(I'm gonna timeskip cuz I just thought of something really cool)

Several days had went by since the Leopon had made her way into Akirl's territory and she hadn't moved an inch; Akirl knew since even during night when he woke up from a horrible dream she was still sitting there, looking around. He had never caught her trying to eat a thing.

Night hit Akirl as the best parts of the day after his constant nightmares refused to let him sleep. One especially dark night he yawned and laid next to his two new cubs, Flicker and Sly, and went to sleep almost instantly, yet he, once again, was getting no sleep, yet a loud voice woke him with a roar; "Everyone wake up! There's someone here!"

He shot up from his attempted sleep, blinking away his tired eyelids to see a lion, but not a normal lion; the lions whole body was glowing, his mane flowing even with no wind in the air. Sparkles of light flew off of him and his eyes glew greatly as his eyes met the Leopons, as if he had finally accomplished a mission.

"I am Fiou, one of the members of the Star Pride, and I have come here to give the Spotted Pride good news." Without waiting for the Pride he spoke of to ask, he continued; "You have met your Wiser, the Leopon that sits patiently here. She has come to guide you independently. You are stronger with her. She will be with you for Kings to come. You needn't Akirl anymore. " Fiou gave the Leopon a nod and turned, walking off a few steps before he vanished.

Akirl blinked. Was that it? Nothing about him? He suddenly felt angry. A member of the Star Pride came into his territory to tell another pride they were now able to live without him, and they had a Wiser with them now?! Where was his Wiser?

He suddenly found it useless to argue with ancestors decisions and got up to look at Rustymane and the others. "You heard the mane; it's time for you all to go."

Feral, now a newly grown adult, woke the pride from their sleep.

Blizzard saw the whole thing. So it WAS Star pride she was seeing!

The lions all gathered around the Leopon, having all heard what the Star Pride spirit said. The cubs and adols were bursting with questions and the older lions looked at the Leopon with admiring glances. Rustymane intersected them. "Alright, alright. I believe you." He dipped his head in respect for the Leopon. "You have the Spotted Pride's blessings."

"No, you all have MY blessings, it seems." Sunset chuckled.

Rustymane looked up at Akirl."So... this is it, huh?" However much happy he was to be finding a new home, he would, deep down, miss Akirl and the other pride's company, even if Akirl would not.

Akirl looked at the other King and, even with how angry he was about the Star Pride not mentioning him, he suddenly felt sympathy for them. He nodded. "Yes. It was a pleasure helping you all and making some good memories." He smiled. "You can visit the Akirl Pride anytime you'd like."


Forbidden and Stalker went over to the other Pride with their tongues sticking out at the others. Spice yawned, clearly kept awake by them and too tired to care about how they acted.

The adols teased Forbidden and Stalker light-heartedly.

Rustymane smiled up at the king. "May our paths cross again. You have a great pride with a great king!" He then looked to his pride. "Everyone! We will be leaving shortly! Be sure to wish any friend you've made in Akirl's pride farewell, but know that our paths may cross again! The hunt has brought back food for anyone who is hungry. Be sure to eat from OUR hunt before we leave!"

He looked to Sunset. "Do you know where we're to head yet?" Sunset looked at Rustymane. "It seems you don't want to leave Akirl's pride behind... your bond has grown strong. If you so desire, I know of a forest next to this pride's territoru. It's been uncharted, unclaimed, has plenty of food and is suitable for pride life. It even has a whole camp for the pride to rest in!"

Rustymane grinned widely with hope. He looked up to Akirl. "Did you hear that? Maybe- if you so wish, that is, we could... be neighbors or something? Your pride is very nice to hang around if you'd like to still keep in touch!"

Akirl liked the idea a lot. "Sure thing! I'd love to know how you're doing from time to time." He looked over and noticed most of his Pride had come to say their farewells.

Spice finally seemed to get back consciousness and pawed at her cubs, saying; "Don't act like you two were innocent. You made fun of those poor adols and I want to hear you apologize."

The sisters whined yet finally went up to the adols and Forbidden muttered; "We're sorry.."

"I guess we are..." Stalker mumbled. The two cubs turned and looked up at their mother to see if they did good, and she gave them narrowed eyes, yet nodded, and they went back to her, sitting together eyeing the adols, agitated.

Spirit and Meadow, adols Akirl recently took in, went over to the Pride, went to the front of the commotion to the adols.

"I know we haven't talked to you all but you seem like really cool and I hope you come visit us so we can get to know eachother better!" Meadow said, looking at Harley with curiosity. Spirit nodded. "Come talk to us whenever!"


Akirl chuckled and went back to the front of his Pride. "Alright. Be safe, Rustymane."

