Lucifer laughed at Michael's statement. "Our women need not to protect themselves, for our men are strong enough alone." he responded. It was true most of the women didn't have to fight, mostly because the men wouldn't let them but the few of them who did could fight. Allison was not one of those. She was one of the ones who grew up to be pretty and not allowed to fight. She cut her eyes at Adrian but Lucifer growled at her. "Now, now. Be nice, we came into their space. It's rude." he told her in probably the nicest voice he'd ever used. It was pretty fake sounding but Allison obeyed. Lucifer looked at the female, "It's quite alright, touch my son and the same would happen to you. I would never blame you for feeling this way. Hopefully we will not have to shed any blood over this." he said as he turned away from them with a somewhat evil grin. Allison and the other man followed Lucifer out. Allison feeling a bit embarrassed by how everyone spoke about her, including Lucifer. It made her a little bitter.

Once Lucifer arrived home, he spoke with Draco once more. He let him know that if he got caught with Ava for any reason, he was going to kill her. Allison also gave Draco a piece of her mind when she got in. They fought for what seemed like hours. He didn't quite understand why she was so mad. He had no feelings for Ava. Or at least he didn't think he did. Not yet anyway. He didn'twant anything bad to happen to her though and he did consider her somewhat of a friend now.

The trio of the home pack headed home once the others were gone, Adrian muttering angry words. Once home Lucy knocked onto Ava's door, the girl allowing her mother in. "If you ever meet Draco you run, that or you kill him. Understood?" these were the first words oujt of her mothers mouth. "What? Why?" Ava questioned, a very confued tone to her voice. It was then that her mother explained what had just happened. "I should've killed her, she's the biggiest pain ever! I was just enjoying some time alone and she went phsyco on me!" Ava was seriously annoyed at Allison. "You gave her a damn good bite" Adrian chuckled as he walked past, heading to his own room within the house. By this time Chris had headed to the spare room, where he would be staying until the wedding. lucy hugged her daughter closely to reassure herself. "We love you, please give Chris a chance" she whispered to her daughter. Ava heaved a sigh "fine" her reply was soft, she loved her mother dearly.

Now the older woman left the room, leaving her daughter to her thoughts. Most of these thoughts were about what could happen if her and her new friend met again. It made her shudder thinking about it.

Draco's family was keeping a ridiculously close eye on him for the next few weeks. He avoided going into the forest for fear of seeing Ava and having to avoid her. He had stayed home in close range to his parents and Allison until one night when three of his friends arrived wanting him to go out with them. He was a bit reluctant to go but he did finally agree. They went to a familiar place within the family territory. All of the guys around Draco's age would be there. It was like a huge get together. It was something they did every night of the full moon. They were high up on one of the cliffs that looked out over all the land. You could see everything up there. It was quite beautiful. They usually went up there to tell stories and just act like a bunch of typical guys. It was one of Draco's favorite places but he didn't come here hardly ever just so that it stayed special to him. He wouldn't find the party very fun for very long. Especially since his friends had their eyes on some of the ladies that had been invited this time. Draco would soon be leaving them.

Ava had spent this time bothering to get to know Chris, and he was actually an alright person. The pair of them though had discussed that they were nothing more than friends, but for their families they would put up a facade. They would go for walks together, she felt like she could actually talk to him about how she felt. Tonight they'd gone for a walk, although a few friends would be joining them soon. This was their monthly run, the one she always took with those she called her friends. It was simply a frenzy of running, getting lost in the woods and simply being free. Walking along she felt someone jump onto her back, it was her best friend Elise. "The rest of the crew with you?" she asked, raising a brow. Soon enough some voices hit her ears, making her smile. Moving from Chris's side she ran and hugged her friends, allowing the two to have a moment. You see, Elise and Chris had feelings for each other but neither parents would allow it. Ava and his engagement gave a perfect cover for their relationship and she really didn't mind it.

Once they'd all rallied together they simply took off running, allowing their legs to take them wherever they wished. Ava shifted to her wolf form, she felt more free that way. She allowed her paws to lead her about, not actually paying any attention to where she was going in the slightest.

