 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

(sometimes i forget i named her cheese) Hephaestus flexed her claws a bit, probably just woke up from a nap. But she wasn't grumpy enough to turn the lioness away, especially with her need to be polite in her book. She yawned, looking over at Cheese who was chasing her tail. "Oh? Her? Her name's 'Cheese', yeah. Last time we let another cub name our litters." She said, seeming pretty sarcastic and snippy, but for the most part, polite. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Peaches smiled and said “ I can take them both! Thank you so much!” Her tail twitched as she looked around. “ I’ll bring the cub as soon as possible. (Hey y’all someone just sent in a HUGE load of cubs so I have a ton to pick from! ...which also means my broodmothers are overwhelmed and one is nearing the end of her life and her replacement is still just a cub so please check out the cubs I have avaliable as well!) 0 players like this post! Baekhyun padded into the den gracefully and went to the new broodmother, Cula. Her ears perked up at the noise of the new cubs- A wild mess of furry bodies clambering about the den, she should say. Baekhyun shrugged and narrowed her eyes at Cula. "You've probably heard, my name is Baekhyun." She pointed her long tail towards Skylar and Athena. "I can see you and your broodmothers are having trouble with them. If you'd like, may I bring those two home?" She tilted her head to the side inquiringly, a soft purr of amusement escaping her muzzle. "Not to make your life a living nightmare, but I have my own several share of cubs that can be donated here. Baekhyun seemed to ponder over her answer, and the way she looked utterly tired and stressed. Baekhyun nuzzled the cubs and gazed at Cula as though she could see the lioness' thoughts. Lashing her tail, a thoughtful expression crossed her facial features. "I'll send some food and amusement items over to you later. It'll be delivered like a package. As for the cubs, I'll wait until the current ones are brought to new homes." She finally said after a long silence. Though her offer was kind, her voice was still void of any emotion as she exited the den, the two cubs scurrying after her quick pace. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Although she was always willing to take in more cubs, the den was certainly quite full, and the broodmothers were all busy. “Thank you,” she said to Baekhyun, before rushing away to separate a pair of cubs that had begun to fight. @Mange Ruin Vikela considered his offer for a moment. “I think we’re alright for now,” she said, “but I will let you know if we change our minds. A cotton-candy-like lioness with brown and red paint on her body, Dakota, gently pads in on her lonesome and looks around. At first she is confused but rapidly starts to understand. “Thank you Imbasa. I will look for a cub to join my pride. I appreciate it!“ Dakota quickly becomes excited, nodding to the broodmothers shyly before looking at every cub individually and spending time with every one of them. After a few hours she speaks to a lazy little pink cub about joining the pride, as she would fit perfectly. A beautiful Hawaiian name would be given and decor to fit her as well. After a few minutes Dakota picks up the cub and walks to Vikela. Dakota is a motherly lioness, and wants to make sure that the most protective lioness around accepts and agrees with her adopting a fine little cub. “hello Miss… Vikela. It's so nice to meet you. I wanted your kind approval for me to take this little pink cub home with me. She would grow to become a powerful queen by my side, and I will let her decide if she wants to be a broodmother or a huntress once she is an adolescent..
