Hm, a smug king that serves another is an interesting ask. XD As I said, I'm not good with geography, and I definitely don't know African geography, so I'll just throw this out there, and if you like it, I'm sure you can find a way to make it work.
So your set up definitely makes me feel like it's a deal from necessity. Maybe your side pride lives in a place with erratic weather... like a tornado alley sort of thing, or a place that has long, intense droughts. So they serve your main pride, for access to their hunting grounds, or watering holes, or sometimes to be able to safely rest on their land, while their home is under the attack of tornadoes, or on fire during a drought. This could either be an existing deal, or one that your charming king comes up with in order to save his pride from devastation.

Another possible option could be that it's an old deal made by past kings, that continues to be honoured over time and generations. Say an old king of your main pride, saved the life of an old king from your side pride, and so the side pride has always been dedicated to the main pride. Now it's just cultural, those lions grew up serving the main pride and the main pride lions grew up with the others serving them, and neither know a different way of life at this point.

As for names, your main pride are named after flowers. I think a fun addition could be naming your side pride after rocks and gems. Especially if you like my first idea, a pride that lives through natural disasters and a harsh landscape, might value the idea of rocks and stones, since they're tough, and some are even formed over time under harsh conditions. Plus gems are tough but beautiful, which seems like something that might fit a neutral, charming sort of king.

snowwy: I love Wings of Fire! I used to write fanfiction for it. I'm obsessed with dragons in general. Have you read book 15 yet? I haven't done that yet, but I wanted to know if it's worth the time and money (I have to get it from abroad since they don't sell these books in my country).

Sentient Being: I actually do have it figured out. I have collaborated with another player to merge our universes together, and the apocalypse is a big part of that. It is the reason why these two prides found out about each other's existence. I have big plans for some pride members regarding this storyline as well. I might post a link on my den page to a google doc with stories from my pride and one with general information about the territory and the many ranks and roles in my pride.

As for your side account pride, I'm totally on board with Aj's idea. Maybe the truce between the two kings was a result of a brutal war that the side pride lost and had to submit to their fate at the hands of the main pride? That's kind off my suggestion if it helps.

Uchawi: i havent read book 15 yet. im waiting for the paperback to come out. although, i have seen a lot of videos talking about it though. you should definitely read it if you want to learn what leafwings, silkwings, and hivewings do after wasp is taken down, and it also shows some events of the scorching(which im really interested in). it also introduced some pretty loveable characters (like dusky and freedom).

Sentient Being: Yeah that does seem like a better Idea, I think i am a bit excited to share what i have.
also I do think i will do that but i dont think can or may do that anytime soon because life but i will get to it one day

But to the other part you have, my ideas are this: Thier kinda a family in some way like brothers, cousins maybe thier a family friend, or your pride helped thier pride in some way like: low food/no food, something is threating your side pride and your main/first pride helped in some way, or maybe they where old friends as cubs but driven away do to time and now are talking agian.

As for some names, yours is flowers right? maybe Something with fruit or Barry to keep it with plants Like someone named Starfruit but is sometimes calld Zuzu or maybe ( and here is where i list some fruits or... not idk)
Pineapple, Peach, Tangerien, Strawbarry, Mango, Papaya, Coco (nut), Plum, Kiwi, lime, Rassbarry, Pomegranate, Blood Fruit (or is it Blood orange??), and many more that i belive many can pass as a name for a lion character.

or maybe something dangerous maybe? Like something sharp or Maybe something with fire, someone named Blaze and Razor

Oo maybe some kind of forbiden romance as a relationships/conflict

If or if not you want to take some of these ideas, its fine by me but i do like Aj's idea so if you take thier idea i dont blame you :D

snowwy: I thought you might be a fan of those :) I haven't read them in a while, but I used to love them. I really can't wait to see what you end up doing, and what personalities and stories the main protagonists are going to have. The suspense! The drama! I am in anguish waiting!

Uchawi: That sounds epic! Care to share a bit more now, or is it a surprise? Because I definitely want to know what the apocalypse is going to be. And if you do post that Google Doc, I'll definitely take a look at it! I love seeing how people organize their prides especially.

For those of you who suggested things for my side, thanks so much! I love all of these ideas. I love the idea of the side being from a more barren or difficult place to live, forcing them to make a deal with my main to become something like serfs who work for them in exchange for using their land. I also like the idea of the prides having been friends: both of my previous kings were sweet old goofy guys, so they would readily help each other without asking anything of one another. perhaps what started out as just a nice friendship turned into a delicate balance of power when the new kings took over: perhaps they don't even get along, but know it benefits both prides to maintain this deal. Thank you so much, you guys! I also like both the rock and fruit name ideas, so I think I'll use both. Because the whole point of the pride is true neutrality, maybe they believe in two sides, not neccesarily good and bad but rather one that's strong and fierce and one that's soft and kind. So the kinder lionesses will receive the fruit names and the tougher will receive stone names. They can have a sort of rivalry. I also might add in that forbidden romance aspect.

