.
"I want to go on patrol." Her tone was almost a growl, and her claws kneaded the earth, digging up small tufts of grass.
"Whats better than some practical training? I'll never learn to really fight unless I can use my claws." she snorted, tail lashing. Her attitutde seemed to have grown more sharp in the past two days, and it seemed as if the she-cat was having trouble containing it.
"Flamepaw might also.." she glanced to where she had last seen her sister, but the other flame colored coat was nowhere to be seen.
'Whatever. I need to stretch, or I'll go crazy." She fixed Umbraclaw with her glare, half daring her mentor to tell her no, and keep her in the camp.

(Note: Feel free to give Foxpaw a no or a smack down as needed lol.)

Events: none yet. Get out into that territory y'all hah.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|36 Moons Old|Siamese She-Cat|Location: camp - territory|Mention(s) Directly: Redeye, Vulturepaw, Sootpaw, Weaselflight|Mention(s) Indirectly:

Owlfeather nodded her head, pride still shining in her eyes. Looking around, she spotted Redeye and Vulturepaw, the white warrior had also called Weaselflight over as well. If the cream colored warrior wiched to join them, he was more than welcomed too. Catching the white warriors eyes, Owlfeather lashed her tail in the direction of the camps entrance. Her way of ordering the patrol to head out. The siamese she-cat, headed for the camp entrance. She accepted the warriors and apprentice to follow her, Owlfeather let out a slight sigh. Sootpaw was having his warrior assessment, she felt more anxious than the apprentice probably was.
Reaching the outside of the camp, the deputy stopped. Turning to the other cats, Owlfeather gave Sootpaw a nod. "Sootpaw, you will head towards the River Stones from here on out. We will head there and meet you, once you have finished your hunt", the mentor said, pointing her tail in the direction of the River Stones. Moving forward, the she-cat placed her long tail on the young tom's back, "Great hunting", Owlfeather said, she had faith that Sootpaw would be able to do this. Stepping aside, the deputy gave Sootpaw a confident nod and sent him off.
Turning back to the remaining cats, Owlfeather let out a sigh. "The rest of you know what to do", the deputy said, giving the other cats a dismissing nod. The she-cat quickly climbed onto the nearest tree and disappeared behind the dense foliage of the trees.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Duskclan Territory >> River Stones| Mentions: Owlfeather(direct), cats watching the assessment(direct)

Sootpaw's nerves ebbed as Owlfeather wished him luck. If she believed in him, then he could surely make her proud by the end of this hunt! Sootpaw nodded and, with the nod from his mentor and one last glance at the others that would be keeping an eye on him, he was off.
Sootpaw had decided to head toward Training Valley, seeing as there seemed to be more Twoleg trails on the opposite side of the territory. That, and there would be fewer streams to cross going this route, which Sootpaw was grateful for. He didn't much care for working his way around water; the possibility of falling in was a bit undesirable. Rather than heading straight for the valley, Sootpaw was keeping to the forested edge around it. As he did so, he kept his eyes open for any unsuspecting squirrels to start the hunt off on a good note. Unless he suddenly came upon a duck, he'd save the more difficult prey for later.
Of course, it wasn't hard to locate one of those tell-tale bushy tails. It wasn't the nicest of skies, but it was still warm enough for squirrels to be out and about. It wasn't long before he was burying one to be picked up later. When he had snuck up on the thing, it must have seen him just before the pounce. A kill was a kill, he supposed. At least it was quick and clean. Now, time to find himself a duck. Though he had never attempted at bringing one down, he had seen a few before, waddling around close to the lake. Hopefully, any ducks he found wouldn't be in the lake.
Sootpaw began traversing his way around the edge of the lake, periodically scenting the air for the big birds he was searching for. While on his way, he briefly wondered if he was being watched right at this moment. He hadn't spotted any of them so far, but he knew that that meant nothing. Sootpaw refocused on his task and continued on his way, secretly hoping he wouldn't have to settle for finding a fish.
