The warthog climbed onto her belly, making Blizzard roar out in pain and kick it away with her hind leg by the belly.
The other one had already gotten back up, but Blizzard roared again, driving that one away.
The second one got back up, staring down Blizzard, who had gotten onto her paws again by now.

Valentine thrashed around, attempting to pull herself out of the mud but found herself stuck on the other paw, too. She gave a shout of rage but couldn't move much. The raven gave a worried expression as she continued to shout aloud until she stopped for a moment then shouted: "Help! I'm stuck! Please, help me!"

Blizzard looked at Valentine, then at the warthog. She growled, starting to go around it. It had noticed, though, and ran to push her away from Valentine with a loud squeal.

Shining ran back to the two with Cocoa behind her. "It'll be okay, Valentine!" Shining called, rushing to where Valentine was struggling and pulling her out of the mud.

She shook her fur and snapped: "About time! I could've died!" Yet she was clearly more afraid than angry. She turned and found her flower crown in the mud. She screeched in true anger, stomping around, but she soon bent down, panting with exhaustion. She gave Shining and the others a sad look and mumbled: "Can you all not tell the others what happened?"

Shining sighed. "If we have to warn the others about the mud, we'll have to. For now, though, we'll keep secret."

Blizzard was still fighting off the hog, breathing very heavily at this point. Her muddied fur made her barely recognizabe, but some of that black and white shown through.

Cocoa FINALLY noticed the lioness and gasped, rushing over to Blizzard and leaping onto the hog, clawing at it repeatedly and pushing it off-balance. It fell to the side, yet Cocoa bit into the hogs neck and held it down as she bit harder, feeling for it to stop moving and it did after a long moment.

Blizzard caught her breath, collapsing onto the ground for a moment in exhaustion. Maybe she was weak... maybe that's why she couldn't save her pride long ago... Maybe...
She looked up at Cocoa. "Thanks.." Blizzard pushed herself up.

Cocoa gave a small nod, then went over to her and asked: "Are you able to get up?" She glanced at the lionesses pregnant stomach and felt a flash of jealously, then shook it away and continued: "I can help you come back home-" No, not their home. They weren't staying. "Err, help you come back to the others."



Valentine looked at her paws and gave a gasp of disgust; the mud stuck to her fur and made it clumped together. She gave her head a swing of aggression then huffed, asking: "Is there.. anywhere I can wash this off?"

"Thank you.." She sighed, accepting the help for once. Blizzard got her legs stable before taking a couple of steps to ensure her stability.

Shining picked up the muddy cub. "We'll see where you can wash off after we make sure you aren't terribly hurt."
She walked back to Blizzard's side, making sure she wouldn't fall.

Cocoa moved until she was sure Blizzard was upright and wouldn't fall, then she began to walk her to the center of the territory.



Akirl heard racket coming from nearby and looked over at see the lionesses holding Blizzard up, Valentine in Shining's jaws, dirty with mud. He gave a shocked expression before going over to them and asking: "What the hell happened?" He demanded.

"Shining WAS going to feed Valentine some prey that had already been hunted, but she insisted on hunting for herself and run off." Blizzard explained calmly.

Akirl huffed, looking a bit neutral about the situation, and Valentine seemed to be about ready to claw the lionesses noses off after what Blizzard had said. Akirl nodded and ordered: "I'll see if she's hurt in any way, then get her to the lake to wash off. Having mud on your fur for too long makes you a bit stiff." He turned and gave Rustymane a glance before walking past.

Rustymane was confused.

Blizzard nodded. "I'll come too, both to wash my own fur and to make sure that she dosen't run off again. Is that okay with you?"

Akirl shrugged and went to a small area with large leaves on the ground. He pushed the leaves aside and revealed items of all different sorts; feathers, bones, herbs. He picked at the herbs a bit before pulling out a thick leaf. He bit into it and ripped it into two, then put one half back into the hidden area, then took the other piece and peeled it apart. "Here. I see you have a gash on your leg."


Valentine hesitated, then brought herself over to him, showing the gash. He put the leaf onto the wound and her leg twitched but she sat through it. He then grabbed a thin, long piece of a leaf and wrapped it around the leg, keeping it over the leaf. "There. Can you walk?"

'I was able to walk even before this dumb stuff got onto me'. Valentine got up and wiggled the leg a bit before standing on it. She brought the leg up a few times as soon as she put weight on it, but then was able to stand on it easier after she forced the leg to stay on the ground. Akirl gave a nod of approval. "There. That should get better after some time if you let it sit and let the gash heal."

Valentine nodded and asked: "Now can I get this dry mud off me? I can keep it getting stiff, like you said."




Akirl lead the two to the lake and watched Valentine leap into the water, shaking to let the water rub the mud off her. He sighed. He could tell she was going to be a handful. If her father didn't come to find her and bring her back, that is.

Blizzard followed Akirl as he took Valentine to the lake. She took her time, making sure to be careful when entering the lake, not to get any more hurt and have something bad happen to her cub-to-be.
