 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Soul walked into the cave, gazing at the cubs and adolescents that played and wrestled with each other. It always brought a smile to the aging king's face to see young ones, so full of life and energy. Freya and Ravage caught his attention in particular, as they chased each other around the cave. Soul watched them a bit longer before making his way to Shelela, a lioness that watched over the cubs. "I'd like those two little ones over there, if they are still available that is," He spoke politely and calmly, gesturing towards Ravage and Freya, who were now play wrestling. 0 players like this post! Queen Euphoria entered the adoption cave. Her primal body almost made it to where she couldn't fit. Her claw and tooth jewelry jangled as she approached nervously. She wasn't sure which broodmother to speak to so she padded up to the beautiful golden female. "Hello, my name is Euphoria. @Loey Amabala’s eyes widened in concern. The other broodmothers had also noticed, and Isiphepho came over to guide the three new cubs to some empty nests in the back. “Are... are you alright?” Amabala asked, stepping closer to the lioness and curled her tail around her gently, trying to comfort her. “Do you need food? Water? I...” she hesitated for a moment before continuing. “You’ve become such a close ally to our pride, I would love to help you in any way I can.” @Soul Shelela purred. “Of course you may have them,” she said. “They only just arrived today, I’m glad they’ve found a home so quickly.” @GoddessRya (I’m assuming you’re talking about Freya, who has already been adopted. Byunhyun chuckled dryly, not even a trace of humor present in the small laugh, her eyes briefly fluttering to a close. "I really dont need anything," She whispered with another forced smile. "I suppose I look like this since our king is getting older and older, and my pridemates have been shoving responsibilities, duties and their problems down my throat. Paired with that, I've been overworked to prepare myself to be next queen." She gently pried away the tail that brought her a sense of comfort for a heartbeat and turned around to leave. Lenore walked in, looking around. The leopon stomped her foot, and said "Hello, im back, and im looking for a cub. Her tail moved swiftly, looking around. Lenore looked at Ivy, and stopped. She looked at shelela, smiling, "May I have this cub? she looks just like my friend, who sadly, passed recently, and she reminds me of her, I would love to take care of her for you!" and she shook her fur, and said "here are a couple of cubs that you might like to take care of too.." Doja had been wandering down alongside a lush riverbank when a quick flash of color had caught his perceptive eyes. Investigating further, the kind of his pride found none other than a bold little lioness cub! After acquiring playful Ladybug's name, the older of the two learned that she had wandered off from her nearby broodmother- because of course you have to follow a bright shiny bug when you see it! Escorting the young one back to the safety of her caretaker, Doja couldn't help but to feel a tug of fondness in his big soft heart at the fiery spirit of the little cub. After seeking an audience with a shy, kind-eyed lioness named Amabala he explained his feelings and asked if perhaps the caretaker wouldn't mind allowing Ladybug a place in his family. It was certainly hard to contain the hopeful expression in his blue eyes as the nurturing lioness deliberated! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Joker walks around the cave, unamused, until a young male catches his eye. He approaches him and asks for his name. “Oh, uh, my name is Gray,” the cub quietly responds. Joker lets out a huff and walks over to a fierce-looking lioness with an alarming shade of orange mixed in her coat. “Can I take Gray with me to my pride? can i adopt King Ingonyama ok no but seriously im here to apologise to everyone: I'm sorry I haven't been sending many cubs to the Nursery! I'm getting ill and having terrible panic attacks as of recent, and my life situation has been declining and tl;dr: life hasn't been being kind to me. (Isiphepho, the eldest broodmother, has just passed away. Her position will be filled by Cula, a young clawless lioness. Coincidentally, King Ingonyama also passed away today... RIP. At least the new king, Imbasa, is doing a pretty good job.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Karstaag bowed before her grave, for even his slowly rotting regime was not enough to truly poison his heart. He smiled to the broodmothers, "I'm so sorry for your loss.." He said apologetically, but the lion looked much fuller, even having an astoundingly thick mane - sort of showing how many battles he must've won. He pushed his nose against the broodmother's heads in comfort, letting out a short 'purr' on exhale, patting Amabaia's head, possibly sensing she would be the most shaken by her loss. 0 players like this post!
