 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

The candid king had returned, his elder lioness walking placidly by his side. This time, he brought her along simply to instill joy within the female. She always had loved cubs. Vikela was the first broodmother to catch their eyes, and the pair calmly approached. Wele's kind eyes held hers with a calm certainty, as his lioness looked the cubs over. When she returned, a smile flickered across her gaunt face. She tipped her in the direction of a gorgeous adolescent, reclining in the sun. The king grinned, and turned to the fiery Vikela. Hephaestus, her grand red pelt shimmering as she smelt of barbecue funnily enough, stood up as she approached them, looking over them as a cub nipped her tail before giving a disgusted look on his or her face. She smiled as she observed the couple, a chuckle rumbling in her chest strongly, "Heh, I'll be sendin' her over now if you want. Perhaps ya' want more? Or will that be all?" Serrotep pads softly into the cave, careful not to draw too much attention to himself. He keeps his head low, eyes hidden beneath the skull. He didn't wan't to seem like a creep. As he walks further in, he notices a few of the cubs playing quite fiercely, rolling about in a ball of fluff. They roll closer and closer, and as he pauses, he notices that it's actually a cub and male adolescent, his mane almost fully grown. They roll so close in fact, that they bump into his legs quite comically. The two of them look up at him, dazed but fine. The adol hops to his feet and smiles wildly at Serro. "Have you come to adopt us? I'm Tiger and this is Dapples! I like your skull mask! I'm a little hungry..." He continues quickly, without seeming near end. The smaller cub just shuffles her paws, covered in dust and her fur ruffled. Nervously, Serrotep sends a silent plea for help to the nearest lioness, gorgeous, pregnant, and with brilliant blazing fur. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Two new males, both primals, walked up to the broodmothers with confidence in their eyes. Clearly sent here, but the other pride's broodmothers aiding the normal ones were ultimately flabbergasted by them, quickly bowing in respect as the males smiled. "Our king said they'd like Alucard and Dusty, if possible," One of them, a deep onyx pelted primal, said to the group of broodmothers, just waiting for even one of them to respond. 0 players like this post! Although Vikela did not know these two lions, she recognized their scent. They were clearly allies. “Of course,” she said, signaling the cubs to come over. She gave each of them a quick nuzzle. “Be good, you two,” she said to them, and they followed the primal out of the den. (Ajksdgfddgks sorry this is bad but I’m tired) 0 players like this post! Serrotep strolls into the cavern. He's been visiting much more often than he'd like to admit. Today, as he looks around, he notices a new cub, one that most definitely catches his eye. Strolling over to the nearest lioness, a lovely pale one that looks tired with age, he inquires politely about the one labeled Murder. "She's quite pretty. the fiery faced, cedar pelted lioness had come here on her own. she'd heard rumors king imbasa was adopting out cubs and, quite honestly, her own pride could use some more. none of the lionesses were carrying at the moment and, if she were being honest, the pride could use some young ones frolicing around. she'd had her eye on one young cub in particular. Orbis padded into the cave, not having visited for a while. He looked at all of the cubs running and playing, his gaze falling onto Murder. He watched her for a bit, liking her red markings across her pelt. After watching her a bit more he walked over to Shelela, one of the lionesses watching over the cubs. "I'd like her if she is available please, I feel she'd be a wonderful addition to my pride as she grows," He said politely, gesturing to Murder. 0 players like this post! (Sorry for the long wait, I’ve been really busy.) @Cerb Ruin Shelela smiled, causing the wrinkles around her eyes to deepen. “Of course you can have her,” she said. She glanced over to the cub, who was attempting to tackle one of the younger broodmothers. “If you think you can handle her, that is,” Shelela added with a chuckle. @skadi Amabala purred. “She really is. I’m sure she’ll be a great addition to your pride,” she said, giving the cub a lick on the head before watching her follow the lioness out of the den. @OceWolf (Unfortunately someone claimed her just before you did, sorry) 0 players like this post! Byunhyun entered, or rather stumbled, into the cave. She... She did not look fit nor well, but utterly exhausted. Her beautiful, dawn-colored eyes were meaningless dark pits, sunken and tired, roaming around the cave. It had been several weeks since she had last visited, and the attractive heiress seemed to look a year older from the way her usually calm and collected appearance had been reduced to... this. You could count her ribs, evident while being plastered onto her sides. Her already thin frame became even more slender, and there was noticeable new scars on her now longer legs. What had happened? Despite her obvious exhaustion, both mentally and physically, Byunhyun forced an unhappy, superficial smile to grace her features. She nodded coldly to the other broodmothers before staggering towards Amabala. Behind her trailed three cubs and adoloscents, fur shaking and fearfully analyzing their new surroundings. "Here. Three new donations." She murmured quietly, voice as dry as salt. She winced at the loud noise of cubs tussling, looking like she would jump out of her pelt if startled enough.
