Akirl felt a surge of anger flash through him, then he calmed down and took a deep breath. "If there's any issue involving my Pride-members I'd... appreciate the help, thanks." He mumbled. "But do NOT try to get involved with my lionesses or else I'll have you chased!" He snapped. He huffed and got up, shaking his ruffled fur.

"I understand. I won't lay a paw on them, I swear on my life. I just saw how tired you were, thought I'd try and help out a little..." Rustymane's fears made his voice slightly tremble, the weight of his reaction holding his heart down, making it feel heavy as a boulder...

He shook himself, trying to get back on his paws mentally.

Akirl gave the lion a last glance at the other King and said: "I trust that you do that."


He want back to the others and found Cocoa watching him for a second, flinching, then turning and rushing off to the other lionesses. He felt a wave of awkwardness hit him, yet it washed away as he heard Slate grumble: "I went on patrols two times already, can't I have a break?"

"Of course you can!" Queen said. "But I'd like it if you took one more just in case!"

Slate groaned. "Let me sleep a little before I go.."

She looked intensely then nodded. "Sure."

Rustymane stayed behind, his paws begging him to stay alone a while. So, he stayed there, looking around as he sat down. 'Dammit...'
His thoughts spoke to him, a bit burdened by his sudden ask of power over Akirl's pride. He has good intentions, but he just... messed it up, he guessed.

Suddenly, he heard rustling and the growling of a cub and an adolescent. They seemed bigger and stronger than normal. Rustymane crept closer before finally spying them in the tallgrass. He lifted himself from his crouch and spoke. "Well, hi there, you two."
He examined them, seeing they didn't look quite like normal lions. They had stumpy tails, unusual manes and much loner fangs sticking out of their top jaws/mouth.

The adolescent seemed cool and calm at the sight of the adult lion, while the cub seemed a tad bit timid. "Don't fear, young one. I won't harm you."
Rustymane shook his head. "No, do you know this is a pride's territory, though?"

The adol looked up at him and said quietly: "Hello." He seemed to be straight to the point. "I've come here to join a Pride. I mean no harm." The adol seemed to be looking straight over Rustymane's shoulder, straight to where the other lions lay. "Is that the heart of your territory, with those other lions?" He looked up at the king curiously.

"Not MY territory, no, my pride is only temporarily staying in a time of need." Rustymane looked with uncertainty before sighing. 'It's only an adolescent..' His thoughts told him before he spoke again. "I will see if Akirl may take you in. Come now." Rustymane kept his guard up.

The young ferus cub shook, hesitantly following the big lion. However, Feral stayed right behind Sunbeam, hiding whenever the male lion looked at him.

Sunbeam looked confused, then seemed to understand. "Oh, right. We've both had to get through some... hostile lions to get anywhere near here, and he's a bit shaken up by it still." He gave the cub a reassuring look when he turned to him. "This might be the place we decide to stay at. You can finally rest."

Feral nodded hesitantly before seeing the big lion turn to him. "Trust me, you'll be safe here. You don't have to be afraid." Rustymane's voice hummed, making Feral a bit less timid...

Sunbeam smiled and took a step forward. "Alright. I think we're ready to see where our new home is."

Feral was still quite nervous, but managed to follow Sunbeam's calmer steps. Rustymane lead them into the heart of the territory in the sight of the other lions.
Feral, too afraid, dashed into the cave with the pregnant and nursing lionesses. He stopped when he was in front of Blizzard Bays and her cub. "O-Oh! I.. er um... I-I'm sorry!" He stuttered nervously.

Blizzard smiled at the cub. "Oh, you're okay. I haven't seen you around here. Just show up?"
Feral nodded. Blizzard looked at the cub, noticing he didn't look so ordinary. "I see. Where do you come from?"

"Some snowy mountains..." Feral responded, making Blizzard nearly jump up. She looked at the cub. "...The mountains? But... they're so harsh, too harsh for any normal lions..." She remembered what happened before shaking her head.
"Ah, but you don't look like a normal lion... not that it's a bad thing, or course! But, I've heard of Primal lions being able to stand that stuff. Do you happen to be a primal lion?"
Feral nodded. "Me and my close friend are primals. We just got here, trying to find a pride to stay in. The mountains aren't nice..."

