Matsi was panicking. “Banshee? Banshee?” He called, trying to wake her up.



As they arrived, the pack came out of the den to greet them. Nanook went straight inside to see Atlas and the pups. “How were things over here?” He asked his mate.

“No problems,” Atlas reassured him. The two cuddled and Nanook fell asleep with his head on her.


“I’m sorry,” Dakota said quietly. “I don’t know his name, he looked older, I don’t think it was one of her pups. I’m sorry you heard from me.” Dakota felt bad, in the moment he had forgotten what pain they must be feeling having lost a pack member. Dakota couldn’t bare to think how he would feel and they lost a member of their pack.

Nightwing sighed and tried to get Matsi to calm down. "quiet down" Nightwing said calmly. "She might just be exhausted from the fight, just give her a few moments" He added the calm tone was masking his panic.


Sol peaked in the den and looked at her pups then at Rhya, Her gaze lingered on her older daughter for a moment before turning around and walking away. Sol noticed Kato talking to Dakota and sighed. Sol walked over to Kato and Dakota. Kato looked at his mother "Who?" Kato asked. Sol sighed "Kato we are going to wait for Banshee and Nightwing to get back then we will deal with Anzar's body, Rums already waiting". "The old man? does Rapture know?" Kato asks. Sol shook her head she couldn't tell Rapture.

Matsi layed down beside, resting his nose by her paws, and watched her eyes to see when they would open.


“What do you think is taking them so long to come here?” Dakota asked Sol. “Should we go check on them or just wait?” Dakota truely felt bad for them, but they needed to make sure he livin pack members were alright before focusing on the dead. Right now there are four living wolves somewhere out there, and Dakota didn’t like this.

Banshee opened her eyes slowly and waited for them to focus on her surroundings. "well he was so rude, should of bit him when I had the chance" Banshee joked. Banshee's body ached all over but she knew they would have to move soon. "are you two ok?" Banshee asked she hoped they weren't hurt.


"they will be home soon, Banshee, Matsi and Nightwing are strong wolves. I trust them to make it back just fine but if you insist on checking on them, you can and I will join you as will Kato" Sol seemed just as worried as Dakota. Kato growls slightly. "You are worried don't act like your not, you just can't face them if they are injured" Kato began walking off towards the river. Sol gave a soft growl "fine you are right, I just...I've seen enough pain for today" Sol walks after her son.

“Oh god Banshee, I thought you were going to die!” Matsi was relieved she was okay. “Let’s get back to the densite.”

Banshee reluctantly got to her feet and smiled at Matsi. "I'm not going to die until I'm old and gray" Banshee replied. Nightwing walked behind Banshee and Matsi. Nightwing couldn't relax with Turbo on the loose and was struggling to believe Sol hadn't killed him.


Sol smiled at Dakota when she noticed he was following them.

Matsi could hear someone up ahead and the hair on his neck raised. “Who’s there?” He called.

“Matsi?” Dakota answered. “Good, you guys aren’t dead, let’s go,” Dakota said, annoyed. He turned to Sol. “Everyone’s safe and sound... do you want to go see Anzar and get Rum?” He offered.

Sol looked at Banshee and sighed. "I'm sorry I thought you were fine after I seen Matsi helping you my mind was focused on other things" Sol said as she noticed Banshee glaring at her. Sol looked at Dakota and gave a small nod. "Please I can't allow him to remain unburied much longer and Rum wasn't in the best shape when I left him" Sol added. even though she wasn't to happy about seeing Anzar's body again.

Banshee sighed understanding that Sol had other stuff to worry about not just her pups. Nightwing cleared his throat as if he was about to speak which gained Banshees attention.

“Alright lets head out,” Dakota announced. He was on edge, for some reason. After all the action he was having trouble calming down.

“Do you want to come to the densite with me? Or would you rather go with your mother?” Matsi asked Banshee. He didn’t want her to go if she was too weak but he knew that was a pack member.

Sol noticed how on edge Dakota seemed. "You doing ok?" Sol asked. Sol hadn't known Nanook's pack long but she already cared for them. Sol was worried about Dakota now. "Please try to relax" Sol added as she walked beside Dakota. Nightwing walked behind both Dakota and Sol. "Don't worry if Turbo remains on his own then he will die in the winter, I doubt any wolf with sense would joined that crazed beast" Nightwing says.

