According to the Wiki, "Rosettes seem to be the most popular marking on Lioden currently, due to the mysterious nature of how they're passed on, and the fact that they can randomly pop up in any breeding. There are tons of user theories and conspiracies floating around regarding how Rosette works, but nobody truly knows—the code has yet to be cracked." I bred this cub recently with a random heavy briar rosette in Slot 7. https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794172055874 Her paternal grandmother had a mottled rosette and was the daughter of a G3 leopon. Maybe there is a combined effect of a lineage with a leopon/rosettes and feline marks? I’ll try to remember to add her parents’ appearances to this post after work today. 0 players like this post! my sibling actually just sired a random NHR cub and I remembered reading this post, so i checked and their king has two feline markings and the mother has one  I definitely think feline markings are coded to be involved with random rosettes 0 players like this post! Like? |

My king threw another random rosette this week! This time with a NCL! Here is my king’s markings: Slot 1: Ritual Indri (50%) Slot 2: Skyward Valiant (60%) Slot 3: Noctis Scraped Grunge (30%) Slot 4: White Soft Unders (34%) Slot 5: Algae Tail Carving (71%) Slot 6: Bone Inverted Quagga (78%) Slot 7: Red Panther (45%) Slot 8: White Inverted Zebra (100%) Slot 9: White Rims (58%) Slot 10: Feline 8 Onyx (100%) He has a leopon in his heritage and his mother had a mottled rosette. 0 players like this post! Hey! Got a randomly bred rosette as a nice surprise earlier, https://www.lioden.com/lion.php?id=794172739843 I checked super far back to confirm, so if this is any help to cracking the code. My main male randomly had a rosette cub, with a lioness that has nothing special Edit: This is the cub. Edit: none of the parents have a feline marking though, the father is my starter male, and the mother doesn’t exist. 0 players like this post! Couple random rosettes I've gotten: (pretty sure there's a couple of others, but this is who I have so far) Slot 11: Doubloon Soft Rosette Dad had Feline 9 in both slot 11 and in slot 9, mom has none Slot 2: Red Heavy Rosette Dad has triple rosettes (slots 2, 6, 10) but not that color, mom has two feline marks (slots 4 and 7) 0 players like this post! ive had two random rosettes pop up from my king so far! the first was a doubloon heavy rosette, which I've sold and looked through all 500+ of my cubs and can't find for the life of me, so i think she was killed or something. pretty sure her mom was this chased gal. iirc. she does have a feline mark [Slot 10: Feline 8 Orchid (57%)] but at the time my king did not. the second one i could actually find so i have solid evidence lol this girl (inverted heavy rosette bone) was my second random rosette. her mother was an NCL and her father was my king. at the time my king did NOT have his current feline mark and the mother was definitely a basic NCL because i label all my chased and keep them alive, so there's no chance she had a feline mark or preexising rosette. so, the first (possibly, if the lioness i linked IS the mother i remember) lion fits the theory of one parent having a feline mark (the mother, not the father), but the second doesn't! neither parent had a feline mark at the time of both conception and birth. 0 players like this post! ahh okay !! so your theory is that any “cat-like” markings have the off chance to throw a random rosette ? honestly i like that and it makes sense, i mean i haven’t seen any random rosettes with parents that don’t have those markings so ! also my king has had the same marks for a while so it def must’ve been from the “cat” markings he has 0 players like this post!
