So far people can inbreed their lions without consequence but with the addition of mutations I think it would be realistic to have inbreeding cause mutations in cubs too. So if you inbreed your lions theres also higher chance of a cub being born with a mutation

(correct me if this is already a thing)

I think this is a good idea. I've been on this site for around 8 months and have only gotten a single mutation. She was born by mere chance and as someone who is unable to actually buy gb with real money and can only buy sb>gb offers I've spent a lot of GB on various items to raise the likelihood of a mutation.

One particular time I used crb on a 1% fertility lioness with a mutie to a mutie king.(items were bought to get her to 1% and mutie as well as spending Sb for stud) . I bred her at least 4 times after her mutation and fertility were changed she didn't even give me a adult mutie present cub.

I do not have 100+ Gb to buy a leopon or whatever; While happy to have a regular primal I don't really like the way they look - male or female.(my king was not born a mutie, I used an item, Kurama was sheer luck at the TC , and I got Tessian in a raffle.

I want a fatal mutie pretty much only for the achievement and really am always peeved when someone says that it's "already too easy" I don't have the resources to have a gb fueled army of lionesses.

(Sorry this has turned into a bit of a rant, i'm just really angry about this)

Honestly I dont really get why people are saying this would hurt heir game play and cause them to breed more outside their den? It just increases a chance of mutation, something that could already happen anyways? Its not like the idea was to increase just leathal mutations?
Another way to curb that could be each inbred generation increases the chance of a specific mutation? Something aesthetic, like multiple toes or something. That way all mutations wont see an influx, and it doesnt hurt your game play. But you could get a cute art mutation? And still kinda have to work for it (at least be playing the game for a while).
Edit: Just read a post that mentions coders said it would be near impossible because of how the coding is stuck a certain way and would have to be wiped. If thats the case, this topic should probably be locked? And maybe a sticky post put up about it somewhere so similar things arent brought up or this issue is known to more people? Would probably save a lot of posts lol.

I agree with ChaosDeath (#2790; page 2). I like my lion with his markings and stuff so please stop trying to force people to stud to other kings. Everybody plays LioDen the way they want it to play.

I think there could easily just be a seperate mutation for inbreeding, so that it would be special. It can not happen by any other means than inbreeding and isn't lethal.
The more inbred the lion, the more likely it is to happen. It should still be relatively rare however and not effected by mutation items.

That way, everyone can be happy in some form.

No support, sorry.

I feel as if some people who are against inbreeding on-site would leave due to the fact that everyone would be breeding siblings together just to get a mutie.

There's actually a species of gorilla that is suffering from stuff like this and one of the issues has been huge decrease in fertility. So inbreeding wouldn't necessarily have to result in mutations, it can have issues in other areas. Very much support inbreeding consequences.

This has not been explicitly stated to be rejected, although t would take a lot of coding. But, this could be a thing. Perhaps their survival chance drops a lot, or it even leads to a lethal mutation. The lion(ess) would have to be extremely inbred, however, and would still have very slim chances of occurring. Maybe as slim as Cyclopia!

The realistic things that happen with inbreeding felines are immune deficiencies, more congenital abnormalities, felines that don't grow to their potential (smols, basically), crooked noses, misaligned jaws, abnormal eye set and asymmetry. Male and females may experience low fertility and cancer is more common in younger cats. Immune system deficiencies are clear if half a litter or a group of adults die from a simple infection.

So, some of the mutations that would have a slim chance of occuring where we can see the lineart would be some variation of dwarfism, crooked noses, misaligned jaws, abnormal eye sets and general asymmetry.

for now, no support. players who attempt to keep inbreeding out of their pride(like myself, though im still working on getting the completely clean pride) should not be punished for avoiding inbreeding. an increased mutation chance wouldnt be fair, since this is a site where mutations are something to be desired. however, inbreeding should at least have some consequences. decreased stats, decreased fertility, etc. maybe even a higher chance of producing the albino base?
(something to point out: decreased fertility could count as a higher chance for mutations)

I dont agree, yeah it could have something like clawless and deaf cubs popping out but still I dont feel like this is a right thing to be added, the whole Lioden has bred and is still breeding through relatives with relatives to get certain bases, and it did so in years and years, what I mean is that it is just a too big change, and many users might be upset with this thing popping out all of the sudden, when they played the game like that for so many years

No support for the same reasons as Archeops. Clean breeders would basically be taking a penalty when trying for muts while avoiding inbreeding.
