Banshee looked at Anoki and got up with out any complaints. "Sure, I will walk with you" Banshee replied. Banshee smiled slightly. Sol had made sure her daughter knew how to respect elders.

“Ah, I see. It must hurt you to have your brother turn on you all.”


“I am sorry for my granddaughters behaviour,” Anoki said. “She’s always been a troubled girl. Don’t let her scare you off. Nanook loves his children very much, but he struggles to see Catori for who she really is. They all believe her to be harmless, at least, they appear to think that, but I’m not so sure. I doubt she’d do anything to hurt you, but just don’t trust her.” Anoki was trying to be careful of what he was saying. He didn’t want to scare the female off, but he wanted to make sure she was safe. “Catori doesn’t seem to have many emotions, she has a lot of anger. For what reason I don’t know, she had the same childhood as the rest of them. She’s just always been aggressive and violent as a pup. But, she seems to be able to keep it under control after we go on walks.”

As Anoki spoke they finally made it to the river. This part was rocky and shallow, and there was a small trickling waterfall. “This is my favourite place,” Anoki said, sitting near the water. “Isn’t it calming?” He closed his eyes gently, taking in the scents and sounds of the wilderness. “I want you to feel welcome here, and just know that Catori treats her siblings just as horribly. Don’t feel targeted.”

"My brother has always been aggressive but I honestly didn't think this would happen, Its more hurtful for Sol and their pups than it is for me, I really didn't think my brother would ever kill but here we are waiting for soul to finish mourning her father figure" Rum replied.


"Catori sounds like what I hear my father used to be like as a young wolf, I would hate for her to go down the wrong path as he did, even though she gets under my skin nothing could be worse than having a fate like my fathers, but I'm not sure how that is avoidable" Banshee says. "its relaxing here, It really feels good to be here" Banshee agree's with Anoki. "Its alright Catori can try as hard as she wants to make me leave but I'm not going to leave not when I'm wanted" Banshee finished.

“It must be hard for her. I’m curious, why did she start a pack with him anyway?” Dakota asked, hoping not to offend.


“Good, I’m glad to hear it,” Anoki said. “Well you must be tired, I’ll let you sleep. Let’s go.” Anoki began walking back to the densite. When he got there, Nanooks pack were all asleep, and he layed down a little ways away from the group. His bones were tired and his body ached. He didn’t think he had another winter in him.

"I'm not sure turbo probably acted decent to her or acted like someone else to gain her trust, I joined them only after they had already become mates, I could see how in love she was with him but he never had any attachment for her from the start as far as I could tell" Rum replied. Sol rejoined them after a few minutes. Sol's paws were covered in mud and she seemed happier than before. Sol had let her feelings out in private and after saying goodbye to Anzar, had oddly felt much more calm and comfortable.

Banshee followed Anoki back to the densite and walked back over to her siblings and Nightwing. She curled up with them and slowly drifted off to sleep. Banshee was happy her siblings had survived their fathers attack.

“Alright, let’s get back and get to sleep. It’s almost dark.” Dakota said. He walked back to the densite and instinctively went to sleep by Ahanu but saw Kai there. So instead, he joined three pack and slept right in the middle.

Sol and Rum curled up with their pack once they had returned to the denstie both were exhausted and it didn't take long for them to get to sleep.

One Month Later...
One moth after dealing with Turbo, the two packs have managed to live together in harmony. The threat of winter seems so far away with all that the pack has gone through. However, it’s impossible to ignore the summer nights getting colder. In the back of everyone’s mind is the impending doom they’ve been trying their best to ignore.

Nanook and Atlas were sleeping peaceful when suddenly a weight began pressing on Nanooks back. He squeezed his eyes shut trying to ignore it but the weight began moving up onto his neck and then his head. Nanook opened his eyes and looked up to see Navaeh sitting on his head staring at him.

“Good morning!” She squeals. Nanook shakes her off and looks at Atlas who is smiling with her eyes shut, trying to stay asleep.

“Where are he others?” Nanook asks, noticing none of the pups in the den. Navaeh smiles then runs outside. Nanook stands and walks out to see all the pups bugging the other pack members. Paytah is laying on his belly playing with Dakota’s tail, Akela is chasing a butterfly, running over top of his older brothers and sisters, Elu is trying to chat with Catori who is clearly annoyed and ignoring her, and Wenona is pretending to hunt Akela.

These were the roudiest pups he’s ever had. After two litters he thought he’d have the hang of this. “Dakota,” he calls. Dakota looks up, tiredly, at his alpha. “Why don’t you go for a hunt.”

Excited to have a reason to get away, Dakota stands, gently kicking Paytah away. “We’re going on a hunt,” he announces, voice booming.

Instantly, all the wolves rose and sat around their lead hunter. Even Wenona tried to join in. “Not you,” Dakota said coldly. “Once you catch a rabbit by yourself you can join in.”

“A rabbit?” Matsi says. “We never had to—“

“Shut up Matsi.” Wenona was clearly stronger and more mature than her siblings and Dakota wants to test her skills. He knows she will be able to hunt sooner than her siblings, in around 5 months. However, Dakota is getting older, and by the time she’s 2 she should be prepared to take over for him.

Banshee looked up at Dakota "I'll tag along so will Kato, Rhya and Sorrow. If you are ok with that, I'm sure they wont complain either way" Banshee says. Kato seemed half asleep as usual and Rhya was excited which was normal for her. Sorrow sat quietly in front of Banshee and seemed down which was abnormal for her.

Nightwing had walked off early in the morning and Rapture had gone with him, It was normal to hardly see Rapture and Nightwing anymore they left early and returned late no one was sure what they were up to but trusted that they were not doing anything bad.

Tamaska could see Sorrow and went up to her. “You okay?” He asked, sitting next to her.

“Everyone ready?” Dakota asked, standing then beginning to walk into the forest. The hunting group was much larger now. they were a group of eleven. With so many wolves hunting, Nanook can stay behind and teach the pups. He doesn’t say it, but Dakota can tell he’s teaching them differently than the rest. He’s trying to make them tougher. It might just be from having so many pups that he’s not so gentle with them, but it seems like he’s been listening to Anoki’s advice on raising stronger pups.

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just worried about Rapture" Sorrow says. Banshee sighs and remains silent trying to stay out of the conversation. Banshee looks around for Matsi. Kato yawns "lets go hunting already guys Dakota is leaving so hurry up now" Kato says. Kato gets up and follows Dakota. Rhya was already ahead of Kato she was eager to hunt. Banshee got to her feet "Sorrow I need you to focus on the hunt, I want you to prove to me that you can handle this, You are a good wolf and I don't want you wasting your talent like Kato does" Banshee said as she gave Sorrow a warm smile.

“Why are you worried about Rapture?” Tamaska asks, standing to follow Dakota.

Matsi walks up beside Banshee to join her.


Dakota rolls his eyes at the chatter behind him but still tries to hide a smile. His pack has been so happy lately.
