 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

She’s doing great in her hunting lessons, I’m sure she’ll be a valuable addition to your pride.” @Romeo Amabala smiled a bit at the sight of the familiar male. “Certainly,” she said, inviting the adolescent over with a twitch of her tail. “I’m glad you can take her. Indlovu padded up to the entrance of the den, her fur shining in the sunlight. She looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of the beautiful lioness who had last visited her pride, but she didn’t appear to be around. Perhaps she was out hunting. Silently scolding herself for getting distracted, Indlovu approached the silky-furred broodmother, Aphrodite. “Hello,” she said, nodding her head in respect. “I thought I’d visit and check out the cubs. We’re in need of some new hunters.” She sat down, watching the cubs running and wrestling around her. One caught her eye, a colorful adolescent patiently entertaining some younger cubs. “Perhaps I’ll take her,” she said, pointing to Insomnia. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aphrodite perked up her head, her right eye looking cloudy. She smiled weakly, the female slightly raising up as she tried to bow in return, though the youngest female had to let her lean as Aphrodite let out a shaky mumble. She nearly shoved them off, an awfully uncharacteristic side of her. She took a minute to focus on Indlvou, tilting her head as she squinted. Though in a moment, her ears perked as she tried her best to keep her wits about her. With the loudest voice she could muster, which honestly, really sounded like a weak dog's cry, she spoke, "Oh..I'm sure she'll love it with you all," She hummed a little at the end, but as she laid down it was apparent even just that was taking toll on her. While Hephaestus watched with worry, she seemed in much better shape. Though they were close in age, the female was..coming down with something, to say the least. Hephaestus stood next to Aphrodite as shaky breaths characterized her body at the moment. "I'll send them to you right away," She smiled, though her age was showing as well, and a dark form almost loomed over the pride in a way as she watched the two dance off into the opposite territory. 0 players like this post!
