Sunbeam brought Akirl to the bottom of the hill, looking up to see the two and said proudly; "See? I knew I smelled them."

Akirl panted and looked up at them, giving his tail a quick flick to acknowledge the lions above before letting himself catch his breath.

Sunset nodded to them before nudging Rustymane. "Somebody's here."
Rustymane looked over and saw Akirl, a smile emerging on his face. "Hey!"

Akirl smiled back. "Hey! Just wanted to see if you were alright. You all doing okay?" Sunbeam nodded.

"The pride is settling in well!" He sat up. "We're going to continue exploring the area and building the dens up. They've been doing well so far!" Rustymane looked to the 3 bush-like dens, but they're just huge dens of ferns, leaves, twigs and vines, not actual bushes lol.

"That's good. I'm happy to see you all are doing so well."

Sunbeam added; "We miss you guys!"

He smiled and looked at Sunbeam before saying; "Alright, As long as you're alright I think Sunbeam can sleep at night again."

The Primal chuckled and said; "If there's anything you need just come over and ask!"

"Yep! We can always help whenever we can."

He nodded and said; "Alright, we should get going." He gave the two a last glance before he turned and padded off, Sunbeam continuing; "This place is nice by the way! I bet Akirl thinks so but doesn't wanna say it." He gave a friendly flick of his ear and followed Akirl.

Sunbeam went over to Akirl and said; "They seem happy! I want to visit them again when they get finished with whatever they're working on."

Akirl nodded, yet he didn't know how to know when they'd be finished. He guessed they'd have to figure it out.


Once they were back in the pride everyone was asleep. Akirl looked up at the sky and noticed it was getting dark. "Night already?" He muttered.

Sunbeam shook his head. "No- rain."

"Oh. Well good, the lake needs some fresh water." He grumbled and settled close to Root, while Sunbeam gave Valentine a glance before padding past her and laying with Bristle and Jugular.

The rainfall had caused the lions to ensure the dens safety before use. Rustymane looked up at the clouds. For a faint moment, he thought he saw a spirit controlling them, however he shook his head. Surely he was just a little tired.
Sunset watched the lions as they all walked into the dens for shelter. The leopon just enjoyed the rain on her pelt, not worrying about and sickness that it would give to other lions. After all, she couldn't get those colds. Her goose sat next to her. She glanced over. The goose tilted it's head as Sunset rested her paw on it's head for a moment.

Ocean poked Meadow's stomach with her nose. "Do they bite you?"

"No, they're not even born yet. They're developing, is what it's called."

Ocean's eyes widened in amazement. "Whoa! That's awesome!"

"Well it is when your King picks you, but not that awesome when they're ready to be born." She licked a paw and ran it on her face before adding; "But you're too young for things like this. You'll understand when you're older."

"Aww... okay!" Ocean nodded and turned to Jugular and waved her tail to Meadow before leaping to grab the male cub.

The young lioness stretched before Akirl came over to her, rubbing his head against hers. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine. I am a bit hungry, though."

"I'll go get you something to eat." The King went over to the tunnel before she could say she was able to go herself, and she laid down, suddenly feeling lazy. Is this was the luxury she got from having Akirls future cubs she liked it! She watched him come back, a gazelle carcass being dragged beside him until he placed it in front of her.

"You know I could have gotten it myself."

"I know, but I want you to be careful while you're bearing my cubs. They're quite important to me."

Meadow nodded and he continued; "Also, I've made a new rule for the Pride. I'm going to be bringing the Pride together to listen."

"Alright. I'll try to stay awake for it."

He smiled and left her to eat.

The leopon sat, listening to the rain sing it's low humming song. Her goose had taken shade in the den under the hill, so she was left alone once more.

Feral walked out all of the sudden, making Sunset look away from the sky to him. "Is there something you need, young Feral?" The large Ferus male shook his head, "Only a bit of space to stretch out." Sunset nodded, "Your size and the size of those dens don't suit each other all too well."

Feral shook his head once more and joined her side on the hill. He looked down on the empty camp. Something inside him burned upon sitting up on top of the hill...

Akirl rushed onto the higher part of the Prides land and roared; "I have an announcement to make!"

He watched as lions got up and pricked there ears to listen, the cubs looking around curiously to see what the commotion was about. He sat down and said; "I've thought of a new rule to be added to the Pride."

"Ugh, not more rules. That's the last thing we need." Valentine scowled, and snarled when Queen smacked her muzzle.

"I've decided that all female lions that are not mine and are younger than two years will be considered 'adopted' by me or another lion, but if they grow to 2 years they will no longer be considered adopted and will be their independent lion."

"Why's this come up?" Kindness tilted her head, and Akirl shuffled awkwardly before admitting; "It feels weird to breed with a lioness that I've adopted. I feel more fatherly attached to them then, and everyone knows I would never have cubs with my own kin."

"Oh.. I see." Kindness looked at Meadow before adding; "That makes more sense now."

Akirl nodded and dipped his head. "That is all."