The three mutated lions who had been made fun of just chuckled. "Oh, you're alright! We know we're weirdos!" Harley laughed. Feral smiled, seeing Harley had toned down the risky challenges.
Harley nodded to Meadow and Spirit. "Of course!"

The two prides said their farewells and the hungry lions had ate from Rustymane's hunt. They were soon ready to leave. Rustymane turned to Akirl. "You be safe too. I wish you luck for your pride!" He smiled, looking to Sunset. "We're ready to take off now."

Sunset nodded and lead the lions out. The lions yelled their final goodbyes to each other as they left. As soon as they were there, they were off, ready to find their new territory.

Akirl watched until the other Pride had completely vanished, then he turned to look at his Pride. The Pride was smaller now, but he suddenly felt a weight lifted from his shoulders. He laid down and relaxed, feeling better than he had felt in awhile. He looked over and noticed Queen smiling at him. "I knew you'd feel better after you got them off your shoulders."

"It's not like they were a burden, they just got us to work harder." He said simply.

"I know. Noone's a burden to you unless they're a threat to the Pride." She said teasingly, and he chuckled. "You've got a point."

Blaze came over to him with their cubs and asked; "Can they begin practicing yet? They're a pawful, really."

He looked at Sly, who was in the middle of running over to his father to tussle with one of his paws. Akirl looked over to se his daughter also trying to climb up her mothers' leg, and he understood why she was tired. "Practicing wouldn't hurt. Sure, we can go."

Blaze sighed in relief and Grabbed Sly with her jaws as Flicker sat victoriously on her mothers back. Akirl got up and roared; "I'll be on training grounds if anyone needs me." He looked at Queen. "Make sure someone isn't getting into trouble." He glanced at Valentine.

She nodded. "I'll make sure of it."

Sunset lead the pride across a large, stone bridge out of the territory. The stars shimmered in the river below the bridge as if Star Pride had blessed this river, this bridge, maybe even made it for the pride. Maybe so that they could be more independant quicker...

The lions guided their way through the forest, As Sunset said, uncharted by lions, unclaimed, prey-rich. It wasn't too hot, too cold, too dry, too damp. It was perfect.

They finally walked into the camp. It was guarded with large oak trees and prickly thorned bushes. There was a small hill on one side, plenty of room for dens around it. The hill even had a built in den. Maybe the pride leader or Sunset could use that one.

There were rocks on the hillside that they could climb up, or they could just climb up the hill from the sides. Although, they might be pricked by ferns while doing so. The big oak trees shaded the camp, protecting the sides of the camp and some of the middle from any rain, hail or heavy snowfall that might damage the camp.

It was all great for pride life. All they had to do was construct dens and maybe add more protection if need be. Rustymane climbed up the hill with Sunset, watching the pride start to settle in along the sides of the pride. The adols were in a big group in the middle, soaking in the first rays of dawn sunlight. The older lionesses stayed in the heavily shaded areas of the camp.

The younger lionesses and sub males gathered in a group near the enterance. Feral looked up at Rustymane. "How about I lead a patrol to gather den materials while Moon leads a patrol to explore the area?" He called. Rustymane nodded. "Good idea!" Sunset nodded in agreement aswell and the two sub males lead the chosen lions out.

Akirl walked with Blaze as the to the training grounds, the cubs ahead, going between play-fighting and running so their parents don't get too close and stop them. Blaze started conversation; "I feel bad for Cocoa.."

"Is something wrong?" He said, concerned. She looked at him and huffed in his face before saying;" Cocoa's been trying to impress you for the longest time, you big dummy! She even bought things to wear so you'd be more interested!"

His eyes flashed with shock. "You're serious?"

"Yes!" She rolled her eyes jokingly. "You can never catch a hint sometimes."

He blinked with understanding. That's why she suddenly had that fur-looking thing on her shoulders! it was pretty, but he didn't think she was trying to make advances. He shook his head and continued walking. He'd keep her in mind later.


When they got to the grounds the two were already jumping from one place to the other, trying to catch the other before they sprang away. They sat and watched, Akirl ordering one of them from time to time; "Jump from the edge of the rock, not the top." "Use your head to push against the chest and push." "Make sure you grab the tail and pull hard- no, not on her! She's your sister!"

Blaze looked at him with a warm smile as he went over to his daughter, who was grooming her frizzy tail from the vicious bite. Sly looked down at his paws embarrassingly. "I'm sorry..."

"It's alright, just be more careful. This is practice; there's no need to actually hurt anyone unless they're hurting you back. Got it?"

"Yes!" The cub nodded, suddenly determined, and he went over to his sister and nudged her. When she gave an attempted roar and raised a threatening paw at him he said quickly; "I didn't mean to! I'm sorry, I really am!"

She looked at him, then nodded. "I forgive you."