"I'll be going to the densite with Matsi, sorry" Banshee apologized to Sol. Sol nodded and turned to Nightwing. "Please accompany them back to the densite Kato and Nightwing" Sol requested. Kato and Nightwing did as he was requested to do as they followed Banshee and Matsi they became enveloped in their own conversation. Banshee looked at Matsi. "I felt that my mother wouldn't want me seeing her cry and I still don't feel right after that" Banshee replied.

“Ya, I’m alright.” Dakota answered, hesitant. “Let’s just hurry.” Dakota began walking towards the meadow.


“Ya, let’s get back to the densite. I’m glad you’re okay though,” Matsi told her. As they walk side by side Matsi suddenly realized how tired he was. They’d never had action like that and it really took a toll on him.

As they arrived at the densite it seemed that the pack felt the same way, because everyone was sprawled out on the grass, some sleeping. “Let’s get some sleep,” Matsi told Banshee. Matsi walked up to his brother Tamaska, who was already asleep. Not wanting to wake his brother, he didn’t sleep cuddling him this time. Instead, he curled up in a ball a few feet away. Catori was still awake tossing and turning.

“They better be grateful, all that we did for them. Could’ve got us killed,” she mumbled. Matsi looked at her, upset.

“We do nice things for others, Catori, try to wrap your head around that.” Matsi snapped at her.

Nomad rolled his eyes, watching his two siblings bicker. “Can you guys shut up and go to sleep.”

Matsi shook his head and then turned away from Catori. He expected her to take another shot but she let it be.

Nanook stood atop the hill and watched everyone settle in. Everyone was back and safe except Sol, Dakota, and Rum. Nanook trusted they could take care of themselves so he decided to turn in for the night. Atlas was already asleep and so were the pups.

Ahanu and Kai were curled up next to eachother, grooming and giggling in their own world.

Sol felt the tiredness sinking in and sighed. "All of this was for nothing, I am not made to be an alpha" Sol said quietly. Sol walked with Dakota but couldn't even manage a smile as they got closer to the meadow.


Banshee growled at Catori and gave her an aggressive glare. Kato sighed at his sister she was always easily offended, but he didn't have the energy to tell her not to start a fight. Nightwing fortunately did interfere. "Easy Banshee she is not worth the trouble, just go get some rest with your siblings, there has been enough pain and suffering today" Nightwing growled. Nightwing turned on Catori "as for you, stop trying to start a fight with us, we aren't all happy about this either you know, Let me remind you had our alpha not shown up when she did your alpha could have been killed, I also don't remember you helping your own pack fight so I'd be careful about what I say if I were you" Nightwing snarled.

“You have a beautiful family... minus Turbo. Without all this you would’ve never had them. Without being an alpha you never would’ve had the chance of having pups,” Dakota told her. “We’re getting closer to... his body. Do you want me to stay here to give you space?” He offered.


“My pack is weak. And so is yours. You all think that joining forces will help anything? Two weak packs don’t make a strong one, if anything—“

“Catori!” Nanook shouted. He climbed down the hill, Ahanu and Anoki quickly joining him by his side. “Excuse my daughter, she’s all talk. Come with me.” Catori was hesitant, but followed. The four wolves walked just into the trees and began talking, Catori on one side and the three males on the other. Matsi could just see her with her ears flat to her head and tail tucked under herself. Nanook and Ahanu can’t back to the pack while Anoki and Catori stayed there. “Everyone back to sleep. We had a long day and it will be dark soon.” Nanook looked exhausted and climbed back up the hill. Ahanu rejoined Kai, but was no longer cheerful, instead he closed his eyes and went straight to sleep.

"I guess you are right I do have much to be thankful for" Sol replied. "Please stay here, I'll send Rum to join you in a moment" Sol added. Sol walked to Anzars body and sent Rum back to Dakota. Rum looked at Dakota. "Thank you, I'm Rum its a pleasure to meet you" Rum introduced himself calmly.


Nightwing dealt with banshee also giving her a lecture although making sure it was a quiet one. after he was done the Remaining wolves of Sol's pack lay down in a group away from Nanook's pack so no other pointless arguments happened between them.

“I’m Dakota... you’re not one of her pups?” Dakota asked.


Sometime as the sun set Catori came back to the group to sleep and Anoki approaches Banshee. “Hello, would you like to join me for a walk? There’s a small but beautiful waterfall near here.” The elderly wolf asked.