Sunbeam nodded. "We're as Primal as Primals get!" He looked around, looking as if he was trying to find someone he already knew too well.


Akirl was sitting with Cocoa and Frigid, having a calm conversation until he glance at who was staring at him, then he fully faced the Primal. Sunbeam stared right back.

The two stared at one another for a few seconds until Valentine pitched in; "Hey, are you there?!" She stood in front of Akirl and he looked at her, blinking as if he was finally out of some sort of trance. He finally nodded after he sat, stiff, and got back into the conversation, yet he gave the Primal a few glances from time to time. Sunbeam went back to the lions in front of him. "I see we're already welcome to stay here with the King."

Rustymane approached Akirl. "He and another primal cub came here in search for a home, so I thought maybe you'd be able to take one of them in.?" He looked away after he spoke, feeling as if though he'd somehow messed up again.

Feral looked at Mary. "Is.. that your cub?" Blizzard nodded, Mary fast asleep next to her. "I birthed her Christmas morning. (assuming they know what christmas is LMAO)"

"She does look very young... She's already pretty, though." He looked to Blizzard and smiled. "Oh! Well, thank you!" Blizzard purred.

Akirl looked at the other King and said cheerfully; "They can stay as long as they wish!" He gave Sunbeam an approving look. "He looks like the perfect male lion I've been looking for.."




Sermin sat with Slate, giving the Primals a cool glare. "What do you think about that Primal? Akirl keeps looking at him as if he's already made up his mind on him being his heir-"

"No he hasn't." Slate was in complete denial. "I've been with him since the beginning of his Pride. He can't just push me away and make... THAT thing the new heir!" He growled. Sermin chuckled. "Well I hope you don't get too heated if he does become the new heir."

Slate narrowed his eyes at the Primal. "There's no way..."
(LOL they can know about holidays. It'd make this more interesting when the holidays come around; they could celebrate them in their own ways)

Rustymane's ears perked up, a small sigh of relief exited his lungs. Atleast he hadn't made another mistake...


Blizzard looked outside of the den. "How about you go talk to some of the cubs or adolescents? Maybe see Shining Rays. She takes care of all the cubs." Feral nodded, then walking out of the den. He then felt nervous and overwhelmed by the sight of all those lions. It made him shake a bit.

Suddenly, a yelp sounded as a small piebald cub landed into the heart of the camp. Fire helped her up. "You okay, Harley?" Fire asked. "Yeah, yeah! I'm fine ya prickly pear!" Harley stuck her tongue out, getting back on her paws.
'Harley...' The name echoed in Feral's mind for a moment before she looked over to him.

"Woah! Who's that?" Harley looked at the unusual cub. "He. Looks. SO COOL!" Unsure of how to react to her, he did a nervous bounce before looking to the side. "Err... thanks! You look pretty good yourself..!"

"Oh! Thank you..!" The two smiled, unsure of what to say to one another. Feral cleared his throat. "I'm Feral. I heard you're Harley?" Harley nodded. "Yeah! Feral is an AWESOME name!"
"Thanks! So... wanna hang out sometime?" Feral asked, a bit unsure of what to do next. "Of course!" Harley purred.

Valentine stared at the Primal with a mixture of rage and discomfort. Why was he here? Why was Akirl looking at him like he wasn't a stranger? Why wasn't he paying attention to her instead? She grumbled, then decided to take matters into her own paws.

She went up to the Primal and snarled, taking the lions around them by surprise. "What do you think you're doing here?"

"The same reason you're here. Because my father refused to take care of me anymore."

Valentine stood in shock for a moment, then stuttered: "H-how do you know that?"

Yet all he did was give a smile and asked: "How did you get all that decor? it's nice."

She growled. "Don't attempt to stomp around my question! HOW did you know I was left here, and my father didn't REFUSE to take care of me, he just is on a journey and is probably coming back to find me now."

"Really?" He put his head up and sniffed the air a bit, then looked back down at her. "Well if that's what you're hoping for I won't try to persuade you that it'll never happen." He said coolly, then turned and walked off.

She felt intense anger flow through her, yet when she wanted to jumped and attack him from behind she found she wouldn't let herself.