Moon started noticing the river seeming a bit aggressive as they explored. Blazed Tail noticed and looked at it with him. "That's... odd.. The river hasn't been that calm since we got here!" Moon was a bit shocked at her words. "It's been worse?"
Blazed tail nodded. "Yeah! It even made the grass around it incredibly muddy once!" Moon gave it another look, dipping his tail tip in. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary with the water, just how forceful it was. "Hm... Let's keep on. If it gets worse, we shall report it to Rustymane."


Feral saw Blizzard Bays climbing up in a tree for tree branches. He looked up at her. "What're you doing?" Blizzard looked down at him. "Tree twig and branches could hold the material together!" She mumbled with some twigs in her mouth.
Feral nodded. "Good idea!" He grabbed some ferns and twigs from a bush, even a couple vines and continued on.

Flicker suddenly gets up and races off, saying; "Last one to the Pride is a one-eyed hare!"

"Blaze giggled and purred; "Lets see if you can beat us, boys." And she dashed off to follow the cub.

"Wow, she's fast." Akirl said in quick amazement before Sly snapped; "C'mon, dad! If you're the one-eyed hare I wouldn't be surprised!" And the cub ran off, Akirl roaring playfully and followed, catching up with his son easily. "Now who's the one-eyed hare?" He smirked and ran past the cub, making it third in the race, Blaze first and Flicker in a quick second. Sly made it after a bit of waiting and said;" That was so much fun! We should do that more often!"

"We should." Blaze purred. "If your father isn't too busy we could make something work."

Akirl shook his mane, slightly embarrassed. He watched the others go to their spots to rest, yet he panted as he looked over to where the Spotted Pride had left not too long ago. 'I hope you all are alright.'

The patrols came back, Moon noting what Blazed tail had said to him to Rustymane and Sunset. Sunset said that as long as it didn't destroy anything, it should not be such an issue beyond a bit of muddy ground.

Feral and the others got to work, soon making their first big den out of all the materials. He huffed, sitting down by it. The sun had grown high above the sky in the afternoon. "This'll take forever.." He huffed.

Akirl finally got up and turned to the others, looking to see who he could take with. He looked around and found Root, a lioness he found recently and had agreed to follow him. He puffed up his mane and walked over to her.

"Hello there. Would you like to take a stroll with me?" He asked, and she looked over at him warily, yet nodded a small nod.

He got up with her and went to leave the Pride until Queen asked; "You're leaving again?"

He looked over and glanced at Root, then the lioness gave a quiet 'Ohhhhh' and nodded.



Akirl walked close to Root as he asked; "How's the Pride life doing for you?"

"It's... fine." She said. He gave her a disbelieving look and said softly; "Is there anyone making you nervous?"

She was silent then said; "That red lion with all the nice decor, she's making me feel unsafe." She blurted. "I feel like if I get on her nerves just by standing around or accidentally bumping into her she'll claw my fur off."

Akirl gave her a warm look and she gave a small smile. "There's nothing you need to worry about. She's feisty but I'll make sure she knows when enough is enough."

She nodded, and they sat in silence for a long while. Akirl looked around from time to time as he heard vultures crying in the distance. Then he said; "If you want to go back to the Pride I won't stop you. I just wanted to bring you here so we could take about what was on your mind."

She hesitated.

The lions worked harder and harder, getting the others to help out on a second den. They started working on a 3rd when Feral was out. He huffed, exhausted. "Damn! This WILL take forever!"
Harley walked up to him. "They're doing pretty good. It's nearly sunset and they've already started work on the 3rd den. You DO deserve a break." She put her tail on his back as he layed down. Sunset and Rustymane had even started helping out with the huge task.

Akirl came back into the Pride and stretched, Root close behind. She walked over to the prey stash with her tail held high and Queen came over and shook her head, saying; "I hope you got what you wanted."

"Course I did." He boasted and went to sit with a group of lionesses; Kindness, Future, Brutal, Berry and Velvet Cake.

"Yes- that buffalo almost pulled my tail off!" Brutal announced, and the lionesses gasped. "It turned and looked like it would break in half on it's own by how desperately it was trying to grab me, then I clawed my way onto it and clawed it's neck til it was over. That was the scariest hunt I've ever had to do."

"I have a similar story," Berry put in, and the others turned their attention to her; "I was hunting with the others and there was a gazelle eating in the distance. I stalked it and I jumped onto it's back, but it brought it's hind-legs up and kicked me. I remember I went flying back! The others caught it before it could run but I remember I couldn't breathe in one of my nostrils for a week until it stopped bleeding."

Akirl went over to the lioness and rubbed his head against hers. "And I'm glad you were so strong through it all. You didn't complain a bit."
