Akirl, the King of the Akirl Pride, found another pride seeking food, water, anything that could keep them on their legs. Instead of chasing the pride off he decided to let them stay for as long as they needed to. Pride with Pride they work together to not only make the new Pride, the Spotted Pride, feel more welcome, friendships were being made and enemies were being dealt with a whole lot easier with two Kings now around, but forces outside of the Akirl territory noticed this and didn't take kindly to it. "No two Prides should be working together! That's absurd!" "They're crazy. What if the other Pride tries to take over when the other Pride's guard is low?" And not only were mortals angry with the two prides decisions. Ancestors, angry ancestors, began plotting on the Prides' downfall. Not to kill them off, but to warm them that combining Prides wasn't allowed under the ancestors watch. Then a new presence made itself known... Rules: -The only rule is that this isn't a roleplay for anyone to join. Only friends of mine I've spoken to are allowed to be a part of this roleplay. Valentine seemed to stare at her for a moment longer, then sat down and said coolly: "I believe you. You do look pretty harmless." She seemed to relax a bit and asked: "What should we do while we're here? If there's nothing for us to do I might as well stay where all that noise is." She looked up into the branches of the tree, spotting out a blue jay. "I remember one time, some other lion I used to know chased after one of those jays. He leapt into the tree after it and smashed it dead with his large paws. Fella nearly drowned that day because he took the branch and himself down with it, landing straight into a lake!" She frowned, then nodded. "I guess there should be some lionesses taking care of the cubs. But.. I feel like they should also learn by themselves. It'd be a waste of energy to take care of them if they will eventually go off on their own, or stay and do things on their own. You have a harder time controlling them." Valentine swiped a claw at her raven, then giggled as it stepped back and gave a caw of alarm, but it didn't fly away, just settled back down close to her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Think as you will. I ensure their safety and look after them until they become asolescents, but that dosen't mean they don't learn things on their own aswell. I let them learn things by themselves, but make sure they don't get too hurt doing it." She licked her paw. "Besides, I'd never change what I do if I could, not in a million years. My interest has always been in mothering and seeing cubs grow up, acting as a close family member to them and taking care of them when their parents can't." 0 players like this post! Like? |

"Oh." Valentine shuffled her paws, then said: "That sounds weird. Why would you want to do that when you could just hunt all day?" She licked her jaws as if she just got done eating a delicious meal. "Prey sounds really good right about now." She looked around, then asked: "Do you know where all the alive food is? I used to have to hunt for myself, and I think I can take down something big this time!" She huffed is sudden irritation. "My dad never let me get anything bigger than a meerkat." She watched her furiously, a snarl coming within her throat, then she gave a roar, which was more like a loud screech, and kicked around in a fit, the raven leaping off her and watching her thrash around. "I don't wanna eat anything I didn't kill myself!" She snapped. She turned and ran to the left, saying: "I'll find my own food since you clearly won't be much help!" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shining ran after her. "Valentine!" She couldn't get her, so quickly rushed to the nearest lion. "Blizzard! Valentine's run off to go hunt! She's gonna get herself hurt!" Blizzard was sitting with Blazed tail, who looked at Shining. "Rustymane told the pride last night that she's pregnant, you can't expect her to go on a wild goosechase when carrying cubs!" Blizzard stood, not allowing any more lions get hurt when she could have done something. "No, I'll help." Valentine found she was alone and sighed in relief, sniffing to find any prey nearby. She saw a scorpion scatter by, and with a quick paw she smashed it under her paws weight. She felt better after the murder of the insect and continued on her way, the raven giving small songs, as if it didn't like where things were headed, yet she gave a snarl and it went silent. She soon came across two warthogs sitting in mud. She smirked and crept into the long grass, towards the two, then, when she suspected she was close enough, she sprang at the one that was closest to her. The one she leapt onto gave a screech of sudden panic, getting up and throwing itself in all different directions, yet Valentine had her claws and her teeth dug into the skin of the prey. The second gave a loud noise and Valentine was suddenly thrown to the side. The two shook themselves of the mud they were just in and ran off into the long grass, making noises that frustrated Valentine even more than she already was. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Blizzard had been intentively listening and rushed towards the sounds of warthogs and a crow. The two got there and were a bit scared. Blizzard turned to Shining. "Go get a huntress that can help me!" "Help you? You're going to have cubs, you can't be fighting warthogs-" "Just do it! Atleast I'm a trained hunter, and baring cubs dosen't make me weak!" Shining sighed and nodded, quickly darting off to get a huntress to help. Blizzard turned to the warthogs and growled, crouching down. The two ran at her, ramming into her sides. Valentine heard the commotion and attempted to get up to see, but the mud made it difficult to get out of. She gave a furious glance at the raven and snapped: "Help me!" The bird panicked a bit then flew above her, letting her grab onto him with her available paw, and it flew up, trying to pull her out of the mud, and she got out a bit, but still couldn't see what she was hearing, and she soon gave a screech of anger, the raven stepping back and lowering it's head. 0 players like this post!
