Uchawi: Thanks for being so involved here, it really helps when I can't make it to reply to people on time :) I didn't see Porrima, but Mira and Rubi seem like sweethearts, and I'm quite sure you are too. And I read the Doc, which is amazing! You were very thorough without over-explaining everything, and I love how the roles fit together! I also liked that you included a Lioden-specific element - the Primordial Spring - in your pride's lore. Your description of their home lets me picture it perfectly. I'm very curious, regarding the king and queen, whether the roles are meant to be romantically involved or if the queen often breeds with other males. It didn't seem that they had to be romantically involved to me, but just the words king and queen make me think otherwise. I also think it's neat that you wrote down previous lions who filled the roles, that way you won't forget them. I might have to do something like that. I do wish the clan was more active too, but to be honest I have no idea how to run a clan. I only wanted a place for us to be able to talk about stuff like this. If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me.

RAVEN: Wow, such awesome storyness! I love your writer's voice :) I have to know now, what happened after that? Like, did the cubs run back and tell their pride? Did Nebula still become the king, and did he start a reign of terror? What did ScarCrow do then? Because obviously he became king somehow, so he must have defeated Nebula somehow, right? I must know how this story ends! I'm so hooked.

Niagra: Hello, glad to have you! I definitely want to know more about your king and how this epic plot went down. How did Blood Mane wind up forming his own pride while the others failed? Why were they trying to take over another pride, and who were the other lions in the gang? You must tell us all the stuff about your king :)

Well, the King and Queen of the pride can be romantically involved, but they don't have to be. And yes, the Queen or King can still breed with other males/females. The only exception to this was the first Queen who only bred with the King. Also, the terms Queen and King are not gender related in my pride. All genders can be King, the same goes for Queen. It depends on which leader they are chosen as an Heir, and that's the only thing that matters.

As for the clan, I do have a suggestion or two. Perhaps you could host a raffle or a writing contest of some kind for clan members. Contests can be a good way to keep people active, and clan raffles can help pay the clan's monthly renewal fee (which btw is today). You can also appoint people as admins, who might be more active and help you in running the clan. They can host raffles, pay the renewal fee for you, and expand the number of members, but they can't appoint any new admins. They can generally keep the clan running if you're not active for a longer period of time.

Bloodmane Story:

