“Ya, I’m fine,” Matsi said cheerfully. “Hey, uh, where’s your mom?” He asked, looking around.

Kai wasn’t feeling great once her and Ahanu got to the densite. Quietly, she slipped away inside the den. Atlas had her eye on her and quietly slipped in after her. Anoki, watching the pair, approached Ahanu.

“Are you looking forward to Kai’s pups being born?” Anoki asked the large wolf.

“Yes, of course. With winter coming, though, they couldn’t come sooner.”

“Well, it won’t be much longer,” Anoki said, gesturing to the den. Ahanu’s ear went back and tail tucked slightly between his legs. He stared at the den with his mouth open.

“No-now?” He asked. Anoki laughed. He seemed like he just saw a zombie. Ahanu nodded.

With hesitant steps, he walked to the opening of the densite. He looked back, afraid, at Anoki, then stepped inside.

“What’s going on?” Akela asked his father.

“Kai’s giving birth. There’s going to be a few more like you,” Nanook told his son. He watched as Paytah stalked up to the den. His small head looked inside and his ears perked up then he ran away.

“Not what you were expecting?” Nanook laughed. Paytah shook his head, eyes wide.

"oh umm...she was here before we left but I'm not sure maybe Rum knows where she went" Banshee says. "I need to ask your mother and father something as well but I'm not sure how they will feel about it" Banshee adds. "You want me to come with you Matsi?" Banshee asks.

"You can go talk to my... father. I don't know where my mother is... where is everyone?" Matsi asked, confused. Anoki chuckled at the wolf's words.

"Matsi, your sister is giving birth. You're going to be an uncle," Anoki said with a smile. Matsi smiled as well.

"And you're going to be a grandfather!" Anoki's smile fades and Tamaska laughs from a little ways away.

Tamaska walks up to Matsi and Banshee and nudges his brother playfully. "Dad, Ahanu... when's it gunna be your turn?" Tamaska asks, waiting for a reaction. Matsi just stares at his brother until he finally walks away.

"Sorry about that..." Matsi said to Banshee, embarrassed.

"I might have a talk to your father first" Banshee replies. Banshee smiles and looks at Anoki. "How are you feeling lately Anoki?" Banshee asked. Banshee sighs when Tamaska joins in the conversation. "Tamaska my son fear not, your time will come someday soon" Banshee calls out in an older voice. Banshee laughs quietly and looks at Anoki. "sorry its not meant to target you, it just felt weird saying it in my normal voice" Banshee apologized.

“I’m feeling alright my dear,” Anoki answers.

“I’m going to see Kai, why don’t you go talk to my father.” Matsi says before leaving to the den.

As he approaches, Kai has finished delivering. She lays on the ground, tired. Atlas lays so her daughters head can rest on her body. At her stomach, three small pups. Matsi remembers his mother’s newest litter and notices how much larger his sisters pups are. Kai smiles at Matsi.

“Two boys, Bane and Davor, and a little girl, Eva.” Matsi looks down at them. They are fairly dark, like Ahanu. Ahanu sits behind Kai and stared at them. At first he seems scared, but Matsi can see the love in his eyes.

"Thats good but let me know if you aren't feeling good and I will try to help you out" Banshee says. Banshee smiles at Anoki, Banshee had a soft spot for the older wolf. "Anoki do you know where I can find Nanook?" Banshee asked. Banshee liked talking with Anoki but knew she couldn't avoid talking to Nanook.

Dusk steps in front of Falco before he can charge towards the patrol of wolves. Yon is whining and hiding behind Elska who's rolling her eyes at him. Dusk looks back to the three before trotting forward to the wolves.

"I am Dusk, this is my pack," he says jutting his tail towards the three, Falco now growling as Elska smacks his head with her paw. "My mate, she's pregnant and we ask for some shelter under the cubs are able to leave with us." Dusk's yellow eyes look back to wolves in hope theyre friendly.

Nightwing stayed silent and looked at Sol. Sol seemed calmer than he was and he looked back at the wolves watching them closely. "I can not say who is allowed to enter the territory and who is not, that is not my place" Sol states calmly. "Rapture go get someone else" Nightwing ordered the smaller male. Rapture took off and soon disappeared out of sight he was fast for a blind wolf.

Dusk looks back to the three wolves and flicks his tail for them to trot up. With Falco in lead and Yon crying as he's dragged, the small pack stands near each other. Falco glowers at Nightwing for no apparent reason and Elska stomps on his paw. "I'm Elska, this is my cub Falco and this is Yon he's just.," she says as he remains flat against the ground.

"Our beta," Dusk says before lowering his head to nudge Yon to stand. He frowns and keeps his ears and tail down.

"I am Sol and the wolf beside me is Nightwing, I was an alpha but am no longer an alpha and Nightwing never had a rank but his main job is to protect the territory from strangers, he takes a while to warm up to others" Sol says. Nightwing glares at Falco and let out a snarl before Elska stomps on Falco's paw. "Please don't show aggression towards him he doesn't take too kindly to threatening behavior" Sol warns the wolves.

Nanook day on top of the hill watching his growing pack. His newest pups played amongst each other while the older ones lounge. His oldest daughter just gave birth in the densite behind him, he was a grandfather. Nanook was excited that together they’d have seven pups to raise through the winter, but he feared they cut it too close. The nights began to frost and the summer air was getting cooler. Only a few more nights, he guessed, until winter would come to stay. It was early but it was inevitable.

Banshee quietly approached Nanook. "Nanook do you have a moment?" Banshee asked. Banshee timidly approached him which was unusual but she didn't know how he would react. "I have something to ask you, If I may" Banshee said calmly. Banshee straightened herself up and decided a confident pose would be better. "Its a very Important question for me" Banshee added calmly.

"well I have recently found myself in a position I had never thought I would ever be in but Matsi seems to have stolen my heart so I was wondering if it was ok with you if I could become his mate, I may not seem suitable but I feel that I could make him happy and I would do anything for him, I know you have more important things to deal with so I wont waste anymore of your time, I did want to talk to you and Atlas at the same time but she is busy so I haven't asked her yet" Banshee blurted out hoping the alpha could make sense of it. Banshee looked at Nanook with slight embarrassment.

Nanook smiled at this. “I can see that he feels the same way, but it’s not up to me to say whether or not you two can be together, it’s up to him. I know this is custom to most packs, but in ours we value family, not just blood relatives, but all family. You are family, Banshee. You and Matsi can make this decision together. If you and Matsi become a pair, one of you will join the council with Anoki, Ahanu and I. It’s to make sure each family is happy and in agreement for the greater good of the pack. Matsi doesn’t like conflict, maybe you will join the council. Not too many responsibilities, you just speak on behalf of your mate and pups whenever a decision needs to be made. I wish you two happiness, Banshee.”