Draco sat at the campfire with his friends for awhile before he began to feel out of the loop. They were so interested in the girls and he felt alone. Truth was he could have any girl he wanted, he was as handsome as they came but he often felt that it was his looks and who he was that drew girls to him. He didn't feel like they liked him for who he was as a person. One of the girls who fancied him pretty well had approached him and they had a moment because he did like this girl but not as someone he wanted to be with forever. It was probably one of his only female friends within his pack. She just so happened to be friends with Allison but she knew how Draco felt about her and she didn't blame him. She laid down with him for awhile which did offer Draco some comfort but after awhile he got up. "I'm sorry, Leda, I have to go." he said as he got up. He was halfway down from the cliff when he heard a howl, it was Leda, she had shifted. She was telling him goodbye with a happy howl. She knew he was unhappy with his life and she cared deeply for him but she also knew he didn't love her and she was okay with that. Draco shifted and returned the howl but it wasn't a happy howl, it was a mournful howl that lasted much longer. Leda felt sorry for him, she turned and returned to the party

Draco wanted nothing more than to please his parents but Allison was really a thorn sticking in his side. He walked slowly under the moonlight, it made his white fur appear to glow. He walked completely into no man's land. He had no destination, just mindlessly walking to escape his thoughts. He came across a lake and laid beside it, looking at the reflection of the starry sky and himself. It was quite and peaceful here. No Allison, no noisy party reminding him that he was forced to be with a girl he had began to hate.

Ava twitched her ears distance, one was joyful and the other not so much. She didn't wish to know what had happened there, but she didn't think it could be anything good. Soon thought she was back to her own thing, it wasn't her own pack so it didn't really bother her that much. As she ran she jumped off of rocks, swerved through trees, anything to enjoy the run she was having. She let out a loud howl of joy before she left into no mans land, still just letting her paws carry her where they pleased. Her parents wouldn't expect her back until at least dawn, which was typical every month.

After a few more minutes of running she spotted a white wolf by a lake, causing her to come to a halt. Taking in a few sniffs she recognized the scent, but was nervous to approach. Instead she tried to back away, remembering what would happen if they were so much as seen in the same place. However her stealthy retreat was ruined by the loud sound of snapping sticks. You idiot! she scolded herself mentally, although her body froze. She was like a rabbit in the headlights, completely unable to make a single muscle move. Well there was one thing that moved, her mouth into a rather sheepish smile. She looked completely ridiculous. Her front right paw was frozen half step, her body stretched out to show her retreat backwards. Her heart raced, she prayed he wouldn't hear the stick but it was highly unliekly.

Draco was watching the soft movement of the water. Studying the reflection of the stars and avoiding looking at himself. He sat up and looked at the sky for a moment when he thought he heard something. He thought he heard the faint sound of an unknown howl but it was unclear. He laid back down looking at the water. His face flat on the ground, blowing the small flowers in front of his nose as he breathed in and out. He was starting to doze off when he heard a snapping sound which jolted him awake. He jumped up and looked around, ears flat against his head. After a few moments he laid back down but he seemed agitated and alert now, looking around as he laid there.

Ava watched as he got to his feet, scanning the areand then lying back down. She finally let her breath go, not having realised she was actually holding her breath. Luck is on my side... She thought to herself, right before walking straight into a tree. Really Ava!? Straight into a tree you genius! she thought to herself in anger. However the incident had given her chance to think, she did want to see how he was doing. "Draco" she called out in a hushed whisper. "It's me, Ava" the same tone was taken for this too. She allowed herself to step into the light a little, revealing herself. She didn't want to get too close, after all it could be dangerous. "How are you?" she asked him, it was clear she wanted to know. There was a thought at the back of her mind though, a legend sort of thing they had about this run. It was stupid really and she managed to avoid thinking about it for the most part.

Draco jumped up again at the sound of Ava's voice. He didn't realize it was her until she said so. He had heard what would happen to her if they were caught together again. He didn't want to but he reacted the way he thought he should. He snarled at her, "I'm fine. Why don't you just go away." he growled as all the hair on his back stood up. His ears still laid back, teeth bared, and his brows furrowed. He knew this was how he must act but part of him wanted to apologize about her for what Allison caused. He hoped Ava wouldn't see through it. He knew she always wanted to see the good in people.

