"I thought something like that would be the case. I won't break out a fight if I can prevent it." He looked to the side for a moment. "How's your pride been since the battle the other day? Recovering well?" he gave a friendly smile, changing the subject. Rustymane enjoyed the company of Akirl anyday.

Akirl shrugged. "Do whatever you want to make my brother leave you alone. The Pride's been okay; those rival lions didn't do much but scratch one of two of my lionesses. I've been kicking out lions and bringing in new ones, nothing out of the ordinary. Your Pride must be doing just fine by the looks of things." His voice was mellow, as if he was rapidly losing interest in the conversation. As much as he said there was nothing going on in the Pride there was too much happening; new cubs being born that kept him from sleep, Valentine causing trouble left and right, Jugular was a handful, but he was very strong for his age, which was promising, but anything else just overwhelmed him. He gave a deflated sigh.

Rustymane smiled at him. "Well, that's good. Our pride is doing well too." He cleared his throat. "I mainly just wanted to check up on you for a minute. I could go now, if you want me to." He didn't know what else to say with him.

The King looked at the other and nodded. "I could only assume it is," Wanted to check up on him? He wasn't a cub. "And I don't need checking up on. I'm a King, you're a King, we're meant to be independent, not looking after each other like weaklings." Akirl growled. "It'd be best if you left, yes." He added over his shoulder as he turned to leave, his ear flicking in irritation.

His ears pinned back. "Well, alright.." He turned and walked off. As he returned to his pride's territory, he sighed. He just wanted to see how a friend was, wasn't trying to baby him or anything. Maybe he said something wrong? Maybe Akirl didn't want him around so much since they left? He wasn't sure.

Rustymane returned and went to his den. He layed there. "Hm..." Maybe Akirl was right to be mad, maybe he was around too much. Maybe he should just stop like the spirits want him to. He didn't know. He sighed.

Akirl already was back in the Pride, his eyes looking at Bristle and Jugular speaking to a cub. It wasn't a cub he'd seen before, and he growled as he stepped forward, yet Jugular stepped forward. "Look, I know it's bad that we brought a cub but she wouldn't stop following me when me and Sunbeam werepatrolling, then we lost her..."

"But now she's back? Where's her parents?" Bristle added, giving the adol a glare, and Jugular shrugged, giving Bristle a confused look. "You want me to just think up where her parents are? I thought I wasn't supposed to lie-"

"Yes, you aren't, I just thought if a random cub was here - perfectly healthy, looks like it - her parents would be somewhere. At least her mother!"

Jugular shrugged again, and Akirl decided to shove past the two to give the cub a look. She looked weird, but she was a brave one to not be squealing about the amount of lions around her being so unfamiliar. She fized her eyes on the King as he stared back, and he turned and interrupted the two younger male's arguing; "We're keeping her."

"Oh," Jugular said after they both gave surprised looks, then he smiled. "Great! Another future lioness sounds great to me-" He was bowled over by a sudden angry, actual, lioness, and after he came back from his shock he noticed it was Hellfire, hissing at the male. "What do you think we are- objects to collect?! I'd ought'a kill you now!"

"Says the lioness who just had Akirl's cubs!" The male pushed her off him with relevant ease, and the lioness growled, yet turned and stalked off. Huh. Weird. Akirl went over to the adol and nudged him aggressively. "Don't talk about the lionesses like that. They're an extremely important part of the Pride. Think; a Pride isn't a Pride without lionesses."

Bristle frowned. Did Akirl mean that as in hinting Jugular would be the future King or was it something else? Hopefully not. He looked over to where the cub was when he noticed she was gone, yet with a few glanced around he caught her stalking Sunbeam's stub-tail, and chuckled as the male gave a startled roar as the cub jumped onto his back, looking shocked a cub he didn't recognize was on him. Akirl'd have to tell the Pride about that little thing.

Feral plopped down, watching the pride going about it's day. Harley was welcoming 2 cubs that'd stumbled into the pride. They looked well related, 2 piebald cubs with the same variant, with the same zebra stripe markings. Cedarkit and Beigekit, the two future lionesses were playing with Harley's tail.

(Ahh I just noticed you've been trying to go back to when Rustymane was alive, but if that's too much you can always timeskip to update your roleplay Pride to your actual Pride haha)

Solstice flicked her tail about as she proudly strutted over to Sodden; she decided to speak to the lioness after she birthed, and the new cub looked promising.

The lioness was licking the cub as the adolescent padded over. "Sodden! How's it going?"

"Oh- you startled me!" The lioness raised her ear and her eyes widened, then she relaxed, yet the cub was still shaken; it opened its mouth and scrambled to her paws. Solstice snickered and nudged the tiny cub upright. "How're you feeling after the cub?"

"Ehh, could be better, but some more sleep always does me good." Sodden murmured. The adol was about to speak when Jugular pushed himself in, giving the cub a weird look before speaking up; "That thing's your cub? I mean, it has your genes?"

Sodden fluttered her eyes in a uncomfortable manner. "Yes, my cub with my genes. She's my daughter. Akirl's daughter, too."

"Ohh, of course it's Akirl's." The adol groaned, and Solstice looked around as she heard growling, and she flinched as Hellfire's gaze was fixed on the male. "Right, right- okay, Sodden, we'll be.. around-"

"Wait! Get me some food before you go for good. I can't feed cubs until I've fed myself." The lioness chuckled, Solstice joining, yet Jugular huffed. "Yeeah, stuffing your face will somehow feed the dumb little cub, too."

There was no need to educate him on how lionesses and cubs worked; Solstice bet he was only acting rude to gather himself some attention, and as much of a problem it was to her, she also found herself liking Jugular's unique behaviour. Everyone else was.. boring! So keen on behaving, but Solstice wanted to befriend lions that were different, and Jugular was the perfect lion! Valentine was also one she wanted to become friends with, but she began acting.. too different.

IM BACK IM SORRY. also i think we'd have to have some stuff happen to get the timeskip to go, and akirl and them would still be around tho. Maybe Rustymane dies too young and Feral has to take over and my new lions start coming in or sum?//

Rustymane was looking at Feral for a while. He had on his mind something, something that Akirl's done for a while. He heard the males in Akirl's pride discussing who'd be the next heir to the throne for their pride. Although he didn't understand it, Akirl being young and strong in all, it got him thinking. Moon is a good friend to him, but Feral was strong, like a son to him almost. He was unsure, both of who he'd pick and if he should even pick at all.