Bloodmane was born to a lone lioness who refused to obey the rules of the Pride in order to protect her cub. Bloodmane is the son of the great king Dawnmane, who was dethroned by a roving gang of young men who roam the lands. Out of the entire group of lions, two young lions ascended the throne. However, in order to rightfully ascend the throne, they must kill all the cubs of the previous king. A lioness named Agilechase had a cub with Dawnmane blood under her heart and if born in the pride they would kill him. The agile Chase's great love for Dawnmane and her unborn cub forced her to abandon her pride in order for her cub to survive.
Agilechase runs away from the pride to a distant jungle, where she gives birth to a small red lion cub. It had beautiful blood-red fur that shone beautifully. Aghilechase named him Blood. Pretty cool name for a youngster, but Aghilechase knows he can do big things. These two lonely lions lived in family comfort in the middle of the jungle and lacked nothing. Blood grew quickly, learning to hunt and fight alongside his mother. One night, when Blood was sleeping and his mother was out hunting, he heard the roar of a lion. The young man was intrigued and frightened at the same time. His mother had taught him the rules of the pride and also what a young wandering lion could be, but a heart of curiosity and a teenage bloodlust commanded him to reach the man who owned this captivating voice. He reached the edge of the jungle where the border with the Savannah was. A male lion can be seen in the distance. He has never seen an adult male, and his soul longing for knowledge leads him ever closer to the lion. When he got close enough, he surveyed the landscape. The lion disappeared was gone. Blood tried to track him again, but before he could take a good look around, he was knocked to the ground by a huge paw. Blood in a mild trance tried to figure out who attacked him. But the massive paw did not allow him to pull his head off the ground. Across from him, a huge warrior with dark fur and a gray mane towered over Blood. His green glowing eyes pierced him with a look and sharp claws pressed uncomfortably into his skin. Blood was so scared of that he didn't decide to fight. He was already absolutely sure that the huge warrior would end it with him, but instead of a quick death, he got a question. "Where are you from, cub?" The lion's gruff voice dug under the young boy's skin and said shakily. "From the jungle back there." The lion looked towards the green forest and then back to the teenager. "Do you have Pride?" he asked with interest. "N-no. I live only with my mother." The lion looked at him suspiciously but finally decided that the boy was telling the truth because he had no lion smell on this cub. "I'll let you go now. But I'll talk to you first. If you try to run I'll kill you, do you understand?" said the lion threateningly and let Blood go. Blood quickly got to his feet and, taking the man's warning to heart, sat down slowly. He carefully examined the lion attacked him and began to shake a little. "You a huge." Blood whispered but the lion apparently heard him and grinned. "My name is Tracker. And you young man?" Blood straightened a little and said, "Blood. My name is Blood." The lion looked at him doubtfully and said. "A bit too respectful a name for an ordinary lion, don't you think?" Blood just bowed his head and said nothing. "Would you like to join my group? We're accepting new boys and you might be a good fit." Blood's eyes lit up, "Really?" Tracker just laughed in a friendly way, "Of course. You're old enough to leave your mother, don't you think?" Blood became sad. Can he really leave his mother? He loves her and doesn't want to leave her, but the chance for something new intoxicated him so much that he couldn't refuse this request from Tracker. He seemed quite nice and maybe he could understand Blood "Can I say goodbye to mom?"
Blood and Tracker made their way to the group. Blood was so happy that his mother allowed him to leave with Tracker. However, Tracker had to swear that Blood would be in good hands and that he would protect him. Blood, however, became more and more sad every kilometer he was away from his mother. However, Tracker encouraged him so that the new member would not change his mind. When they came to the group, every lion came to greet Tracker and also Blood. However, this group of men was a pride attacking gang, but Blood had no way of knowing this until he also participated in the attack on the pride. There were more young lions in the gang who could be Blood's peers, but Blood was the smallest of the whole group and therefore did not participate in attacks on prides. But Tracker trained him and took care of him until Blood's time came. A few months later, when Blood had gained strength, he took part in his first attack. Blood was the fastest, slimmest and most cunning of all the lions, so with every attack he was looking for the king's cubs and when he found them, he killed them. By the time the lionesses noticed that the shelter of the lion cubs had been attacked, it was already too late. Sometimes it happened that there was one or two lionesses with them in the den, but despite his young age he dealt with them quickly because they were usually guarded by old lionesses who had already passed their good years. Blood had done his job and there was nothing standing in the way of the new king of their gang to become the rightful new king of the pride. It was cruel and it is cruel, but Blood took it as his job and after a few kills it stopped bothering him. In the gang, he got the name Child Plague because of his speed to find all the offspring and kill them as quickly as possible.
Child Plague was very important in the group for his age, but after a year when he had already killed countless children and helped several of his members to ascend the throne, killing children became boring for him. Tracker has already won its pride. Child Plague didn't want to killing the babies and the kings together with his "brothers" for the rest of his life. In the end, he left the group, albeit with great sadness. Even though they were murderers and merciless fighters, they were like one family in the group and Child Plague didn't want to leave the family like he did to his mother, but he finally left. He returned to the Blood name and tried to regain his pride himself. He fought with many men for their pride but always unsuccessfully. His young age did not allow him to prevail over fully grown males. After several attempts, he took to a solitary and nomadic life until he came of age. Finally, when he found a new territory that was not crowded with other prides and that was not threatened by gangs, he decided to build his own pride in water holes, and he succeeded. And he named the pride Dawn Pride after his father.

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been super active on here! I just started college classes and I'm swamped. But I have a few announcements.

First, I've added Uchawi as an admin. They're been very helpful, and with so little free time now, I really need someone to help. In fact, they came with the idea for the next thing I'm going to tell y'all, and I really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I just joined! I was so excited to find out this clan exists as I've always loved writing lore and wanted to meet more players who do too. I really enjoyed reading through everyone's lore in this thread.

My lore is a huge WIP at the moment and so far it's mostly based on in-game events, but the gist of it is my current king, Paeim, was taken in by the previous king as a teenager in a rare act of compassion and gradually charmed several members of the pride into helping him oust the old king and take over the land. This led to a great divide between the pride members, and the ones who took the old king's side were either killed, exiled, or scorned and demoted to lower living conditions. Trouble is, while Paeim can be a good ruler when he wants to, he is mostly driven by self-interest and power, and sometimes has moments where he doesn't seem like he's all there, mentally speaking, claiming to see spirits and take orders from a higher being who communicates with him through ravens. His most recent "order" has been seeking an oracle lion whose body the higher being can inhabit and speak through.

For now I want to work on the pride's history leading up to the divide, Paeim's backstory and what caused him to be the way he is, then figure out everyone else's personality and backstory. Then I'll probably take it from there. I also want to find a name for the pride or the land they inhabit, or both. I've also been kinda working on a custom language for them, and by that I mean I only have a few words and phrases (most of them can be seen in my lions' footnotes) but I don't know how far I'll manage to take it.