Sentient Being: The google doc is in progress, in fact, I'm working on it right now :) I might post a link here as well, just for convenience. I would prefer to keep it as a surprise but I will share a hint. It has slight connections to the April and June events. It does include supernatural stuff as well. I can't wait to share it with you guys

snowwy: Yes, new characters! Now I need to get the book! Although I do find it a little sus that new characters are being introduced in what is supposed to be the last book of the series. Oh, well I guess I'll have to read it before I judge it. As for the scorching, I've been waiting for this ever since Webs and his history class in Moon Rising! I hope that one day we'll get a book from Tui about it. Hopefully, it's not just my wishful thinking

Its been going slowly, and honestly i think im only 1/4 way there maybe less. I just got done with Light (the last sister of Sphinxs), Shin and Sly (the mediums) decors And i am realy happy about them . Now its to wirte it all down and dont get me wrong, I like to write, but i cant get myself to do it in my doc + busy life . I do have an idea of what I want wirten down i just dont have inspiration (and time maybe) but exsept for that, its slowly going for me

Sorry for not having been super active lately! I'm actually in the week of production for a play I'm doing, so I won't be able to reply to everyone until after Sunday. Bigmemes: I have the same problems on a daily basis XD What I usually do in those situations, is that I search for inspiration in existing media. Perhaps I find a storyline or a certain character I really like and base some of my creations on it. It's usually broad concepts though, I try to avoid anything that is not a trope. Songs help as well. I've been basing certain characters of mine on lyrics from songs for a while now, and it usually brings on very good results.

Could we maybe see your decorated lionesses? I'm curious about how they turned out. And don't worry about complaining. It doesn't sound like that to me at all

Uchawi: Yeah I do also get so inspiration form media/Music, but i dont have so many character that have backstorys so i havent got so many that was inspired by Music or media, its mostly the lioden month evets rn like Sphinxs (june) and her sisters.
But i do have one that was inspired my music, and its My second sub-male Lore and for his backstory/childhood I was inspierd by "boys will be bugs" by cavetown, as a cub he was builed for liking bugs and when he grow up to an adolescent, he bacame mean but to not go overbored (like how i sometimes do (idk if i do but i feel like i do) )and *spoiler* He grows form this fase and becomes a Confident lion (he still likes bugs) and he has a twin sister. I wont tell the events today but a another day.

I will try not to tell thier whole story here but
anyways:

i present Shin and Sly (the medium twins)


This is Shin, She is the weaker Medium and can only summon one whisper (thats what they call spirits) and need some trinkets to summon them. The eye thing only happens while summoning (and holding it) so they dont look like that 24/7


This is Sly, She is the stronger Medium And dont need trinkets to summon whispers, she can summon 2 or more (I forgot to give her the eye thing, and i am to lazy to change it now )

And to the flowers on thier bodys, my idea is that the flowers help them to not be posesed by A/the whisper, and protect them from evil things OoOo~ So the colour also maders becuse the some lions have diffrent Level of spirit immunity some have lower some have higher, (this is also the case for whisper contact Level like Shin and Sly some have lower some have higher) now these are diffrent to every lion some may have high Immunity but low Contact level (Things can be take afect like beeing born Weak gets a lower in any/both) And vise versa (is that how so spell that??) but lions can get higher/low level of any/both if they train for it. In the case of Shin and Sly, Shin had low in both and Sly had some what High in both (Shin is training to get higher level) Back to the flowers, now the flowers colour is how strong they are the darker the colour the stronger they are (I realise the i chould have said that in the begining Sorry) now most need these flowers to get thier remaining immunity ( you need 100 to safetly summon one or 2) but if you go over that, Whispers cant be summoned (form you) Sly learnd that the hard way.

Now this info is usless to a common lion, Whispers can only Interact with someone how has opend thier "Whisper ears" as The lions call it (its just the same as the third eye), nether by being summond or posesing someone with a low enough Immunity. And yes there is a community of Whisper ears

Oh god did i go overbord again? I dont want to clutter up the thread with my exsitment to tell my ideas and storys.
Also to the and "as The lions call it" comments, I kinda want a little originalety in how they speak, (like, they call humans "two feets") so they dont sound like they know human cultures (well not to much I dont want to make a whole new languge for them, Just some wordings to spice things up )

Uchawi: That's a great idea, basing lions on media and music! I've actually never done that, though I've been inspired by characters from books, movies, and shows. Out of curiosity, which of your lions are specifically based on songs or characters?

Bigmemes: Wow, their decor looks amazing! I love how they look so similar but not exactly identical. I really like your idea about different ability levels, and about the concept of immunity to possession. The flowers as protection is a really neat idea, and I love to think that different types/colors of flowers provide different levels. It's such a unique and interesting justification for decor. The concept of Whisper Ears could definitely be a great thing to expand upon or collaborate with. I like how you use different words, that's neat! I tend to use human-like words because I like to imagine that in my pride there are occasional humans who have the spiritual power to communicate with lions. I am kind of curious if you have a story for your blind lioness, Brute.
On another note, I would prefer it if you didn't ask for Tail Tuft Hairs to be given to you. Since tail tuft hairs are craftable and decor is part of lore, I'm okay with you asking for them to be sold to you but no begging please. Thanks!