Ava wasn't expecting the response she had gotten, her ears completely flattening against her head. "I see you seem to have turned back to your fathers side...Take it your answers a no..." her voice seemed to be cracking with sadness. Before she had seen something in him, but how quickly he seemed to have turned on her made her doubt it. "Just hoped you were ok after all that happened, I felt responsible. Have a nice life" she nodded her head towards him gently. She believed his act, but also she knew that if he was what she had thought he wouldn't be able to stand seeing what he had just done. The cracking sadness in her voice had been real, him talking to her like that hurt a great deal. She turned herself around, body low and began to slowly walk away. Stopping she glanced over her shoulder, giving him one last look before continuing on slowly. How had such a good night just done a complete turn around, she'd never had one person be able to do that before. Usually she would've brushed this off, after all if someone wasn't going to bother with her why should she bother with them? He was different, their friendship was forged when it shouldn't of been and she felt like that made it stronger somehow.

Draco's fierce look softened as she spoke. He stood back straight instead of looking like he was ready to pounce. "My answer was never a no. Don't you see I'm doing this for the best. To keep everyone from fighting? I didn't want them to hurt... you." he said, his voice getting softer as his words went on. "You weren't responsible for anything Ava. It was Allison." he said as he walked forward a little but seeming a little reluctant to get to close to her. "But I never said no Ava."

Ava halted as his words hit her ears, causing her to turn around. "You know I can look after myself Draco, this is just letting them win..." she paused for small while, as if the next words were difficult. "It hurt me when you said what you did, more than those words would if they'd come from someone else. You're the first proper friend I've had" she finally spoke. She wasn't sure if the last sentence was the cause of her feeling like that, but she did care about him to say the least. She took a step towards him, distance was needed but it didn't mean she liked it. "Even so, I should've just walked away from her. I'm glad your answer isn't no, but something tells me it can't be yes either" suddenly her plans got very complicated. Even this was risky, so how could they plan to bring the packs together without communicating. "If we can't talk, this isn't going to work. Peace was a nice idea while it lasted, but realistically it's not possible now" she sighed. It was weird for her to be like this, but there was a lot going on in her head right now. Truthfully she needed some luck to turn up right now, the kind that would make her plan possible at least.

Draco sighed, "Ava, I don't want to hurt your feelings. That's the last thing I want. I want you to be safe. If anyone finds out, they'll kill you. They'll go after your family." he said softly. He walked closer to her, "You're not terrible like I was taught. You're nice, you care, and you are brilliant. I've never met anyone as full of life as you. I wish I felt the same way about life that you do." he said quietly. He wanted to keep his promise to her but how? He didn't know what it would take to get two families who absolutely hated each other to come to peace. Draco figured it'd be easier to get her family on board than his own.

"I know, but trust me, we can take care of ourselves. We may not be as ruthless as you, but it doesn't mean we aren't able to shed blood" she spoke. Turning to her human form she stood there, looking at him. "You do Draco, you're just not allowed to express it or Let it out. For a violent, mindless innocent killer you're not half bad" she gave him a partial smile and chuckle. "Trust me, if you were as bad as you thought I wouldn't be standing here still and you know it. If you can be like this others can, I just wish I could convince my parents not to judged your pack so harshly" she sighed. Although they could be swayed it would take a lot for that to happen. Each time she spoke she got a little closer, she wasn't sure why she kept stepping forwards. "You're one of the best people I've ever met" she spoke very quietly, almost as if she didn't want him to hear.

Draco started to back up as she kept approaching closer but he stopped himself. He knew what she was saying was true. He wasn't a completely cold blooded killer or he would have killed Ava the first time they met after those nine long years. He dropped his head, "They have every right to judge us. he said quietly. He felt it was possible to win her families approval, even if it would take time. He also knew that his family would probably never respect her family, especially his father. He didn't have a plan yet for his family and trying to get them to accept Ava's. It would be, in time, his mother's weakness that would end up closing the deal. He looked back up at Ava, "I'm sorry Ava." he said as he walked forward just a little bit more.
