So far people can inbreed their lions without consequence but with the addition of mutations I think it would be realistic to have inbreeding cause mutations in cubs too. So if you inbreed your lions theres also higher chance of a cub being born with a mutation

(correct me if this is already a thing)

Since in real life lions inbreed all the time, and it doesn't cause much of a problem, how about it just adds a small percentage of chance? Like 1 or 2% more(depending on preexisting chance)? o3o

Inbreeding in any sense is going to lead to deformities. So, I vote yes. Not a 100% chance of course, but noticeably higher chance than if they weren't being inbred.

I support. c:

I was wondering why they didn't add the chance when they introduced mutations, actually.

I think the reason real life lions don't suffer much because of inbreeding is because there is enough non-inbreeding going on to prevent such problems =)

It's not a closed population where they're being bred constantly to relatives, so I think it'd be more realistic for inbreeding to give a bit of a chance to mutate ^^

Though this would probably only encourage inbreeding further XD but I support, regardless

I do not support. That would make mutate cubs too common, I already know that D:

At the least I think there should be a significant fertility decrease

There are way too many inbred lions on LioDen already for this to be effective, not to mention people are breeding for mutations at this point. Do not support.

Or maybe make only certain mutations possible through inbreeding, such as the lethal ones so inbreeding would be something to avoid

Never avoid inbreeding, mwuahaha! (Once had a pride that were ALL related, ehehe)
For lions inbreeding is completely natural and a pride usually never consists of unrelated lionesses or else fighting happens. So usually a pride is made up on aunties, cousins, sisters, mothers and daughters and so long as the male can maintain is throne then he breeds with all his relatives, including daughters and mother!

Not necessarily so Kraft, its true inbreeding does happen in lion prides but there usually is enough outbreeding before it gets too much. Mutations in Lioden could just increase the more a lion is inbred, since realistically in real life a lion isnt going to be in command long enough to father GENERATIONS of inbred lions

I agree with tinbra, it would make mutations too common.

No support. I don't feel as though I should be punished or forced to use outside studs so my cubs don't die.
I feel it is realistic enough.
Unless you freeze your account with your lion, he wouldn't be able to breed his cubs for more than 3 or 4 generations at most, unless age stones were used on them.

I don't give my support due to the fact that some people don't like breeding out of their den and only work with NPC Lionesses they worked to get on their own. This would ruin the authenticity of their own gameplay thus making them not want to continue. Also, it would make a great influx in genetic mutations so that they wont be all that rare any longer. What is the point of mutations if half the population of lions have it? It was a good idea but I'm sorry to say I cannot give my support on it. :(
